The coastal breeze brought a serenity in Alesha's heart after almost an hour she sobbed only because her heart felt so sick after hearing the truth that still could not be remembered by her memory.
Now Alesha and Jacob are sitting quietly on the shore. Both of Alesha's puffy eyes were staring straight at the expanse of ocean. As for Jacob, he hugged his wife's body, letting Alesha's head rest on his chest.
"It's quieter, baby?" Ask Jacob, gently.
Alesha just nodded slowly. He still refused to speak, his heart still felt so sore. Alshiba, and Khalid, the two babies who had passed away, and did not Alesha remember that now made a deep wound in Alesha's heart.
Alesha may not remember, but she felt such intense pain that she could not accept the fact that the two babies she did not recognize were dead.
"Jack," Call Alesha very slowly.
"Yes, what's up, baby?" Ask Jacob gently.
"Do you have a picture of that baby? I want to see it" replied Alesha as she carried her body out of Jacob's arms.
"There is, but I only have a picture of our daughter, I didn't have time to take a picture of our son, baby," Jacob pulled his phone out of his pants pocket.
"It's okay, I want to see what the baby looks like," Actually Alesha felt quite disappointed because Jacob had a photo of Alshiba only, and not with Khalid. How can Alesha remember her son's face?
"Here" Jacob showed a photograph of Alshiba sleeping in a baby basket.
Alesha was immediately stunned at the photo of Alshiba that Jacob showed. His gaze was slightly sparkling, a sense of happiness was slowly arising in his heart that was sad. Looking at the photo of Alshiba makes Alesha feel something else inside her, like a pull or a relationship that feels close, and familiar.
What kind of feeling is this?.... Alesha muttered in her heart.
The two Netra Alesha were completely fixated on the figure of the tiny sleeping baby. His heart was calm, but longing could not be timid. Why do I have to suddenly again? The longing seeped into Alesha's heart. Her thumb was now raised, gently stroking the screen as if she was actually caressing her daughter.
Slowly, Alesha began to wipe her daughter's face very carefully using the warm water in the bathtub. Then after that, Alesha wiped clean Alshiba's body, not to forget the liquid soap that Alesha rubbed on the body of the beautiful baby.
"Well!" Alesha's body jumped to cause a fairly tenuous distance with her husband.
I wiped the baby's face carefully using warm water? I soaped the baby's body?...... Alesha wondered in her mind.
"Alesha, what's wrong?" Jacob asked in a panic because he found his wife who was suddenly surprised by the look of a changed face as if he had just seen something surprising.
Is that an old memory that just came back?..... Alesha was still wondering with her own thoughts. Could it? But he remembered the incident, he was in the bathroom, kneeling with a baby that was exactly the photo of the baby Jacob showed. Then slowly he wiped the baby's body using liquid soap.
"Alsha, say something!" Jacob shook his wife's body.
"I remember it" said Alesha, shrieking. "I remember it" Alesha looked at Jacob. "I was making it, I wiped her body using soap, and warm water," Alesha lowered her head, both irises twitching in an indeterminate direction. "I... I remember that, Jack. That baby, Alshiba, I'm cleaning his body."
Alesha lifted her face, looking happily at her husband. "My idea is someone came back because of that photo. I managed to remember one incident, Jack!"
"Alshiba, I remember one incident about him!" Alesha exclaimed in excitement.
Jacob must be happy about it. One more memory Alesha back, and Jacob will make sure that little by little Alesha will regain her memories, and her old memories with their togetherness.
" I believe you can recall what your memory, Lil Ale, has forgotten" Jacob carried Alesha's body into his arms.
"I love you, Alesha, love you so much."
Cup...
The deg!
Alesha. His body choked after Jacob kissed his right cheek.
The hot air spread made Alesha could not dodge if now her face must have been red.
Mr Jacob, did you kiss me? Why would I like that? But I'm so ashamed now that you kissed me..... Alesha said in her heart.
"I love you, My Lil Ale," Jacob smiled lovingly at the woman of his tribe. "Your face is blushing, baby."
Alesha found Jacob chuckling as he looked towards her. Oh come on, Alesha's getting embarrassed, and the heat is getting in her body.
"It's a real worry" Jacob moved his teeth in an agitation. "Can I kiss you again, baby?"
Are you not my husband? Why do you have to ask permission? But ah, this guy, I still feel so foreign to him, but why do I even like his sweet attitude? I shouldn't be this close to the guy I just met three days ago...... Alesha said in her heart.
"Darling, don't daydream, Lil Ale," Jacob put his face close to his wife's.
"Eh, Master!" Reflexes, Alesha also rewinded her face, but her body was still held back by Jacob's two arms that were still wrapped around her slender waist.
"Don't be afraid, Lil Ale, I'm your husband. Remember that! I'm your husband, baby," Jacob said softly.
"But what if someone sees us?"
"No, Al, there's nothing that's going to bother us here, nor has there ever been anything that bothers us before when we both spend time together in this place, take it easy."
Did we really like to spend time together here?..... Alesha asked in her heart.
"Master, What...."
"Dear, don't call me that again, I'm not a stranger to you. I'm your husband, baby," Jacob cut.
"Emm, I mean, Jack," To be honest Alesha was comfortable with the call, it felt as good as she was used to, but somehow there was still a sense of awkwardness in her heart. "We used to be so close?"
Aish, what kind of question is that? Why could Alesha ask such a question? She was embarrassed to imagine her closeness to the foreign man who claimed to be her husband.
"Of course we're very close, even we're always together, baby. At night after you pray the prayer I always bring you here, we always pass the night we are both here while having a small talk" replied Jacob.
"Went the night we were both here?" Reload Alesha.
Jacob nodded. "Yes, I always invite you to enjoy the night here until half-ten because you like to look up at the night sky, Lil Ale."
"Eh, how do you know I like the view of the night sky?" Alesha scrunched her forehead.
Alesha slightly lowered her head, she was thinking of a question in her head.
"Emm, Jack, do you have any other evidence that I'm really your wife?" Ask Alesha, slowly.
"I have plenty of evidence. I have a lot of pictures of us together, I have pictures of our wedding, and look at this, don't you realize it, Alesha?" Jacob reactivates his phone and shows Alesha a photo of the wallpaper on the main screen.
Once again Alesha's forehead was confused because she found her face smiling brightly while hugging a bouquet of flowers made of flannel on the main screen of Jacob's phone.
"I don't remember I ever hugging a bouquet like that" Alesha shook her head, softly.
"That's the bouquet I bought when we got home from the hospital after checking your pregnancy. You were five months pregnant then, and you were mad at me because I forbade you to buy rye, and spicy pickles, so instead I bought you a chocolate-flavored martabak, and a bouquet of flowers," Jacob said interspersed with a small smile. He remembered the incident, when Alesha whined to buy rujak, and the hot pickle but he forbade it, and Alesha sulked, and got angry, although yes in the end Alesha cheerful back because she bought two boxes of chocolate martabak flavor, and a bouquet of flowers.
Funny that Jacob found as he recalled those moments.
"You know, Alesha, you're so spoiled when you're pregnant, especially if you've been asked to buy seblak, rujak, and pickles, you must always insist like a child. But I love it, and I really enjoyed the time when this sweet Princess whined to me so that her wish could be obeyed, you always asked me to stroke your distended stomach until you fell asleep," Jacob menoel squeaks the tip of his wife's nose. "I want to repeat that time again, baby. I want you to get pregnant with my son, and you're spoiling me again. I hope that desire can be realized soon."
I didn't listen wrong? This master is asking that I conceive his child as soon as possible? Getting pregnant? Soon enough?...... Alesha felt a little strange with Jacob's words just now. She felt like Jacob was asking her for a child. Oh my goodness, Alesha alone still has doubts if Jacob is her husband, and now the man is asking her to conceive her child instead?
"I want to have another child with you soon, and I will really take care of you nor will I ignore you, Lil Ale," Jacob gently stroked Alesha's cheek. He remembered his biggest mistake at that time that had ignored Alesha, and was busy with his work problems.
...*****...
After spending time by the beach for about two hours, Alesha, and Jacob returned to WOSA.
Alesha quite enjoyed her time with Jacob, although deep down Alesha still felt that Jacob was a stranger to her.
"J-Jack," Call Alesha, slow down. It's awkward to have to use that call.
"Hmm, what, honey?" Jacob replied, slightly bowing his body.
"Can we go back to the room now?" Alesha Pinta. His eyes began to feel heavy, he was sleepy, he was used to taking a nap because Rangga always told him to fall asleep during the day.
"Are you sleepy?" Jacob chuckled when he found his wife's face flat because it held back sleepiness.
"Hmm? B-how did you know?" Lirih Alesha's. His two eyes flickered faster as drowsiness grew more and more to his side.
"Hahaha, what don't I know about you, Lil Ale? How many years have we been together? Of course I memorized this expression," Jacob cupped his wife's face in a crunch. "Hmm, pity. Come on, let's go back to the room now."
Jacob and his wife walked into their room. Upon arrival, Alesha immediately took off the boots she was wearing and washed her feet, after which she laid her body on the mattress.
Alesha's new habit becomes one of the proof if Alesha is indeed changed. Previously Alesha rarely took a nap, but while staying with Rangga, Alesha was always told to fall asleep, and was forbidden to go anywhere during the day.
Rangga himself ordered it to Alesha because he had to go sell the crops to farmers at the border. Rangga just wanted to make sure that his adopted sister, Alesha was safe while he was out of the countryside.
Dret... Dret...
Jacob's phone vibrated with a sign of a message coming in. Soon Jacob activates his phone and finds out what messages are coming from.
"The ladder?" Jacob muttered
(Rangga: Jack, how's Alesha doing?)
Jacob began typing to reply to Rangga's message.
(Me : Alesha is fine.)
Rangga...
Jacob rolled his eyes with a puff. To be honest he was very lazy to reply to Rangga's message because he still felt hurt because Rangga separated him from Alesha, but how also Rangga did that to protect Alesha, so, yasudah, you've, what matters now is that Alesha has returned to him.
(Range : What is he doing now?)
(Me : Sleep.)
Meanwhile, Rangga, who is now in his apartment unit, in Bandung, sighed when he found out that Alesha was asleep during the day.
A thin smile expands on Rangga's face. The man remembered that he always ordered his beloved foster sister to fall asleep during the day.
"So big brother with you, Alesha," Rangga muttered while staring at the photo of Alesha who was smiling sweetly while sitting on a tree swing in the fields where Alesha used to play since moving to the countryside in the United States.
"When do we meet again?"
Rangga closed his eyes, imagined Alesha laughing, and joked with her. The two of them were indeed very close, not even rarely Rangga called the name 'Darling' to Alesha.
But Rangga realized, Alesha was married, and he could not destroy his sister's household. Rangga's job is to take care of Alesha, as his adoptive father, Professor Danu, has said.
"Father, Rangga apologizes because Rangga likes Alesha, Rangga is very affectionate with Alesha, but Rangga promises, Rangga will never take Alesha from her husband, from her husband, Rangga will keep Alesha as you wish."
The kindness of Professor Danu, and his adopted Umi made Rangga so reluctant, and always obedient to what was said or ordered.
Rangga is happy because he has foster parents who are always attentive, and give mercy to him as to his own biological children, especially Uminya who like never tired of giving all the teachings, and, and education at home. Gentleness, and patience Uminya in speaking words, and acting makes Rangga hope if later he can have a wife like Umi adopted him. But Rangga still does not know the reason his adoptive parents hid him from relatives, including Alesha.
So, the two adoptive parents bought Rangga a small house, or as big as a rented house in general. Indeed, at that time Rangga really felt that he was the luckiest person in the world, not to mention that in the house there was one bathroom, and one bedroom, kitchen, kitchen, and home, and the front room of course, there is also a mattress that can only be tilled by one person, but really the mattress feels very comfortable according to Rangga, plus pillows, soft bolsters, and so on, and a thick warm silk blanket, then there was a TV, not forgetting some cookware, and a meal. Rangga also will not forget the moment where the first time he was invited to one of the malls by Uminya. There Rangga bought four sets of clothes, school supplies, and other secondary needs.
"You don't feel sad anymore, you have new parents now. Think of us as your biological parents, don't hesitate to ask us if you need anything, okay."
The words of Uminya now revolve again in Rangga's mind. How many years have passed? Rangga missed the moment where he was, and his adoptive parents joked, and laughed together, especially since the presence of Alesha who was still a few months old. Rangga always invites Alesha to play, and talking, he really feels the warmth of the real family when his adoptive parents have brought Alesha little to his house.
"Geez, Al, Big Brother so bad if you used to bite your cheeks," Rangga chuckled to himself considering how beautiful his life was after meeting with the two biological parents Alesha. "You can't get it, Al. In the past when you were two years old Brother often care for you, Brother often take you to the playground not far from home. Didn't expect it, the road time is very tight, now the baby who likes foster brother is married, even already have children," Rangga touched the screen of his cell phone which now shows a photo of him hugging Alesha small in the swing of the park.
Sweet memories that Rangga will never forget, especially when he was joking with his parents while teasing or inviting Alesha little play.
"Dede Lesha, it's big right now," Rangga stroked her phone screen right on Alesha's face. "Dede embul beloved Brother."
