CHAPTER 33: Conversations that are Enlightening but Also Astonishing

"That's Om Rafael right, Ma?," said Nabila to Clara who was still surprised to see the commotion that occurred.

Clara did not answer. Rafael's face was clear, how he could dodge it. All this time Clara always hid her relationship with Rafael from Nabila. And now Nabila sees it like this, somehow he'll explain it to Nabila.

Unlike Ian, what he had done earlier was to enjoy his ice cream. He doesn't seem to care about any of that.

But for Gisel, it was just better for Ian. Rather than him having to see a commotion that was not beneficial to the child.

"You want to add more?" asked Gisel to Ian.

The boy shook his head.

"Ah yes, better not. You will have a stomachache" said Gisel, answering his own question. Her hands repeatedly gently caressed Ian's head as Kanaya's step-sister was engrossed in enjoying her ice cream.

Living as Kanaya and being given a sister over time became something of a pleasure for Gisel who was raised as an only child. Among all the people in Kanaya's house, Gisel could at least maintain his sanity with Ian among them.

The situation turned a little tense when Rafael finally stood up from his seat after he had just sat down and received the tantrum from the pregnant woman just like that. Everyone there including Gisel already wants to see how Rafael will react next.

"Do you know you're disrupting public order?"

The first sentence that came out of Rafael's mouth sounded so deep and intimidating. There is no emotion in it. He still looked calm when he said that.

"This place is a public place. Everyone here needs quiet, and you suddenly come to disturb everyone's calm."

The woman wanted to say something, but Rafael cut her off later.

"You told everyone that I impregnated you, but none of your statements can prove whether it is true that I am the person you mean. Are you lying to a 5-year-old or are you making a play here?"

Everyone who witnessed it became boisterous because of Rafael's statement. Most of them agree with Rafael.

"He really is a lawyer" said Gisel, who sounded like a whisper.

"Don't worry. They know what they have to do. We are not expecting victory here. We just want Clara to be wary of Rafael. Thus, his confidence in Rafael little by little will be reduced. That's what you want?" explained Rey who also whispered to Gisel.

Such was indeed Gisel's idea that he conveyed to Rey at that time, when he thought of a way to keep Clara away from Rafael. Their secret relationship becomes a strong reason for Rafael to stay by Clara's side and continue to control her. Thus, creating most of the problems for Kanaya is also the result of Rafael's thinking.

But, looking at the situation now, Rafael seems to be able to defend well. He can still look calm.

"I know you will definitely say so," said the woman with her cynical smile. "But my purpose here is not to hold you accountable. I don't need you to be the father of this child. Because you don't deserve it at all."

"I just want everyone including your women to know who Rafael Diandra really is."

Rafael probably understood what the woman was going to do. Because then, he invited the lady next to him to leave from there.

"Did he ever ask about your assets? Be careful, he's a lawyer. He could easily change his ownership."

The screams of the woman echoed throughout the room. Everyone again became boisterous with whispers. But, Rafael continued to step on his feet without saying anything. Nor did he defend himself or deny that statement.

"Wait, Rafael. I'll take back mine."

After saying her last sentence, the woman fell down where she stood.

Gisel immediately stood up from his seat. He was worried about the woman. "Is he okay? She's pregnant again, Rey" she whispered.

"Calm, Gi. I told someone to take a look" Rey replied, calming her friend down.

The woman was eventually taken by the waiters of the restaurant out of the place. I don't know where he was taken. But Rey said someone was gonna take care of her. At least, Gisel's heart became calmer.

From a different angle, Gisel could see this incident affecting Clara. He looks more worried now. Nabila who had previously continued to ask his condition did not even digubrisnya. Clara seemed to be thinking about the woman's words.

At least, from the woman's words, there is a part that affects Clara. That's why he looks so anxious at the moment. Gisel believes this must have something to do with their company.

"Where did you get those people?" asked Gisel as they walked out of the restaurant. While Clara and Nabila they have walked first.

"I was investigating Rafael, and I met them. And they were the only two people who had ever been involved with Rafael out of so many women. Clara is the longest. Maybe if there was no Bagas to control everything, Clara could be disposed of more quickly like any other woman."

"But, he must have wanted something to the point of wanting to last long enough with Clara," Gisel said.

"Ehm .. it seems so."

Gisel knew getting rid of Rafael from Clara's life might be difficult. But if Clara could be affected because of this incident, for the future this would be worth it.

"Now we just need to work out our next plan" Rey said.

"W-what is this?," asked Gisel as he stared at the pile of documents Rey had placed on the table in the sports hall.

"Pak Satrio's. He asked you to sign it" Rey replied. That's why Rey picked Gisel up early in the morning.

Gisel doesn't want to lose. He took out a book from his bag.

"What is this?" asked Rey.

Gisel let out a nosy laugh. "Hehe ... IPA PR."

Rey sighed softly, then took the book from Gisel's hand.

"I'll teach you a little bit later" Rey said to Gisel's rebuttal.

"You can't be like this in the exam, Gi. We do not know when you will return to your body. And as long as you're still Kanaya, don't let the value drop because of you" Rey explained.

"You're really mean, Rey. You sacrificed your friend to help Kanaya" Gisel said sulked.

Rey chuckled at Gisel's grunts. "Suppose you've been given another chance to learn."

"By the way, what did you do to Vienna?" asked Gisel after he took his seat. His hands began to pick up one document for him to sign.

"I just gave him the call of the old man. But it seems like her parents don't care at all" replied Rey who had also started work from Gisel.

"You better be careful from now on. From what Nabila said, I'm afraid they have a plan to get back at you." Gisel then scolded him. "And it's better to be lacking too well with girls. That's why you have so many problems."

Rey then rested her head on one of her hands, and gave Gisel a teasing look. "Why? You jealous?"

Gisel had felt his heart give a pretty loud throb when he saw Rey like that. But he was already very used to Rey's attitude, therefore his rational mind quickly regained consciousness.

"I told you, that teasing look of yours won't work on me. So, don't bother seducing me," said Gisel annoyed. His hands went back to work.

Rey laughed again, and said, "Therefore I'd rather stick with you."

This kind of attitude is what sometimes makes Gisel anxious with his best friend. Just because they were good friends, he could casually treat her like that. Were it not for Gisel having trained for so many years, it might have been Gisel who would have fallen the most compared to other women close to Rey.

"Don't worry about me and Kanaya, Gi" Rey said suddenly on the sidelines of their silence while working on their work.

Gisel's hand stopped moving. But his gaze remained on the documents that were in front of him. His concentration is now divided. He could not focus on what was written in the document.

"I know what you think in your head about me and Kanaya. But between me and Kanaya is not what you think."

Gisel looked at Rey who was still writing even as the man said all that. How could he be that calm when Gisel himself could not focus on what he was doing?

"W-what am I thinking? I didn't think anything. Why should I think. It's your business with Kanaya. As a friend, I have no right to interfere. I-I can only support your decision."

Gisel knew what he was saying at this moment was already getting stuck up. He was too nervous to control everything he said when Rey said that. It was as if Rey was skinning him right now.

Gisel is getting worse when Rey's hand shuffles her hair again. Though this is not the first time, but now somehow feels different.

"I'll explain everything when it's time" Rey said.

Gisel turned his face to the documents he had neglected for choosing to focus on listening to Rey's rant. He pretended he didn't care anymore. Though the contents of his head were already filled with questions, what did Rey mean to say this to him.

"Now, done ... Not finished?" Rey gave up her job on Gisel. But Gisel is not finished.

"How to finish. All because of you!" wrote Gisel in his heart.

"Go, go there. Don't disturb my concentration, "turn Gisel away as he stares at his work.

Rey just laughed. Not one bit angry or upset. "Yes, you're here first. I'll get you milk for bread."

And Gisel immediately breathed out his relief as soon as Rey walked out of the gym.

"Sometimes he's too dangerous" said Gisel.

Gisel was just talking, because that's what came to his head. But it feels right with the situation at the moment. Rey sometimes does harm to Gisel's heart and mind. The danger that Gisel always denies.
