Kamila (The Patience of Breaking Boundaries)

Kamila (The Patience of Breaking Boundaries)
Kamila Persecuted

Raindrops adorned the scene outside Setya's bedroom window. After doing the work assigned by om Ilham, Setya never feel tired and sleepy. Meanwhile, the wall clock has shown at one in the morning. All day, Setya received no news from Kamila. And he, too, made no attempt to contact Kamila. Not because he was reluctant, but, his busyness from morning to afternoon, made him have no spare to contact Kamila.

Setya stared at the screen of his smartphone, then looked at the photo of Kamila, secretly photographed by him, with his cellphone camera.

Portrait of Kamila reading the book, displayed sweetly adorned the front screen of the young man's phone. Longing, then crying in his heart. If you do not remember the hours that are already very late, Setya would like to contact Kamila.

"Camila. Patience, darling. I will definitely look for the whereabouts of mother," she said as she stared at the image of Kamila herself. That night, Setya really could not close his eyes. His night was filled with night prayers, and prayed to the almighty, so that all his affairs would be facilitated.

---

The dawn had been rising, and it was slowly showing the rays of the sun to the morning sky that looked bright. Finished performing the prayer service, at the mosque which is not far from his contract, Setya prepared to leave for the campus.

After going through an internship, Setya now has to fight fully for the thesis he composed, in order to get good results as well.

Arriving at the Negri University area where he studied, Setya immediately put on his motorbike. There he meets Rizki. And they, then, walked together towards the classroom.

"Where, thesis? Aman?" Rizki starts a conversation with Setya, asking about their final assignment.

"Hmmm. God willing, Ki. Mind again in a rage. Hopefully everything is in accordance with what the lecturer wants, yes," said Setya, while massaging his temple. His head felt a little dizzy, because he did not sleep all night.

"That's your eye, looking really tired, Setya. You didn't sleep all night, did you?" Rizki seemed to notice the look on his best friend's face.

"Yes, here. My mind cannot be separated from the words of Mr. Jupri. How, if what he said was true, that Mrs Ratih is dead. What am I supposed to tell Kamila?" Setya told Rizki about what was troubling her mind, so she didn't fall asleep last night.

"Yes, there's a point, too. Kamila must have been devastated, hearing the news. But, Mr. Jupri was also not so sure, if Mrs Ratih died, right? Cause his body wasn't found." Rizki tries to convince Setya that there is still hope that Ratih's mom is still alive.

"Hopefully, yes, Ki. My little heart also felt, Mrs Ratih is still alive. Please help me find out the truth, yeah." Setya felt a little relieved at Rizki's words. And asked Rizki, to keep helping him in this search effort.

"Just calm. I always support you, really." Rizki patted Setya on the shoulder, and turned into their classroom.

----

Ting.

Setya's phone tinkled, indicating a message had entered his phone.

Camilla. The username he made, appears perched on the screen of his phone. Kamila sent a short message through the green app, to her.

[Assynoltomodel. Setya, how are you?] Kamila wrote in the short message.

Setya who had been wanting to contact Kamila since last night, widened her smile, while reading the message.

[Vaalaikumsalam, Chameleon. Thank God I am good. How're you? Nobody bothers you, right?] Setya replies to the girl. Half his heart, worried if Grandpa Parmin hurts Kamila again.

[No. I'm kind. Grandpa Parmin hasn't been home for two days. What about Mom's search? Have you found any clues about Mom's whereabouts?]

Kamila explained that she was fine. He seemed to want to know if his mother had been found, had not.

[It's good that your grandfather didn't come home. At least, I can relax, because no one will hurt you. About Mom, I'm trying, Kamila. I will continue to search for Mom's whereabouts at this time. You take it easy, yes, baby.] Reply Setya.

Although from afar, he did not miss the opportunity to tease the girl in a way, write a word of affection, and put a heart emoji at the end of the text of the short message. Which makes Kamila, seems a long time to reply to his message. It seemed, the beautiful-eyed girl, was blushing shyly reading a message from Setya.

[Thank you, 'cause you're going to take the trouble to find Mom, Setya. Take care of yourself, right there. Do not let, because busy looking for Mom, you ignore your health. I don't want to, something bad happened to you.]

Kamila finally replied to Setya's message. He reminded, that Setya also takes care of himself, and not just busy thinking about Kamila's mother.

[Your color, love me, don't you? Hehe.]

Setya who gasped read Kamila's message, again teased her.

Setya realized, that since he was busy looking for his mother Kamila, Setya became not necessarily his meal time. In fact, on the first day of the search yesterday, Setya did not eat all day, if not reminded by Rizki. His heart melted even more seeing Kamila's enormous attention to him.

Finding Setya's naughty writing, Kamila decides not to reply to Setya's message again. He just smiled to find the dear writing from Setya, for him.

Kamila and Grandma Sumi looked a little calm, in the past two days. Because, Grandpa Parmin did not come home since getting money from Setya. He didn't even show his nose around the village. I don't know where he went to spend that money.

The door of Sumi's nek house was heavily digedor from the outside. Hearing that, Grandma Sumi immediately called Kamila who was in the kitchen.

"Mil, look, who's coming, son?" Nek Sumi called Kamila.

"Yes, Grandma. Mila there," said Mila from the kitchen. Meanwhile, the door leaf was unceasingly pounded from outside. Kamila thought that it was Parmin's grandfather.

"Before a moment, Mother" he said from within, as he strode towards the door.

Creek.

The door rang, as Kamila's hand reached for the door handle. Only half a door opened, suddenly Kamila's hand was pulled roughly out of the house.

"Here you are, the girl has no father." The woman, who looked the same age as Kamila, said impolitely, and pulled Kamila from the house.

"How dare you, marry Setya. That you used to be. Little face, poorly educated, would dream of marrying the prince of my dreams. Not ashamed of fate, huh?" The girl spoke in a high tone, and constantly insulted Kamila.

"Calm down, Utari. W-what exactly do you mean?" Kamila looked so shocked, finding Utari who was the daughter of Bu Rima, blasting her with very sharp words.

"Alright, pretend you don't know this, yeah. What's unclear about what I said, huh? How dare you marry Setya. How dare you take it from me. I deserve to be with her, not you, hick!" Utari just kept berating Kamila.

The woman with a tall body, blonde, and always wearing clothes lacking the material, mocking the appearance of Kamila who he considered hick.

Despite coming from the same village as Kamila, Utari spent more time in the city, because she studied there. He went to the city after graduating from High School.

Since High School, Utari really likes Setya. Being in the same school, and being Setya's younger sister, Utari has long wanted to take Setya's heart.

However, Setya always ignored him. In fact, talking to him alone, Setya was reluctant. Setya's girlfriend, just Kamila. Setya has never been close to another girl, other than Kamila. Therefore, Utari hated Kamila a long time ago. Especially now, hearing the news that Setya will soon marry Kamila. His hatred for Kamila peaked, causing him to lose his mind, and he crashed into Kamila.

"Come, sit. Speak well. So that I understand what the real problem is. Don't be like this, Utari. Come, comein. I'll make you a drink." Kamila softly, asked Utari to relax, and sat down with her to speak carefully. He even wanted to serve the drink to the woman who had pulled her hand so hard that it hurt.

"Don't say much about you, village girl!" Without aba, Utari scratched Kamila's face with her long nails. So it scratches Kamila's face with scratches. The wound also appeared to emit a hint of red droplets. Although it did not bleed much, however, the scratch wound was very painful on Kamila's face.

"wwwS. Nirvana, Utari. What are you doing?" Kamila grimaced in pain, holding her cheek that had been scratched from Utari's fingernails.

"Pake nanya, again. Feel this!" In the end, Utari again approached Kamila, then pulled Kamila's hijab back, so that it was almost open.

"Please, no, Utari. Please let me go." Kamila tried to release herself from Utari's grip, while holding her headscarf so as not to be released. However, Utari's grip so strong on his head, making Kamila powerless to escape.

"Hey! Stop that!" yelling Bu Indri from the direction of the road that looks quiet, because some residents must be working in the rice fields, and other activities in the morning before noon.

Bu Indri tried to stop the persecution carried out by Utari against Kamila. Ms. Indri who will indeed visit Kamila's house, then ran tergopoh towards the terrace, with a bushel containing food in her hand, which will be aimed at Kamila, and Grandma Sumi.

"What the hell is this. Unleash it. Stop the. Don't hurt Kamila anymore." After putting the bushel he brought to the terrace floor, Bu Indri released Utari's hand, from Kamila, and pushed Utari away from Kamila.

"Astaghfirullah, Son. You're hurt, son." Ms. Indri raised Kamila's face, and of course, the woman was surprised to see a scratch on the beautiful face of her future daughter-in-law.

"What's got into you, huh? Until you hurt Kamila. You're Miss Rima's son, aren't you? Behold, I will present this deed to your parents. Now, get out of here!" bu Indri stressed to the girl he knew as the son of Bu Rima, although he did not know what the name of the girl was.

Bu Indri pointed towards Utari. His blood boiled, seeing Kamila being hurt, right in front of his eyes. If he hadn't come to Kamila's house, I don't know what would've happened to that innocent girl. His grandmother, who was lying in the room, was also very anxious to hear the noise because of Utari's voice.

"Just wait for you, yes, village girl! Our business is not finished!" Utari stared intently at Kamila, and threw out a threatening sentence at her. His eyes looked like a hungry lion. The girl who did not know the manners, stomped her one foot, and left Kamila's house.

---

"Oh my God, son. Come on, get inside. Mommy's gonna call Dad, and tell him to come over here, get your wounds treated." Ms. Indri leads Kamila whose hijab looks messy because it was snatched by Utari, to a wooden chair in Sumi's living room, and leads Kamila to sit down.

While waiting for the arrival of Mr. Wiguna, Ms. Indri prepared warm water in the kitchen of Sumi's house, and compressed Kamila's wounds using a clean cloth. Nek Sumi, who had been brought by Ms Indri from her room in a wheelchair, sat next to Kamila and held her grandson's hand.

"What happened, actually, Nduk. Who's been rude to you like this, Nduk." Nek Sumi asked Kamila. He did not expect that something like this would happen to his grandson. Because, as he knows, Kamila has no enemies.

"Congratulations, Grandma. Miss Rima's son. He suddenly pulled Kamila's hand, and clawed at Kamila's face. She said, Kamila took Setya from her. He gets angry after hearing news of Kamila and Setya's wedding, Nek." Kamila explained the demands of the incident to Sumi's grandmother, who made the old woman, again spoke in shock.

"Astaghfirullah's. How badly that kid hurt you, Nduk. Sorry, Miss Indri, did Setya ever have a special relationship with her son Rima?" Nek Sumi asked for clarity on Ms. Indri.

"Mom, as far as I know, Setya has never been close to any woman, except Kamila. Sumi knew for herself, no, what kind of young Setya was. In fact, if he comes home from the city once a week, he only meets Kamila." Ms. Indri who did not know, and knew very well how the nature of her only son, trying to explain the truth that he knew, on Nek Sumi, followed by a nod from the woman.
