Indigo Story: Half the Way

Brian POV•

I kept staring at my phone, trying to wait if Anya would call me back.

The clock was showing right at midnight, still no phone call from him. I just threw my phone, luckily my phone fell on the bed.

I lay my body on the bed, my mind told me that maybe he was sleeping.

But for some reason I felt he was not okay, I let out a long sigh. I want to rest my eyes, body and brain after a very tiring day. Unfortunately it can't be because it keeps thinking about the girl, even though she's very annoying.

I couldn't stand by, so I got up and picked up my jacket in the closet. I took my phone and motorcycle keys, and rushed out of the room. When I opened the door, I was shocked to see who was in front of me.

"Aunt Kerryn?" I saw Aunt Ketryn from top to bottom, she still looks young and beautiful despite being a widow.

"Brian goes where the nights are" asked Aunt Ketryn. I looked left and right and I didn't see my mom.

"You're looking for your mama yes" Aunt Ketryn asked. I just gave a small nod, he smiled then took his phone and showed me something.

I read my last mama's message, mama asked Aunt Ketryn to take care of me as long as she had a job in another city.

I sighed again, if my aunt took care of me she would not let me out of the house.

"You better sleep, you go to school tomorrow. And auntie heard you just finished the tournament, if you go out then tomorrow you'll be sick" Aunt Ketryn raised her voice.

I went back into the room lazily, and immediately laid my body on the bed.

Maybe it's better I close my eyes forcibly, while listening to a song using the handset.

And I finally fell asleep, even though I was uncomfortable. My dream was dark again with no light at all, luckily I was used to it.

The next morning my body felt very sick, Aunt Ketryn who examined me this morning immediately called the doctor.

Although he was firm but his heart was very soft. Since childhood when I was injured he would be busy doing treatment so that I was comfortable and quickly healed.

I closed my eyes to rest, and suddenly Anya's shadow crossed my mind. His face was very sad, he was in pain and seemed to be asking for help.

I woke up and took my cell phone. It is still at 8, fortunately Reno brought a cellphone because he will go home early for the second game. I hope my guess is true.

I immediately called Reno, my guess was correct. He picked up his phone.

"Brian, the cave heard Lo was sick again. Hope you heal quickly"

"Yes, thank you very much, uh Reno cave for help" I narrowed my voice.

"What's wrong with my best friend on this one"

"Please go to Anya's class, if you need to make her call with me"

"Back, santuy. Cave get there now". Phone's turned off. I kept quiet, just to think about Anya.

5 Minutes later, a call came in from Reno. Without having to linger, I immediately picked it up.

I heard a voice like nervousness, "Where's Anya?" I asked with a slight raise of my voice.

"It's me Adit" I was shocked when I heard Adit's voice.

"Why do you answer, where is Anya!!" I started raising my voice.

"We'll talk about it after I get home from school, I'll go straight to your house" after saying that, Adit instantly turned off his phone.

I let out a heavy sigh, why did he say that. What's the matter.

On the other hand, Anya had just come to her senses. He was in a narrow room with his hands and feet tied.

The door of the room opened, Anya opened her eyes wide.

"You are" the man smiled. "It's free to yell, or do something. No one will hear you".

The man approached, he looked directly at Anya. "After I thought, you're pretty" Anya stared intently at him.

The man directly pressed on Anya's neck, making Anya in pain. "I don't like hurting women, so how about we play around with just you and me".

The door opened quickly, someone standing with a flat gaze. I feel like I've seen that guy.

"The sister in the room next to the woman felt pain in her stomach, it seemed like the poison to abort her womb had already succeeded" Anya was shocked when she heard the man's words.

"Ah then, take care of this woman. I'm gonna kill him real quick. So that I would focus more on this woman" The man let go of his grasp.

He immediately stood up and walked past the man before him. After the man left, the man before him approached Anya.

He sat down in front of her, and immediately held onto Anya's face.

Anya was silent now she felt something. Anya closed her eyes, she imagined the face of Hendra and a woman and also a man in a picture frame with the best Friend forever reading.

He also saw the man standing in front of the body of the woman in the photo, he continued to say "forgive me a jinger".

Anya opened her eyes again, she looked at the man flatly.

"Friend forever with Hendra and Jinger, aren't you friends why you are" Anya began to raise her voice.

The man was surprised. "How do you know?". Anya still did not answer.

The man lowered his head, "My name is Dava, we are friends. But ever since I found out that Hendra and Jinger are dating. I was afraid that they would forget me" Dava suddenly revealed everything.

Anya was speechless, she immediately approached herself towards Deva. "Dava is your name, I'm sure Hendra won't do that to you. But what you do is a bad thing, best friends will never hurt each other. You're lucky to have a best friend, and I don't have one at all".

Dava raised his head, he saw Anya who was down. "Why could that be?" Daringly Dava asked Anya. In Anya's mind maybe Dava isn't as bad as he thinks.

"I can see what they can't. People who are gone, their spirits I can see. Unfortunately because of that I never had any friends" after hearing Anya's words, Dava immediately stood up and pulled out a small knife.

Dava quickly cut the straps on Anya's hands and feet. Anya starts to get confused as to what Dava is actually doing.

"Have you found Hendra's body?" Dava asked Anya.

Anya could only nod, "what about Jinger?" Dava asked again, Anya shook her head.

"Well I'll tell you where the body is, which is clear we have to get out of here before my brother returns" Dava reached out his hand to Anya.

With hesitation Anya gave her hand and immediately clasped Dava's hand.

Dava and Anya immediately walked towards the door, unfortunately they were already known by the man.

The man stood up with an angry look, his hand holding a knife.

"Foolishly, your friend has betrayed you. Why would you want to help that girl**an huh" The guy yelled.

"Let's not realize" Dava shouted at the man. Looking at the overflowing angry face on the man, he started attacking Anya and Dava. Fortunately Dava had a knife too, with all his strength Dava tried to defeat his brother.

Anya walked out, she was about to find something. Until he found a stick, he quickly ran towards the brothers who were fighting.

He hit the man's body hard, causing him pain. That condition Anya used to escape with Dava with all her strength.

Dava and Anya continued to run quickly, the man kept chasing. When Anya and Dava were almost at the exit.

Dorian

The gunshot is heard. The man fired a bullet and hit Anya's right leg, blood just flowing. Dava started to panic, trying to close the wound on Anya's leg.

The man stood up while holding a gun, smiling to see Anya silently staring at him.

"The second shot will fit right into your heart, little girl" the man laughed loudly. Dava clenched his hand.

"Dava better you be with big brother" the man reached out his hand to Dava. But rejected by him.

"It's better that I die than I continue to be in the mistakes made by you!!!" Dava raised his voice.

The man looked down, then smiled.

"You two are going to die" the man shouted. Anya immediately picked up the knife in Dava's pocket, immediately he threw it at the man. Although it did not hit strongly but it managed to make the gun he was holding fell.

Dava quickly picked up the gun and pointed it at the man. "You want to shoot this brother of yours, you useless sister!!!"

"I'm useless, what about brother. Whether with sister killing a friend, one who has no fault, and sister brother's own sister will be happy" Dava began to yell at her brother. The man looked down, his tears flowing.

Dava walked towards his brother, they were staring at each other. The brothers embraced each other.

A knife landed on Dava's stomach, blood soaking his shirt. Dava fell down, and now the man looked at Anya.

"DAVA!!!" Anya screamed, her tears just flowing. It was not that the man was sad that he laughed with satisfaction. He immediately took the gun from Dava's hand and pointed it straight at Anya.

Dorian

The gunshot sounds loud. Anya opened her eyes slowly, she was not shot but instead the opposite.

The man had a shot right in his head. He fell and there was blood everywhere.

"Well!!!" A loud voice sounded from behind. Anya turned her head quickly, she did not expect now she saw Adit, Brian and a woman holding a gun.

Brian and Adit ran towards Anya, they immediately hugged Anya tightly. "Why we're worried" Brian said slowly in Anya's ear.

The sound of people coughing was heard by all of them. Anya, Adit and Brian immediately turned to the source of the voice.

"DAVA" Anya dragged her body towards Dava. He tried to squeeze the wound on his stomach. It looks like tears are flowing and just falling.

Dava saw Anya crying over him, a small smile on her face, though she continued to endure the pain.

"It's approaching" Dava told Anya to come closer. He whispered something to Anya. Anya nodded slowly while crying.

"I will, but Dava must survive" Anya said in tears. Dava held Anya's hand.

"I'm fine, you better go and do as I ask. Please just tell them, I'll be very grateful to you" Dava suddenly released his grasp, Anya immediately shook Dava's body.

The woman approached and checked Dava. After he checked, he looked at Anya while shaking his head.

"Sorry Anya, she's gone" The woman looked down. Anya covered her face with both hands, Brian who saw her immediately hugged Anya tightly.

"Here you go, I'm sure he's calmed down" Brian gave Anya a very warm hug.

Suddenly Brian felt something, he looked around. Brian saw many figures of women in shabby clothes and faces that looked once very sad and suffering.

Brian understood what it all meant, "Tante Ketryn, here are many bodies" Brian told Ketryn. Without having to linger, Ketryn immediately called an ambulance and the police.

Anya let go of her embrace, "Brian we go straight to school. There's something I have to keep" Brian and Adit shook their heads in disagreement.

"Would your leg be badly injured, we better go to the hospital" Adit spoke.

"Adit, Brian, please. It's also a request from Dava" Anya starts to force.

Brian let out a long sigh, "Alright, but you have to promise to stay near me" Brian gave his pinky to Anya. Inevitably Anya immediately gave an appointment to him.

"Adit the cave tipped Anya for a while, the cave had to pick up bandages in the car" Brian gave Anya slowly to Adit.

Brian ran very fast towards the car, he picked up the P3k box and went straight back to Anya.

The pain this morning was not so bad. In Anya and Adit's place he immediately bandaged the wound on Anya's leg.

"Let's go, these bandages don't wrap them up enough. We have to hurry before the wound gets bigger" Brian immediately gave the order.

The three of them headed straight for the car, Aunt Kerryn was driving. He also called the police.

Their car stopped at the school gate. They looked inside the school many people gathered.

Ketryn quickly got down and immediately asked the students around. After Ketryn went down, Brian, Adit and Anya went down.

"Excuse me why it's so crowded" Kerryn asked. "That's a brother, there's a trance" one of the students replied.

Brian looked at Anya, there was no look of fear at all. But Brian could feel that Anya was uncomfortable.

Brian helps Anya walk slowly towards the second floor. They left slowly leaving Adit with Ketryn.

They walked slowly, some students and schoolgirls looked at the two of them.

"Well!!" From a distance Riris ran while calling Anya. He was shocked when he saw Anya's condition.

"Riris what happened" Anya asked her friend. "Sir steyla he can't see ghosts, as he tries to communicate with them on the 2nd floor. Well it's like this" Brian patted his forehead.

"Based on that upperclassman, for what he did what he couldn't do" Brian raised his voice. Anya looked at Brian, her face looking very upset.

"Brian I have to go there" Anya spoke to him calmly. He just nodded and continued to help Anya walk up to the second floor.

On the second floor, the teachers slowly approached the rampaging steyla. Brian and Anya managed to get to the second floor, there were a lot of students there. Now they all look at Anya and Brian.

"Brian, Anya you better back off" one of the teachers spoke to the two of them.

Brian looked at Steyla, he saw a female figure on her body. Brian looked at Anya, "Can you see her?" Brian asked slowly.

Anya shook her head slightly, "i can't see it, but I can feel it" Anya closed her eyes.

Steyla slowly headed towards Brian and Anya. The teachers were on guard, Brian started to close his eyes.

Everything is grey, Brian and Anya are still on the 2nd floor. But everyone disappeared, "Well you're okay" Brian asked Anya.

"I'm good, you should be worried about yourself" Anya saw Brian. His face was sweating, his lips were also pale.

Jinger's spirit just came out of Steyla's body. He floated towards a table and just disappeared.

Suddenly, Anya and Brian saw Steyla's body lying on the ground unconscious.

"Sir please check the table" Brian gave the order to the security guard who stood up while watching the incident.

Hearing what Brian told him to do, he did it immediately.

He quickly checked all the drawers, only one drawer remained and the drawer could not be opened.

The guard pulled out a screwdriver. He started to break the lock. And when the security guard opened it, the smell of the pungent flower was just like that.

The security guard was shocked when he saw a preserved human flesh. The teachers approached, their faces pale at the sight.

Anya and Brian approached, they saw a very severe body. A female body that was cut into small pieces and preserved and until now still intact.

Brian and Anya look at the other side, seen the figure of Hendra and Jinger holding hands. Anya remembered one more thing.

He turned his head towards Brian, and was immediately answered by a nod. Anya approaches Jinger's body, assisted by Brian.

"Jinger, I just wanted to say sorry to Dava. Forgive him, he was wrong. He is only afraid that your friendship will be ruined by love, but he is wrong. That friendship can never be replaced by love, at least for him you and Hendra are his true friends" Anya smiled before Jinger's body.

Brian and Anya now see 3 happy-looking spirits. Hendra, Jinger and Dava are true friends to this day.

They disappeared along with the bright light, this was the first time Anya had helped in a case like this. There is happiness in him.

The headmaster approached Anya and Brian, he saw Anya's appearance filled with blood and her legs were visibly severely injured.

"Well you have to go to the hospital" the principal immediately told Anya and Brian to go home.

Anya looked at Brian, his face really did not look good. "Father can you call the Ambulance" Anya said.

"All right" quickly the principal called an ambulance. Suddenly Brian began to fall, he could not stabilize his balance. Anya fell down, now she looks worried about Brian.

"Brian, you're fine" Anya began to feel worried. Brian still did not answer, he tried to regulate his breathing.

Ketryn ran quickly towards Brian, his face looking worried. The teachers carried Brian's body down the stairs. Anya is assisted by Aunt Ketryn and a teacher.

Anya and Brian were taken to the hospital in an ambulance. Anya kept staring at Brian who was constantly lying down. He stared at the wound on his leg, the pain was not felt at this time. He was more worried about Brian.

"Brian please wake up"
