Legend of the Flute Swordsman

Legend of the Flute Swordsman
Qin Ming's Concerns

Morning at Fu Jian Palace

"Call Song Ming here," commanded Qin Ming, the Father. At that instant, Song Ming who was standing guard outside the door immediately entered into the Palace.

"Greetings, Your Grace. What orders?" ask the father's personal bodyguard, Song Ming.

"Try investigating Su Jiang's state, is he really seriously injured right now?" sahut Qin Ming was curious.

"Okay, Your Majesty." Song Ming saluted and prepared to depart for Yu Qing Palace, the residence palace of Duke Qin and Su Jiang.

"Remember, do it carefully. Don't make a mistake" Qin said, reminding his men.

"Son understood, Your Majesty. Servant will definitely not disappoint you," Song Ming said as he nodded his head in a sign that he already understood what he should do.

Su Jiang's Room, Yu Qing Palace

"Su Jiang, you must recover quickly. The Princess of the Western Kingdom needs your help. And I, I need you as my true swordsman. In the past, I always thought I could do everything on my own, without any help from anyone. Now I know I was wrong. So, just get well and get up, okay?" qin Yang asked as he held Su Jiang's hands together and stuck them onto his forehead.

"Baginda, what's wrong? Why are you crying? Have I made another mistake?" asked Su Jiang in confusion. Duke Qin shook his head as he shed his tears in shock.

"You're conscious. Are you feeling well?" sahut Duke Qin while smiling softly.

"Baginda, what's going on? Why does my head hurt so much and I can't remember what happened last night?" Su Jiang was trying to recall what he had experienced last night.

"Yesterday night a mysterious man in black veiled came charging into my room. You're standing guard over there. When that man barged into my room through the window, you immediately fought against him. His inner power is so strong that you can't beat him. The man stabbed you in the stomach with a poisoned needle. I've already told the guards to find out about that poisonous needle," the Duke of Qin replied with a long sigh.

"Then, what about you? Are you hurt, Sire?" su Jiang was worried.

"No, I'm not hurt. You protected me very well."

Su Jiang smiled hearing that.

"Don't worry about me, worry about yourself. Rest until you really feel better" the Duke of Qin said with a smile.

"So, may I ask you to make me a Five-Sense Soup?" su Jiang asked in a pleading tone.

"Well, I'm going to the kitchen right now." The Duke of Qin immediately headed to the kitchen and made a Five-Sense Soup for his swordsman.

The day at Fu Jian Palace

"Qin Yang made Su Jiang a Five-Sense Soup? Is he crazy? A swordsman should be governed by the King, not the other way around!" qin Ming exclaimed his emotions.

"Your Majesty, please calm down first," said Song Ming who immediately knelt down and was followed by all of Qin Ming's men who also immediately kneeled to his enraged master.

"Huh! How embarrassing! He had already fallen in love with his swordsman who was not strong enough to protect him as Emperor. Su Jiang was simply not worthy of being his life partner!" qin Ming shouted with his face reddened in annoyance.

"What's up, Dad? Why are you so upset?" qin Jun asked, the youngest son of Qin Ming who had just returned after practicing the sword outside Fu Jian Palace.

"Your brother is in love with Su Jiang, how could Father not be upset?" sergeant Qin Ming slowly pressed down.

"You're still so bad at thinking. If they marry, Su Jiang will become Empress and our throne will slowly be dethroned if she can give birth to a son for Qin Yang."

"But if Su Jiang cannot have a son, then I will be the next King" Qin Jun reminded.

"You're right too, but what if Su Jiang can conceive and bear a son?" sahut Qin Ming while looking into Qin Jun's eyes with a serious look.

"It doesn't matter either, I have a way to deal with it." Qin Jun smiled cunningly while whispering something into his father's ear.

"Good, you're a good son of mine. Just run according to your plan," Qin Ming praised as he patted his son's shoulder.

"Good, Dad. Qin Jun would immediately execute his plan carefully. I guarantee that this time everything will go well" Qin Jun said as he saluted his father.

Afternoon at Yu Qing Palace

"Baginda, His Highness Qin Jun is asking to meet you at the horse field right now," reported one of the Duke of Qin's bodyguards.

"Well, take me there later" Duke Qin ordered as he prepared to change his clothes.

"Okay, Your Majesty."

The bodyguard immediately saluted and came out of the Palace to wait until Qin Yang finished changing his golden royal attire into a white one and took off his crown and wore an ordinary hat for riding. Then he led the king to the horse field.

"Baginda's arrived!" shouted one of the soldiers in the horse field area.

"Honor to Your Majesty!" everyone who was there kneeling greeted the presence of the Duke of Qin, including Qin Jun who was already preparing with his black clothes.

"Everyone stand up" Qin Yang ordered.

"Thank you, Sire."

They all stood up and went back to their duties.

"Sister, thank you for coming here. Have I disturbed Brother?" qin Jun asked as he raised both eyebrows.

"Jun, we are family. You asked me to come here, so of course I will come and accompany you to the horse race today," Qin Yang replied with a happy smile.

"Sister, what if we bet? If I win, I can do anything for you. But if you win, you can do anything to me. What say?" qin Jun asked.

"Well, since you've been so fond of betting and playing with me since childhood then I'll bet with you today."

The dukes of Qin and Qin Jun immediately boarded the horses already prepared there and started a horse race between them.
