Tribute

Xiuhuan and Xiao Liu were now inside Tianwu city. The horse-drawn carriage carrying the Tributes for the Kingdom they brought continued to advance towards the Haitian palace.

The palace looked so majestic and was located exactly in the middle of Tianwu city. The palace was towering, no buildings around it were able to match it, except in the Northern part of the Haitian palace.

The Northern part of the Haitian palace was where the Heavenly Sword Sect, the largest and strongest Sect in the entire Han Kingdom was. The building of the Sect looked so majestic, rivaling the splendor of the Haitian Palace.

"Well .. magnificent!" Xiao Liu was amazed by the splendor of the Haitian Palace.

"Cih, what a magnificent thing, but the people alone can not be taken care of. There should be no kingdom. He knew he only accepted the Tribute every year, but the little people were left oppressed by corrupt officials and clans who acted as little kings." Xiuhuan even pulled out his tits.

"Hey, stupid don't talk too hard! You want us beheaded here." Xiao Liu was frightened by Xiuhuan's words.

"He only gave me a small salary, but the task given by Tang Yin's shackles was heavy. Later, I will have to ask for double the wages again when we return to Hua City." Xiuhuan chatted, he was confused as to how to find information on which judge would be assigned to investigate the case.

Xiuhuan handed over his duty letter to the Guard. Then the guard saw the contents of his letter which turned out to deliver tribute.

"Follow me!" said the Guard led them to the Treasurer Pavilion in charge of receiving tribute from these sects in the Han kingdom.

They then arrived at the Treasurer Pavilion. It looked like a fat man surrounded by five beautiful women was relaxing. He was engrossed in eating the fruit that the beautiful women fed.

"Mr Jiu Yuan! The envoy from the Blue Lotus Sect came carrying the Tribute!" The gatekeeper reported.

Jiu Yuan waved his hand, while glancing at Xiao Liu. He was captivated to see the beauty of the girl.

"Just be jealous!" xiuhuan whispered softly into Xiao Liu's ear.

Xiuhuan simply smiled wryly and saluted the Royal treasurer.

"Where are your papers?" Jiu Yuan stood up from his seat. The beautiful woman around him took a few steps back from him.

The gatekeeper then went forward giving out their duty letter.

"It turns out it's just a small sect" Jiu Yuan said softly. "Move everything into the warehouse!" Jiu Yuan told his sons to bring the horse carriage into the barn.

Xiuhuan and Xiao Liu remained silent. Jiu Yuan smiled at them and let them sit down. Xiuhuan and Xiao Liu then sat down.

Jiu Yuan walked slowly and approached Xiao Liu. He held the shoulder of the beautiful girl. Xiao Liu looked uneasy, but did not dare to act. Afraid that they would be punished for fighting the Kingdom officials.

"Hey pretty girl .. Will you be my concubine!" he said as he fumbled at Xiao Liu's shoulder.

Xiuhuan also appeared to be uncomfortable with Jiu Yuan's behavior. "Sorry your master is late, he is already engaged to the Yin Clan's Son from Yan Luo city."

Jiu Yuan stopped when he heard the name of the Heavenly Sword Sect. He stared at Xiuhuan.

Xiuhuan casually took out an invitation letter from the Heavenly Sword Sect. He gave the letter to Jiu Yuan.

Xiao Liu seemed to be breathing deeply. She was grateful, Xiuhuan saved her for the second time, having previously been saved from Yin Song while in Yan Luo city.

Some clear water droplets dripped from his eyelids, he then rubbed them because he did not want to look weak. For he believed that Jiu Yuan would become even more so if he were weak.
