The Duke of Qin Ming

"Yang Fei," called Guo Lin Xu while knocking on Yang Fei's room door three times. But still he got no answer.

"Yang Fei, I brought you an osmanthus cake" Guo Lin Xu said as he entered Yang Fei's room.

"Where did he go last night?" guo Lin Xu muttered confusedly.

Not long after, Yang Fei returned to his room with a look of annoyance at the thought of Qin Jun who wanted to harm His Highness Qin Yang at the Banquet and Qin Jun did not want to go with him.

"Lin Xu, why are you here?" yang Fei asked confusedly.

"I brought you this osmanthus cake" Guo Lin Xu replied as he placed a plate containing some osmanthus cakes on the table.

"Where did you go?" guo Lin Xu asked curiously.

"I went to see my brother to remind him of what he said he wanted to come with me. However, he instead brought me to Duke Qin Ming."

"Does Duke Qin Ming know about that?" guo Lin Xu was worried. Yang Fei nodded in response.

"Duke Qin Ming did not arrest you or give you punishment?" guo Lin Xu asked with a puzzled face.

"No, Duke Qin Ming sent me back," Yang Fei replied with a long sigh.

"It's late at night, go to sleep" Guo Lin Xu said with a smile. The warm smile engraved on Guo Lin Xu's lips always made Yang Fei's heart feel happy.

"You also have to sleep" Yang Fei reminded.

Guo Lin Xu nodded and smiled. Then, he immediately left Yang Fei's room.

The morning when everyone had just woken up from their sleep, Yang Fei was already preparing to go to Fu Jian Palace. He wanted to meet with Duke Qin Ming immediately.

However, when Yang Fei arrived at the door of Duke Qin Ming's room, he was confronted by some of Duke Qin Ming's bodyguards who were standing guard at the door of the room.

"Without permission from His Majesty, no one can go inside!" exclaimed one of the guards of Duke Qin Ming.

"What if I still want to enter the room of Duke Qin Ming?" yang Fei said with a sly smile.

"Strike him!" shouted one of the bodyguards while unsheathing the sword into Yang Fei's heart.

"Why are there such noisy guards early in the morning?" duke Qin Ming asked Song Ming who was standing next to him.

"I'll check it out now, Your Majesty."

Song Ming immediately went out to check on the situation outside Duke Qin Ming's room.

All the guards who were on guard that morning also attacked Yang Fei with swords and spears. Meanwhile, Yang Fei continued to dodge and did not retaliate against the guards.

"Your Majesty, the bodyguards are attacking Yang Fei in front of your room. Surprisingly, Yang Fei did not reply to attack them. Yang Fei continued to avoid them," Song Ming reported to Duke Qin Ming.

A few minutes later, Yang Fei knew that he would run out of steam if he continued to dodge the attacks from the guards of Duke Qin Ming so he immediately ran to break into the room of Duke Qin Ming.

"Your Majesty, forgive us for being incompetent. He managed to escape our attack" said one of Duke Qin Ming's bodyguards kneeling on the floor.

"Resign," Duke Qin Ming said with a deep sigh.

"Okay, Your Majesty," the bodyguard replied as he saluted and stood up to immediately exit the room.

"Yang Fei, aren't you tired? Qin Jun just doesn't want to meet you, let alone me?" qin Ming asked in a cynical tone.

"Your Majesty, I have only come to hold His Majesty Qin Jun accountable for the words he said to me," Yang Fei said with a polite smile.

"You're so persistent. Were there any eyewitnesses when Qin Jun said that to you?" sahut Qin Ming was curious.

"Shen Tao was with us at that time, Your Majesty."

"Call Shen Tao here," Qin Ming commanded Song Ming.

"Okay, Your Majesty," Song Ming replied.

"Greetings, Your Highness," Shen Tao greeted as he saluted.

"What command is there for the Servant, Your Majesty?" asked Shen Tao curiously.

"Yang Fei said you were an eyewitness when he said that Qin Jun wanted to go along with him. Is that true?" qin Ming asked as he looked at Shen Tao with a cynical look.

"Right, Your Majesty," Shen Tao replied as he stared at the faces of Yang Fei and Duke Qin Ming in turn.

"Well, you can go now." Duke Qin Ming read his book again.

"All right, Your Majesty. I'm willing to withdraw" Shen Tao said, saluting. Then, he immediately walked out of the duke Qin Ming's room.

"You're an honest man. Unfortunately, honesty is useless in this place," Qin Ming said softly.

"I don't care if honesty is useful or not in your Palace, Your Majesty. It doesn't matter if you don't want to help me, but I will still bring His Highness Qin Jun away along with me," yang Fei said firmly reminding Duke Qin Ming who was staring intently at him at this moment.

"Funny, do you think that insisting on taking His Majesty Qin Jun away from Fu Jian Palace does not require the approval of Duke Qin Ming?" song Ming asked with a soft laugh. Yang Fei paid no heed to Song Ming's words just now.

"I'm done talking. I'm permission to withdraw. Thank you, Duke Qin Ming," Yang Fei said as he saluted and smiled politely.

"Why thank me?" qin Ming asked curiously.

"Because you want to spend a little time talking to me." Yang Fei smiled and immediately walked out of the room.

"That's right," Duke Qin Ming said as he snorted in annoyance.
