40. There's No Place For Him Here
"Jamie, your placement letter today will be released. Get ready for your new office. Starting early next month you are already on duty in Tangerang. Your most recent position is as Tangerang area manager. So all the outlets in Tangerang area are your responsibility" Ran said to Jamie.
Jamie was shocked with a look of disbelief. He was appointed as Area Manager, previously he served as store manager in Surabaya. It is fitting that he was asked yesterday to attend a meeting about the plan to open an outlet sejabodetabek. At first he was confused because he was the store outlet manager of Surabaya city, but was assigned to come to Jakarta to attend a meeting.
"Your work has been great, Jamie. You deserve your position now" Ran continued his words while watching Jamie's shocked face.
"Are you willing or objecting?" ask Ran
"Of course I'm willing" Jamie replied as soon as possible.
"Where might I miss this good opportunity, sir" Jamie continued.
"OKAY. Work well and passionately" Ran said.
Jamie's face looks bright. Eventually his hard work has paid off. And during these two months he was very focused on working, reducing nightlife and alcohol. He learned from his boss who always lived a good life.
Even though she left Angel somewhere.
The woman has not been home for a week. Every time she was contacted, she would get angry and say that Jamie was no fun like she used to be. Jamie is very boring now. Honestly, when there was no Angel even made Jamie feel calm.
"Where do you know Rakha?" ryan surprised Jamie.
"Know at the night club. We are also a motor club" Jamie replied a little was was was was. Ran did speak calmly. But Jamie memorized, the boss never talked about things outside of work. Ran plugged a flash into his laptop. Then open a file.
"Listen to the end" Ran plays the voice recording when Ran kidnaps Lily.
Jamie took a breath and exhaled slowly so surprised to hear it. Every now and then he shook his head at Rakha's outrageous words. It's terrible what Rakha did to Lily's mom, Jamie thought. "I was naughty, but just having fun at the club. No more" Jamie thought.
If Rakha's actions were an act of evil. Jamie immediately remembered his conversation with Rakha last night. Rakha asks for a job. Though she knows that Jamie works at Ran's company Lily's husband, a person who has been colonized by her. How could he not feel guilty or ashamed for his actions, Jamie was not out of thought.
Rakha always stole a glance at Ran and Lily. He also looks nervous. But after Ran and Lily came home, Rakha looked calm.
Rakha had no idea who he was facing right now. The boss is a person who has a very good friendship network in various circles. Ran's family reputation was very good. Even those in the left stream did not dare to the boss, especially his extended family. Jamie murmured inwardly. He had several times seen his boss meet various types of great and important people from all walks of life.
"He used to be close to Lily, but only to make use of her. Money's motive. That was long before I met Lily"

"I don't really know him very well, just know him at the club" Jamie repeated his statement earlier. Worry Ran doesn't believe.
"He met me last night. Tells me that his business is quiet. He also asked me for a job" Jamie said honestly.
"After hearing the tape, are you going to ask her to work for this company?" ask Ran. He tidied up his tie.
"Of course not, Mr. Ran. I think what Rakha did was an act of crime. I wouldn't want him to work for this company" Jamie replied.
"OK then. There's no place for him here. She was lucky enough that we still pity not to report her to the authorities for the kidnapping and extortion case that she did to Lily" Ran said.
"You know, I never want to discuss things outside of work with employees in the office. But because of this last night I saw him with you without feeling guilty when I saw us. I was worried that he would come back to disturb my wife. Then I can't just shut it down."
"Hide secret about the recording of the conversation you just heard. Or you can forget, assume you never heard it" Ran spoke. He is always calm when he talks. But it can make the interlocutor stunned.
Jamie nodded quickly "Well, Mr. Ran. I'll keep it a secret"
"Thank you, Jamie" Ran said sincerely.
"Together, Mr. Ran" Jamie replied.
"Now you can continue your work" Ran said.
Jamie's out of Ran's room. Then open the phone. There's a message coming in from Rakha.
"Hour, how? is there a job opening at your place?'
'Sorry, brother. It turns out all positions are filled, Jamie replied.
It's terrible if he lets Rakha work with him in this company. His career could be ruined. Jamie took a breath.
Next month he is back in Jakarta, but he is determined to change for the better. There is no more nightlife and hurrah.

Meanwhile in a shop room, Rakha was thinking of a way to get close to someone who had a lot of money. Which he could use for his survival. It felt like getting close to a woman would be easier for him because he felt he had a handsome face and he was speechless.
He was recalling some of his female friends that he had a chance to approach. At least until the outlet starts to get crowded again. Right now the outlet is completely deserted. While he had to pay the salary of his cousin who worked at the outlet.
Two more months he also has to pay the rent for shophouse if he wants to extend. But he no longer had any money. The money he got from Lily was up for the wedding, DP the house, buy branded goods and foya-foya.
He had tried asking for a job in Jamie's office, but there was no job opening there. Whereas if she can come work with Jamie, there's a chance she could get close to Lily again.
