Laila Bodyguard Surveyed

Laila Bodyguard Surveyed
36. Stop being a bodyguard

Arga looks worried about Laila's current condition, he is worried that being a bodyguard will put Laila in danger.

Rifki arrives at Arga's ward.

"I've heard everything from Ms. Ranti" Rifki said as she sat next to Arga.

"Wherever the danger came from, fortunately my wounds were not severe,"

"But..why are you doing this, why are you willing to sacrifice your life for her?" ask Rifki who felt jealous when she found out that Arga sacrificed her life for Laila.

"It seems you know the answer without me having to explain at length, just one possible reason a man puts his life on a woman" Arga explained.

Rifki immediately understood the meaning of Arga's words. "But you know that I liked Laila from the beginning, why didn't you tell me from the beginning if you liked her too" Rifki said, staring at Arga.

"I do love him, but I'm not saying that I have him, so don't blame my feelings, I'm free to love anyone" Arga said.

Suddenly Rifki remembered the bitter moment when Laila rejected him. "Laila has rejected me outright, if you want to fight, go ahead, but if you hurt her, I will punish you,"

Arga smiled cynically, "Jeez who are you, who are you," he said as if mocking Arga.

"I'm serious Ga, don't hurt Laila, actually I want to be angry, but since you love Laila, I'll try to believe that you can make her happy" Rifki said.

"Yes.iya.but I also don't know where to start to get Laila, I plan to propose to her directly,"

"That's a good plan" Rifki said.

...----------------...

Rifki came out of Arga's room, she passed Laila who was about to enter the room.

Laila felt bad for Rifki after rejecting her.

"Laila.." call Rifki.

"Not to think about yesterday, don't be awkward with me, behave as usual, we stay friends, right,"

Laila smiled, "Yes" he said. Now Laila feels better to face Rifki without guilt.

Laila enters Arga's ward.

Laila looked down at him, as if she was still haunted by guilt.

"Stop being my bodyguard, you have to live quietly" Arga looked at Laila sitting on the sofa.

Laila lifted her head, looked at Arga with teary eyes, as if she felt pain in her heart hearing Arga's words.

"Is it because I made a mistake?"

"But I'm afraid you'll be in danger if you work with me" Arga said.

"But I want to stay by your side, I want to take care of you, I want to make up for your sacrifice" Laila said as her eyes glazed over.

"It's too dangerous!" firmly Arga.

Laila also felt a deep pain, for some reason she felt that Arga did not need it, while in her heart she was getting carried away with Arga.

Arga actually could not bear to see Laila who looked sad with her words. But this is the best decision according to Arga. Because after Laila stops working, she will make Laila his wife, so that Laila is always on Arga's side.

Laila wiped away her tears, and confirmed that she would stop.

"Well, if this is your request, I will stop being your bodyguard, I apologize for all my mistakes during this time, Assalamualaikum," said Laila, then he stood up and hurried to leave the room. Laila walked over with tears that endlessly wet her veil.

"I think it's the best, she's getting married, there's no way I'm still by her side, I'd rather quit than later be stamped as a leech attached to people's husbands," laila's mind along her steps.

"I fired him ma!"

"Why? is it because of this? Laila is not wrong Arga, she has sacrificed a lot for us" said Ms. Ranti.

"It's not that ma, but. I fired her because after this I'm going to make her my wife, do you agree?

Mama gaped at Arga's words, "Are you serious?"

"Do I look joking ma"

Of course, Bu Ranti will not hinder her son's intentions, because according to Bu Ranti, Laila is the right woman for her son.

"Actually that was what you wanted from the beginning, but you waited until you really loved the girl, and sure enough, now you have loved her," explained Ms. Ranti.

"Alhamdulillah, when are we going to Laila ma's house?"

"Jeez this boy.think about the wound on your stomach, just thought about the proposal," said the mother pinching Arga's ear.

Suddenly Papa Rendra entered the room, "My son.Who else dares to hurt you, quickly say, let papa who immediately intervened," said Rendra sir who barged in.

"The old man came at an inopportune moment, when my mood was in turmoil" Bu Ranti grumbled inwardly.

"I also don't know pa, if I know for sure I've caught the guy," said Arga.

"What did the doctor say, son? your injuries aren't severe, are they?" ask Mr. Rendra.

"Yes, the wound's been sewn, and it's not bad, either,"

"Thank God, then,"

Mr. Rendra looked at Bu Ranti who was sitting on the sofa while throwing his gaze from Mr. Rendra.

"Ranti.don't be sad, we will both take care of our son," said Mr. Rendra.

Ms. Ranti did not answer Rendra's words.

"Arga, tell your papa to go, mama wants to rest," tell mama to look at Arga.

Arga was just silent, because papa had heard without having to affirm again.

"What do I do to make you forgive me, Ranti?"

"Deliver you from the earth" said Bu Ranti briefly.

"Well, I'm going to get out of this room, I'm going to find a ticket to another planet" said Mr. Rendra, who looked lethargic. He also left the room.

...----------------...

A gray night, black clouds covered the moon, drizzling down the window panes of Laila's room.

He stood leaning against the windowpanes, staring at the silent-looking outside atmosphere.

Now his heart is broken. Laila was confused as to why her heart was this sick. Even this hurts more than when Haris married another woman.

Quitting work is like breaking up with Arga, as he can no longer meet Arga without a reason to work.

Tears were relentlessly dripping down her cheeks, "Why this sick, yes, I'm just her bodyguard, no one, I should be happy if she's married, this is what I wanted from the beginning," inner Laila.

"I should have told you from the beginning that I was the initials L, but I can't blame my old self, it's the wrong love that comes too late, if I told Arga, I said, maybe now I have become his wife" Laila said as she stared at Linda's letter.
