Bitter reality

"Wait a minute!" Kayrah stood in front of Kayron while looking at Jack with a deep longing.

"Kayrah?" Jack murmured with a softened look.

"Sister Jack, my brother misunderstood people. Let me apologize, because I'm sure my sister won't apologize so... Forgive my brother's mistake... Om... Ricard?"

"Let's sit down too" Ricard said with a smile.

Jack looked at Ricard speechlessly before sitting beside Ricard.

All the families sat back to their places.

"How are you, buddy?" Asked the Continent with a wide smile.

Jack glanced at the Continent briefly before saying, "I'm tired of that face"

The continent hit Jack's arm slowly, "How can you get bored? We just met in person after all this time. In fact this can be said to be our second meeting in person"

"And I'm also tired of that sound" Jack said flatly.

"Hey! You are so outrageous!" The continent pursed its lips in annoyance.

Jack laughed at the expression.

"Don't you say I'll have another brother? Where's my brother?" Asked the Continent while chirping to look for his brother whom he did not know.

"He's not coming"

"He wants to visit his parents"

The continent nodded in understanding then he looked at Ricard who was looking at Kayrah endlessly.

"You like Kayrah, don't you?" Ask the Continent slowly.

Jack nodded.

"It looks like you have a love rival" said the Continent while laughing softly.

"Who?" Jack asked while raising his eyebrows.

"Man who looks like you"

Suddenly, Jack turned his gaze to look at his papa who was still looking at Kayrah.

Keynan who knew it immediately pointed the knife he held in front of Ricard's face to make the victim surprised.

"I told you, don't look at my son like that!"

Ricard smiled awkwardly as he scratched his nape, "I miss your brother"

"He's my son, not my brother!" Keynan was upset.

The diva who had seen him finally raised her voice as well, "Dec, if Ricard were to be your son-in-law, would you bless him?" Tanya Diva teases.

"Relieve it!" Answer Keynan quickly.

Riana and Rangga chuckled, "Don't be so key, after all Ricard used to be your sister-in-law's candidate" said Rangga teasingly.

Ricard looked at Riana and Satrio who was beside Riana.

Now Satrio looks much more mature and his father's aura comes out as he holds his son.

"Ep... Papa, aren't we going to attend a family event?" Ask Jack carefully.

Ricard looked at Jack in confusion. "What do you mean, son? If this isn't a family event then what?"

"Eh? So then... This... My other brothers?" Jack did not believe it.

"Yes, why?" Ask Ricard in wonder.

Jack shook his head then looked at Kayrah who was also looking at him with teary eyes.

"No!" Kayrah stood up from her seat while putting her spoon on the plate. "Sister Jack is not my brother! I don't want to be Jack's brother!" Kayrah's rebuttal astonished everyone.

"Kayrah..." Jack looked at Kayrah with sadness. His heart also ached when he found out that he and Kayrah were brothers.

"No! I don't want to!" Kayrah shouted and ran out.

"Kayrah!" Jack stood up from his seat and followed Kayrah out.

All the extended families gawked because of this incident. They did not expect there would be a special relationship between Kayrah and Jack.

"It seems Keysha's love for Ricard was really sincere huh? Keysha still loves Ricard even in the next generation" said Sammy melted the atmosphere.

"Ricard also loved Keysha very much in our next generation. What an interesting story" Thalita said with a gentle smile.

Ricard only responded with a small smile.

However, Jack's face is very similar to Ricard's and Kayrah's face is also similar to Keysha's.

Ricard who thought that couldn't help but smile. Ricard stood up from his place and followed Jack and Kayrah who were outside.

Ricard did not want Jack to spend more time with Kayrah because Ricard was afraid that Jack would feel a great pain if the two men were together with a little longer.

Jack took a tired breath and walked over to his papa because he could not deny his papa's orders.

"Sister Jack..." Kayrah holding Jack's hand made Jack stop walking.

"Kayrah... Looks like you have to forget me" said Jack slowly as he took off Kayrah's hand.

Jack walked away from Kayrah after that, with Ricard, Jack walked towards the parking lot that was located quite far from the location where they stood.

"Sister Jack!" Kayrah's eyes looked at Jack who was moving away.

Kayrah's view became blurry when Jack and Ricard were nowhere to be seen.

Kayrah's chest tight. His heart beats faster than a normal person. Suddenly blood came out of his nose and then slowly Kayrah's body fell.

"Sister!"

Kayron quickly caught her brother's body. Keynan and his wife examined their son with trembling hands.

After checking and knowing the symptoms, Keynan and his wife looked at each other in disbelief.

"It's impossible!" Shouted Keynan frustrated.

Jack came home without knowing what problems Kayrah was facing. After a long journey, Jack and Ricard finally get home.

Their house is deserted because God sleeps in his own house tonight. After arriving, Ricard also went straight into the room without speaking.

Finally Jack could only contemplate all these events in his room.

Thinking of the harsh reality that slapped him so hard made Jack could only throw his hand tightly.

"It turns out Kayrah's father and my mother were cousins" Jack let out a long sigh and said very softly. "Me and Kayrah... Have blood of the same great-grandfather"

That lonely night, for the first time in a long time, Jack shed tears. In the darkness of the night, Jack cried in silence, enduring the pain he felt alone.
