If I Could Dream

If I Could Dream
CHAPTER 1 - Karin And Painting

Not felt, two years have passed.

Karin's heart was racing. Today he sits surrounded by people who enjoy art. From bocil (small boy) to nursing arrived, observing the results of a painting competition themed ‘Harapan’ organized by the West Kalimantan Museum Committee.

Karin flinched as father patted the back of her hand.

“Do not bite-bit fingers,” persematan dad. “See your nails... until blisters.”.

Karin checked her finger. Oh, my father's words are true. Stabbed. Like old shoes whose skin is slightly peeling off.

“Not aware, yeah." Karin cengennesan's. “Done this no longer.”

Dad's tongue clucked. Karin was just in the mouth promising not to repeat, later would not be aware of hurting his finger again.

The man sighed.

“Dad knows you're anxious.”

The father smiled, looked at the full back then took the back of his son's hand, trying to channel the power.

“Daddy knows if you are afraid not to win, see how serious you are to paint this work. How do you forget the world because of the focus on dancing your brush on the canvas. How hungry you are because in the middle of painting, how many times your bunda back and forth the room remembers you eating, but you say brag-bentarrrr mulu until your mother is angry. Well, if you were, Dad would be just as worried. So anxious.

But remember Karin...

Whatever the result, no matter win or lose, you are still a winner after many things you learn from the previous race. You are still a winner when you learn and make this moment to develop. Got it? Relax first no hell?”

Karin chuckles. His lips may laugh, but his eyes are down, hiding the day because the words of the father are so comforting.

“Cause first ye gak?”

Although father had calmed her down, Karin could not dodge if she was still nervous. Especially when the committee finally announced the winner of the painting, his heart was racing.

This is what I was waiting for.

The champion of hope three was announced. A teenage girl of Junior High with extraordinary talent walks over to applause for her painting on stage. So did the champion of hope two who was summoned and stood with him there.

Karin flabbergasted. No wonder these guys won the championship. When the organizers opened the cloth covering their canvas, Karin's lips unceasingly muttered "woah.." as soon as she saw their painting.

“Vote of hope one.”

Suddenly a stick kicked Karin's chest faster. During this time the painting Karin average is in the ranks of champions of hope. At least if it doesn't enter the top three major, the girl still wants to get a charter of hope.

“Painting ‘Penetrating Sky’ by Samuel Giovanno. Congratulations, please get on stage!”

The crowd's claps again reverberated cheerfully throughout the room. Contrary to Karin's slumped shoulder.

How'this? His name is not called.

Karin didn't know if she could still hope? Honestly, he does not believe that he wants himself to be in the top three championships.

“Now, I will announce three major winners. Are you hoping for nothing?”

The committee's questions are completely useless. Karin was weak first.

“Princess painting competition themed ‘hapan’, champion three," The committee smiled to the audience who was waiting impatiently. “Painting ‘Let Me Fly High’ by Katarina Kusumaputri! Congratulations, please get on stage!"

Both of Karin's eyes were wide. What's his name called? Did he not hear wrong?

Karin looked at the father, the man eagerly trying to realize Karin that he won. The girl turned around. Seeing people clapping while looking at him congratulated.

Karin doesn't know if she's dreaming in broad daylight anymore or not? Painting wins? Called name? He's champion?

“A... me?”

“Iya, you!” Dad shook his hand to tell Karin to go ahead. “Quick, take your gift there. Hurry-hurry!”

Although still on the verge of disbelief, Karin moved from the bench with a friendly and awkward smile. The crowd's applause accompanied him as he stepped onto the stage. A committee came, gave Karin a gift while on the other hand, the father hurriedly opened the phone to take a picture of her son.

...****************...

“Cieee champion three cieee painting competition!”

Karin smiled smugly as Alessandra Deepa equalized their steps. The girl clasped her neck, almost choking if Karin did not immediately pat Sandra on the arm.

“Finally Karin is no longer the champion of hope, so it can be exhibited in IG official school deh!” Sandra wagged her hair, as if the champion was her. “Bayangin yes, rin. If only we were no longer pandemic! We must be having a ceremony now. Trus you are called the head forward, exhibited his achievements to all students, then your ex who was like a used car exhaust was–”

“Luck again pandemic!” Karin immediately cuts before her best friend imagines her far away. “And good thing you won the bet! The shadow, Sandra. If I did not enter the top three painting competitions I would have told you to dangdutan during the ceremony!”

“Ah, another pandemic profit. Thanks my lord, Jesus Christ, for you have sided with your son–.”

“These sins–”

“So Katarina Kusumaputri must submit one request Alessandra Deepa according to our betting agreement HAHAHA–hai Iaaanggg!”

Sandra waved at the men coming from the opposite direction. A tall guy with a blue knit sweater smiled happily. His lethargic steps suddenly excited, approaching Sandra who immediately removed Karin's neck embrace just like that.

The girl smiled broadly, quickly stepping towards the guy with her arms stretched out to prepare for the cuddle.

Before the loud noise from behind smashed them.

“KOPID-COPID! GA CAN BE DATING!”

If there is a more annoying sound than the school bell, maybe Chandra Sanjaya is the owner.

Chandra is fixated when Timothius Manggala (boyfriend Sandra) stares at the man fiercely. He smiled politely with both hands clenched to apologize, before escaping pursued by Timo to the next corridor.

“WOI CHANDRA! DON'T RUN YOU!” Timothius shouted with big strides. He must punish his best friend or Chandra will be happier.

While in the corridor 12 MIPA, Sandra's eyeballs twisted sebalt.

“They don't remember what if it was class 12?” Sandra wonder.

The sight of Timo and Chandra nagging each other is not foreign. Since the 10th grade, they always stick and tell each other. Karin and Sandra hadn't seen this sight in a long time. What would happen if other sights graced the rest of their 12th grade time. It's just the two of you, not four of you! Maybe Karin and Sandra can stress over seeing it.

Oh right, besides Timo and Chandra, where are the other two people?

Karin unknowingly looks in all directions, looking for the whereabouts of two more people who have yet to complete Timo and Chandra's mess. Usually there are four. Like rice paddocks food, if the rendangnya no definitely feels less, right? Neither Karin nor Sandra felt there was anything less to see the guys were not around.

Suddenly Karin is awakened to the real world. Don't, what am I going to do with them? There was no point either if the guy finally came to the surface. Suddenly, Karin felt like she was wasting a lot of time thinking about people who didn't think about her.

Karin even realized that her bag was very heavy.

“San, I save the bag first yes.” said Karin told Sandra.

“Wokee!”

Karin treats her best friend who still carries a bag in front of the class. That girl must have asked Timo to wait for her to come. The reason is to be able to bring Sandra's bag so that her lover does not ache.

“Sandra, you don't bring any more heavy ones? Let your ayang this is all that bring. I am strong! Anyway if you get caught bring it, we do not snack cimol a month!”

Because Sandra was more afraid not to eat a cimol a month, she chose to obey the guy and let him carry a bag.

Sandra knew she could buy her own cimol. But, “if he wants to help or want to treat why I refuse? This is a minimum, Karin. Bare mi-ni-mum!”

Well, it's up to Sandra and Timo. That's their business anyway, why is Karin dizzy? It was better to save his shoulder first because his school bag was much heavier than the burden of family expectations. Buset.

Karin turned body. Just about to pull the door handle, a big hand grabbed him so that the door opened wide.

As soon as Karin turned her head, she found sharp eyes that were also staring at her, unreasonably freezing their steps.
