Some santri who saw the group of Damar and others directly directed them all towards the residence of Sang Kyai Pondok. Not to forget the four of them bought some hands before they came here.
After waiting for a while in the living room, Sang Kyai Pondok came, he was a little surprised about the arrival of guests who turned out to be very young. But after noticing Damar, he was not too surprised anymore.
“Nak Damar? How you been all this time? Have you not visited in the last few months and are the three friends you often tell?” asked Sang Kyai, he seemed to be very familiar with Damar.
The first to ask for an explanation is Gilang, how could his best friend was able to regarding Sang Kyai Pondok which is famous to be very difficult to find, even to the point of making Sang Kyai Pondok remember his name correctly.
“What are you all astonished at? Are you asking me about my relationship with Sang Kyai Pondok? If you want to know, then the story is very long,” Damar's tease on his friends.
“Hush! It's not good to lie like that Damar. Don't listen to my children's Damar. I am the sister of Damar's mother, it can be said I am Uncle or usually called Pakde by Damar,” replied Sang Kyai Pondok.
“Wait-wait? Why don't you ever say you have a family from a boarding school? Are you still friends with us, Damar?” panca and Gilang protests simultaneously.
Damar who had not responded to the protests of his two friends because he looked at Amelia who was very beautiful. In his heart he hoped that his lover could wear the clothes with full awareness, without any event like this.
“Oh yes Pakde, we came here because there is one of my friends is interested in one of the santriwati of this boarding school, but he did not get a good reaction from the parents of the santriwati,” obviously Damar breaks that riot.
Sang Kyai Pondok wisely gave some reasonable advice and he had indeed received such recognition from one of the santriwati guardians.
“Intinya, the father of santriwati does not want to make his daughter betrothed by rich people just like that. However, he must also succeed in becoming a good priest in the future,” Sang Kyai replied.
“If not one of the more that he really wants, the santriwati parents want that his future daughter-in-law memorized and understood at least 3 juz of the Quran,” continued Sang Kyai as she exclaimed her white beard.
“I will do it, then can I study here? I will continue studying and postpone my lecture briefly for the sake of doing that,” replied Gilang firmly.
“Nak Gilang, do not let you memorize and understand the Quran because of a woman, straighten your intentions first, do everything because of Allah. Before you can do that, you should not study here,” stressed Sang Kyai Pondok.
“Astagfirullah, forgive me Mr. Kyai, I have misunderstood all this. I will try to straighten out the intention first,” replied Gilang who was aware of his mistake.
