Climbing To Ciremai Mountain (1)

The day that class X and XI have finally arrived, this is the day of their raport acceptance.

Two Days later

Rangga early in the morning had invited Hana, to go climbing to the mountain ciremai, and before leaving to the destination all teams who want to join the hike gather at the house of Rangga, to crosscheck the equipment.

Mount Ciremai which is located in the region of three regencies, namely Cirebon Regency, Kuningan Regency and Majalengka Regency are included in the Gunung Ciremai National Park (TNGC) has an altitude of 3,078 Mdpl and is the highest mountain in West Java.

This mountain has two craters, the first crater with a radius of 400 meters is cut by a second crater in the east with a radius of 600 meters. In addition, there is also a gowa named Gowa Walet which was formed from the eruption in the past.

There are 3 hiking trails that can be traversed to reach the highest point of this mountain. The first line from Majalengka, the second line from Palutungan and the last through Linggarjati. Each track holds its own sensation for climbers. But the most widely passed is the Linggarjati Line, has a heavy and steep path, making it challenging for climbers.

After from Base Camp Ranger, they proceed to Linggarjati Climbing Post (Simaction Post).

This post is located at an altitude of 650 MDPL or about 9.5 KM again before reaching the summit of Ceremai. Before making the climb, voyagers must register at this place. To get Simaksi (Letter Permit to Enter the Conservation Forest Area), then voyagers must fill in the biodata such as name, mobile phone number, other contact numbers that can be contacted and list of luggage.

The road that passes from the Climbing Post to Cibeunar is a paved road and during the journey, on the right side of the voyagers road can see the rice fields of beautiful citizens. As the name suggests, this post is a place where we fill the water supply to be taken during our hike.

The journey from Cibeuna to Leuweung Datar takes only 30 minutes. Along the way voyagers will go through pine forests and scrubland. The karekteristic trees in this area are slightly different from the forest at the top, this is because the lower region (including Leuweung Datar) was once managed as a production forest area Perum Perhutani.

After Leuweung Datar Post, they continued their journey to Pos Condang Amis.

In this Post we can see a large enough Shelter that can accommodate up to 20 climbers in it. The empty area in this place is also very large, the widest area that can be used to build a tent in sufficient quantities.

They rested for a while in this place, before continuing their destination to the Horse Grave Post,

The journey from Condang Amis to the Horse Grave takes approximately 1 hour. The characteristics of the climbing path began to differ from the previous posts, on the climb to the stables of this voyagers began not to find any more high weeds.

Trees with large roots that serve as a ladder to stand on will be more often seen. You also need to be careful because in this place there are also many pacets or blood-sucking leeches, so often check the body, especially the legs, afraid there is a pacet attached there.

After arriving at the Horse Grave Post, they continued their journey to Pos Pangalap. In this post they decided to set up a tent and spend the night here.

And continue the journey tomorrow morning. They began to set up three tents, and prepare a bonfire.
