Ignoring the sound from her stomach that asked to be filled, Ayline returned to the room. Two hours of waiting alone at the dining table, was enough to make him look miserable in the eyes of the servants.
Not wanting to be outdone by despair, Ayline again tried to contact her husband. It felt like he was sick and wanted to vomit when again the voice of the mobile network operator who answered his call.
“Oswald Pallas!!” snarl.
“You could!” The clear liquid returned glistening from both of its neutrals and moistened Ayline's cheeks. Now he could no longer resist crying. She was confused as to why she felt like her husband had deceived her.
Tok ... tok ….
The butler, Mbok Mar, was seen carefully entering the room. That's very sad, madam.
Look at the pity of a woman who has not been her employer for a month. Not even a day had they served the new Madam in the Pallas Family, yet, it felt like she could already see how the fate of her Master's marriage was.
Mbok Mar sat on the floor with a thick carpet, right next to Ayline. He rubbed gently from head to shoulder of his master. It was sad to see a beautiful woman sitting folding her legs and burrowing her face between her knees.
“Sorry if I am presumptuous, Mistress,” said Mbok Mar softly. “Please, try to be patient and understand.”
“A-what do I understand, Mbok?” Ayline re-strapped her head. He spoke without looking at Mbok Mar.
“Do I have to understand when my husband I haven't been able to contact since I opened my eyes? Or should I understand, actually this is the true figure of my husband?”
Mbok Mar took a long breath. He racked his brain, thinking of what answers might calm his mistress.
“Think positive, Mistress. I see, maybe it's hard because it's your first day back home. But, understand the magnitude of the responsibility assumed by Mr. Oswald,” explained Mbok Mar. He observed Ayline's reaction and it seemed as if his Madam was weighing her words.
“As long as I serve Mr. Oswald, I rarely see him on long vacations. The first time was when you went on your honeymoon. I'm sure the work is piling up and Mr. Oswald is working on getting it done,”.
Ayline laughed but there was no happy look on her face. “Thank you, Mbok. I know you said this all out of concern for me and wanted to comfort me.”
“As you said, I will try to understand. So, please leave me, Mbok. I need time alone thinking about this.”
”I'll try to make myself understand,”.
Mbok Mar smiled. He held one of his master's hands with both of his hands. “I believe you can understand. I believe you are able to get through this all.”
Mbok Mar stood up then slowly walked out towards the door. He had opened the door and was about to get out, but his steps stopped and he turned to his mistress again.
“All the maids are very worried about you, Madam. Seeing you moody, skipping dinner, made all the servants feel sad. To be honest, we are all very happy to have such a carefree employer like you,” Mbok Mar said before exiting the main room and closing the door again.
...…...
His face looks wrinkled. It was obvious that the man who had just got out of his car was very tired. Ten days of vacation, honeymoon with his beloved wife. Making this world belong only to two with his wife and others just contract.
Apparently all that left a pile of work on his desk. Coupled with the schedule of meetings that had to be postponed. Everything seemed to want to swallow him today. He even forgot to have lunch and dinner just because of his job.
But for men like Oswald Pallas, successful young entrepreneurs carrying the name Pallas Group are increasingly skyrocketing in the business world in this Country. Working like a horse like that is not taboo.
Oswald, and his workaholic habits, almost drove his family crazy for fear that the only successor to the Pallas family could be a bachelor for life. Luckily, the matchmaking effort with Ayline was successful.
Aylines? Inner Oswald. The name of the woman who had become his wife was ringed when he realized where he was now. A different house. No longer the magnificent palace of the Pallas family. Where Mommy, Daddy, and Grandma live. In front of him was his own palace. The palace where he made Ayline his queen.
“Tuan ... Mr. ..!”
Denis's call left Oswald aghast. Seeing his boss standing in front of his door, it made Oswald's assistant trust was worried.
What if there is a new job that he remembers. He's not going crazy right, asking to go back to the company after he just got home.
“Hem, what's up?”
Denis's forehead frowned. Should I ask what is it?! Bizarrely.
“I would also like to ask you the same question, Sir. What was? Why stand here and not log in?”
Oswald looked at Denis in annoyance. “You think after marriage I have the power to break through doors, huh?”
“Once you open the door!”
Denis finally realized. Right too, he thought. If, at the Pallas house, at any time Oswald came home from work, Denis simply sent a message to one of the servants. So the servant will be faithful to wait until Oswald arrives and he will welcome his Master.
“Sorry, sorry, Sir. It's my negligence. I haven't asked for the butler's phone number,” Denis regretted. As a result that night, with the help of the security on duty, Denis managed to open the door for his Master.
Inside the house, Oswlad had asked Denis to call the butler. He wanted to meet with her to make sure of Ayline's situation. Of course after he saw there were hundreds of Ayline phones that he ignored on his phone.
“Mbok Mar, how is he?” Oswald hung his words.
“My wife! How is he today? What's he doing?” he added after seeing the look of a confused face Mbok Mar.
“They are fine, Sir. He didn't do much at home. Excuse my sassiness and the other waitresses, but, this afternoon Madam forced us to have lunch together at the dinner table.”
Obviously if Mbok Mar now looks timid. Throughout his career as a servant of the Pallas family, never a single servant dared to eat with his master. Mbok Mar stole a look at Oswald. He wanted to guess the heart of his master.
“Oh, really?” Oswald seemed surprised to hear the story of Mbok Mar. This time he will let it go, maybe his wife wants to know people who will be devoted to them.
“For once, I'm sorry. But don't let it happen twice. You know, who is he? She's the lady of the house. Treat her like a queen, follow her wishes, but, don't cross your boundaries.”
It was not without reason that Oswald decided that. In his opinion, in addition to his diligence in working, what else makes him as successful as now? It's because of his decisiveness. Oswald knew how he had to treat all those who worked for him, in order to be obedient, disinclined, and honor him as a superior.
“Is there anything else? Maybe there's something my wife told you?”
Mbok Mar's head quickly shook. “Nothing, Mr.”
“After that lunch, Madam no longer talks to us. He spends his time in the room.”
Oswald nodded in understanding. Then, with one hand movement, Mbok Mar understood. He immediately lowered his head and withdrew from before his Master.
“You can go home Denis! Pick up tomorrow. I want to make amends to my wife today with breakfast together.”
