JOBBING

JOBBING
[09] The Continuing Truth

The old book that I did not know where it came from, now I can finally understand the meaning of the writing. Although actually do not know the language of the world what it is.

The book also turned out to belong to someone who was the same name as me, trying to tell us how he could find the meaning of his own name and how he could meet with Joba.

And it was at this time that we were still staring at the old book intently because I was sure we had the same thoughts for now.

"This must be her Diary!" vlivy said as I paused the writing I had translated. While I just nodded slowly replying to his speech.

"Hm... And I didn't hear wrong, did I, if Joba said thanks? Does that mean Joba can talk?" he continued again now pointing his chin with his index finger. While both of his eyebrows rose upwards showing that he was very curious about it.

When I was about to explain to him, Joba suddenly shot forward in front of the two of us.

"Yes right! And I can also float!"

"Oh!! For whatever it is, today is not a dream, is it?!" vlivy shouted now his eyes were rounded and his hands were silencing his own mouth with both hands.

Her reaction was almost the same as mine when she first found out the real Joba. The only difference is that I fainted and even fell asleep.

"So introduce, this is Joba who always pisses me off and I have to take care of it later in the day" I explained as I swung my hand towards Joba.

"Oh hello to Joba!" he said it now with a more cheerful voice.

"Yes, I also know Vlivy. I salute you, for you are not surprised to see me. Unlike Avlein, he even had time to sleep–

"Hey Joba you better shut up!" cut me off to take it but he avoided catching my hand. I forgot that he must have known..

"Hehe really? But of course like that, it felt like I also wanted to faint because of my heartbeat as fast as the train. I was really surprised to see an inanimate object can float by itself."

He paused his explanation for a moment then he asked back.

"But why didn't Joba tell me?"

Yeah, I thought, too, that he would question that. Just like me who wanted to know the truth of Joba since meeting him.

"Free, he won't explain to us all. That's what pissed me off about him," I obviously started to open the next page.

"Well, that's exactly what Avlein said, so I've taken her somewhere to learn the language of this book."

"Where to take it?" continued Vlivy who even wanted to discuss further other problems.

"Let's talk about it later, it's better to continue deciphering this book!" my sambar made him nod his head in agreement with my earlier exclamation. I also continued back.

At the moment I am 45 years old. While Joba, I was really amazed at him. Imagine how he was about 900 years old. I really didn't expect him to be alive again when I managed to fix it. 900 years ago, it must have been very different from today's stuff.

"Wait for Joba, you can tell us, right, she wrote this in what year?" I stopped the story for a while.

"Hm... If it's not wrong, it's around 1845."

"Oh my God. .. That's really awesome! It means you are now old...." Vlivy stopped saying that because he started counting the years he wanted to say. While I took the opportunity to continue deciphering the book.

At first I asked him that, he couldn't tell me. Because he said, he's been dead for a long time.

But he could look back and count all that. And finally he found out that he had been dead for about 150 years. The one new thing I came across, he could definitely go to the past as well.

Of course it makes me want to obey more about him, who and what he really is. Where did he come from, why did he speak, why did he die and hey come on 900 years ago, you must also want to know what was in those days.

But I can't ask you all about it, because Joba said I had to leave this place. Some want my life by force. And of course it adds one more fact, that Joba can also know the future and surely I will not reject his words.

And it turns out I found the blank sheet again. It feels right to just tear these old sheets. It is even better to throw it away or burn it.

"This time please explain to me as clearly as Joba!" I said in a high enough tone while forcibly closing the old book. Immediately threw a glance towards Joba but she still did not reply to my orders just now. He just floated in the air.

"Is this connected?!" my words again now calmed my emotions a little. And also concluded, maybe I should think about it first, only this old book issued its continuation.

"Hm. yeah like that. Just try to reopen the last page you saw."

Soon I followed his words. Re-opening onto the blank sheet I last saw. And immediately the letters of the language reappear one by one, then form a word.

"Hartford...? Isn't this in Connecticut. Does this mean I have to go there to continue writing this book?"

"Yup. like that...."

"Hey come on Joba, can't you just take me there? Like you did before, go into that world."

"For now not Avlein."

I was silent to hear that quick answer. I thought for a moment about what he just said. Maybe for now I should follow the path first.

And after that I'll get what I want. It's not a thing or what it is, but I want to know what's really going on with me. What is the purpose of all this, which has thwarted my life's goal of tranquility and peace. And why of all the humans that exist, should I be the one?

"Avlein?" vlivy's chirps in front of me woke me from the daydream.

"It looks like you have to prepare your stuff Avlein" Joba continued, moving higher into my room. Leaving us both in this room.

"So Avlein's gonna go and I'm living here alone?"

"You think you'll always come with me?!" my reply came back with a high tone slightly snapped at him, making him speechless and just lowering his head.

"Aakhs! Let me think for a moment!" I pulled my body up in annoyance and started going to my room.

I really need to rethink this.
