“Mas! What the fuck are you?!”
Ayline squealed in confusion. According to him, the most entitled to anger here is himself. Not angry that Oswald, her own husband had just kicked her out. But he was angry because in fact he was the one who knew the least in the room.
Not knowing exactly when her husband had an accident, not knowing how it could happen, not knowing her husband's current condition, not even knowing the reason why he became someone guilty here.
Unfairly, that was what Ayline thought. “Are you angry and kicked me out because I came late?” After asking like that, Ayline turned her face to Denis. He stared intently at the man's assistant who was standing not far from his two in-laws and the one Ayline thought was a doctor.
If it's true that I was expelled, then you must take responsibility. Not you, but you! Ayline's defense in his heart. According to him, it was not his fault that he arrived late, he had just been notified this morning. Therefore also Ayline thought that he should be the one who should be angry here, not him who was scolded even being expelled like this.
Oswald shook his head and looked at Ayline. “I didn't even expect you to come, Ayline,” he said flatly.
Hearing that Ayline's tears had spilled already. Her husband had just successfully stuck a dagger into her heart. Oswald was in an accident but it felt like Ayline was finding it hard to breathe. The husband who a few days ago was still very kind to her, changed instantly just because of an accident. Her husband didn't expect it anymore, was there anything sad besides that? Think Ayline.
“Ta-but why, Mas? What am I wrong?” ayline asked for an explanation in between her sobs.
“I've told you all for your own good. Go away, leave me. Don't waste your time with a disabled man like me,” Oswald said.
The two sets of husband and wife looked at each other. Maybe other people didn't see her, but Ayline could see if there were tears in her husband's eyes.
“Ca-cat?” Repeat Ayline with a clean slit. Oswald nodded weakly. Highlight his eyes looked down, fixed on his two legs wrapped in bandages.
“What does that mean, Mom? What the hell's been going on? I deserve to know, Mom. I am still your legal wife, you have to explain everything to me,” urged Ayline.
“Sorry Madam, can we talk outside?” Sela the doctor who has been a spectator since.
Ayline shook her head, “No, if you want to talk say here.”
“Ta-but, Madam-“ the Doctor finally relented when he saw Oswald who gave the code with a nod of the head.
“Alright, Mistress. Sorry ... because of the accident that befell him, Mr. Oswald suffered paralysis in both legs. But calm down, although small but the possibility that Mr. Oswald can walk back is there,” he explained.
Ayline nodded after understanding the doctor's explanation. Strangely, I don't know why he felt calmer. The pain in her heart was not that her perfect husband was now threatened with becoming a disabled man. However, her heart ache was more because she felt her husband underestimated her. Is that shortsighted Mas Oswald graded me?
Unlike Mommy Raya who returned to tears in a fold of Daddy Jay. Ayline even seemed to wipe the tears that had soaked both of her clear netra.
“For that reason you asked me to leave, Mas?” ask Ayline.
“All for your own good. You are young, do not hang with a disabled man like me,” replied Oswald flatly.
“Their song is that small in your eyes, Mas. I'm very disappointed in you, Mas.”
“Ayline, what the fuck are you! Why do you even blame your husband who is lying weak so?!” Mommy Raya reprimanded Ayline.
“Mommy .. Mommy should have also reprimanded Mas Oswald. Didn't Mommy hear earlier, Mas Oswald kicked me out just because now his legs are paralyzed,” Ayline denied.
“That's for your own good, Ayline. You can still get better than a disabled man like me,”, Oswald said.
“I don't care!” peekkik Aylines. “Stop saying that, Mas! I'm not that cute.”
“I'm not leaving. I'm not leaving you!”
“But-“
Oswald still wanted to refute Ayline's words, but his lips were immediately silenced by Ayline's lips. The woman hugged Oswald's body lying on the patient's bed after removing the link of their lips.
Ayline laid her head on the chest of her husband's field. “I will remain faithful to accompany you, Mas. No matter what, I won't leave you. Don't tell me to leave, Mas,” pinta Ayline.
Oswald's tears have broken. Slowly, one hand gently rubbed his wife's head and returned the snag of the wife. The sight caused an incredible feeling in the hearts of everyone in the room who was a spectator.
“Alright, alright. Thank you, Darling.”
...…...
A week has passed, Oswald's health condition has been much better. All that can not be separated from the role of Ayline who takes care of her husband very well and full of patience. The man looked as healthy and shining as ever, despite his still unstable emotions as he still could not accept the fact that his legs were now paralyzed.
After undergoing the best treatment in the hospital today Oswald will return home. To the palace he made especially for his wife.
Ayline with a sumringah face helped her husband prepare. He helped Oswald get dressed. Although at first he felt difficulty but a little bit he was getting used to it.
“Why are you that happy?” ask Oswald.
“Of course I'm happy. Today we can finally go back home,” Ayline replied. Her hands nimbly put up one by one the buttons of her husband's shirt. Don't forget she ended up with a kiss on her husband's lips. A kiss that her husband never replied to.
“Nothing has changed even if we return home. I still can't walk and will just sit helplessly in that si*lan wheelchair!”
“Ck.” Ayline clucked and then shook her head. “You are wrong, Mas.”
Oswald frowned when he saw Ayline very confidently refuting his words.
“At home, we can do a lot of things that we can't do in this room,” said Ayline as she rolled her one eye teasing her husband.
Even so, she seemed brave and confident when she teased her husband, but actually in her heart she felt very embarrassed. Ayline even deliberately pretended to be busy looking for something in the nightstand drawer next to the patient's bed, so that his blushing face could not be seen by Oswald.
“What do you think, Ayline?” ask Oswlad. “Do you forget that I am no longer the old Oswald. I'm just a disabled man!”
Ayline let out her breath. Oswald again lamented his present condition. For a week, the man kept complaining about his condition. Ayline could only continue to be patient in the face of her husband's attitude. Ayline promises inwardly to help her husband come to terms with the situation even though it will be difficult.
“You are still my husband, no matter how you are you are my husband. Nothing has changed,” stressed Ayline.
“Terup to you only. I've warned you, so don't be disappointed,” remembers Oswald to his wife who he thinks is stubborn.
Ayline nodded steadily. “We can prove it later tonight. Hows it? You agree?”
