I Believe I Can See Ghosts

I Believe I Can See Ghosts
Go home

I started having psychotherapy the first session. He lay down in a comfortable place while closing his eyes. At that time Philip began to ask questions after questions to his son.

As a psychiatrist, of course Philip was calm and responded well to everything the child told him.

But as a father, honestly he felt so sad. He felt like he wanted to leave this psychotherapy session to his fellow mental doctors. He was not strong every time he heard the torture experienced by Kala so far.

And every time the sadness was felt, every time Gayatri's face flashed through her mind. The pain he felt was getting worse.

"You feel better?"

Philip asked Kala when the first session was over. Kala nodded and indeed seemed to have more energy and spirit. Than that when the session was not yet running. It is clear that he was relieved because the burden is now slightly reduced.

"Oh yes, today we go home" said Philip again.

"But then with dad, wait for your work hours to finish" continued the man.

Kala nodded back.

"Yes yeah" he said later.

So Kala was taken back to the room where he was treated. Philip continued his work.

"Philip's still busy with that kid?"

Philip's mother asked the husband, who was drinking coffee in his study at home.

"You as a mother should know better. You'll understand that I'm busy working and don't have time to always know her situation."

"Hhhhh."

Philip's mother took a deep breath.

"We have to do something, Pa. Before Philip drowned with the boy. He should marry, have a family, not live like this. After all, the boy was not clear of his origin. What people say later, we know-you married without ever marrying a child before."

The husband was silent, and seemed to think a little. Soon he called someone and told them to find out who Kala really is.

"I want to know the boy's origins clearly. If you need data about his family, bring it all to me" said the man.

Then the person who spoke to him on the phone agreed that he would fulfill what Philip's father asked. The mother is now breathing.

"Kal, let's go home!"

Philip told the boy when his working hours were over, and the administration had been paid for by the man.

They then walked across the hospital corridor, to the lobby and the parking lot.

They stepped over while chatting normally, like a father and son in general. Until then Kala's steps stopped, when he witnessed a woman crying in the face of a room.

On the other side of the woman were several police officers. It seems a serious case has just happened.

"Why, Kal?" philip asked the boy.

"The man who cried, he did it well." replied Kala later. Philip was shocked by the boy's statement.

"He killed and the spirits of his victims were near him. Again staring at the woman with hate." he continued again.

One of the policemen heard and turned to Kala. Philip doesn't want his son involved in other people's business.

"Make everything the same investigator. We are other people and we have no right to interfere" Philip said.

"Come on!" said the man again.

Kala was still looking at the crying woman, but she now followed her father's steps to get away.

"We eat yuk first, laper's father." Philip told Kala.

The teenager nodded, and Philip started to start the engine. Shortly after, they began to move out of the hospital parking lot.

Philip invites Kala to stop by a lesehan place to eat. They choose a saung with views of the garden and koi fish pond.

"These grilled fish are delicious" Philip said as they sat down.

"When you don't like grilled fish, it's fried and dry" replied Kala.

"Yes, if you want fried fish" said Kala.

"Don't you like squid?" ask Philip again.

Kala nodded. Then Philip ordered grilled fish, fried fish, Padang saos squid and also kale. Of course with rice.

When the order arrived at the table, Philip picked up the plate and scooped up the rice. Then the plate filled with rice he handed it to Kala.

"So this is enough or want to add more?" ask her later.

A little silent. There had never even been one person who was put in his mother's house, who served him like a child.

"less?" ask Philip again.

"Mmm, no koq well. Enough, just like this." replied Kala.

Philip handed him the plate and Kala accepted it. They then ate together while talking. But Philip had nothing at all to say about Kala's past or about the supernatural world.

Their conversation only discussed about school and what is currently viral on social media.

Kala is a smart kid and updates with everything going on around. As long as their chat is always connected, even in some sessions there are those who invite laughter.

"Why don't you like grilled fish?" philip asked his son.

"I don't know, I think there's a strange smell" said later.

"If it's fried, does it smell?"

"Disappear." replied Kala.

"Now I'm trying."

The boy took and prepared the fried fish on his plate to Philip.

"Enak." said the man later.

"But I still don't know what smell you mean."

Kala laughs.

"Maybe only Kala understands that" he said later.

Philip laughed and continued eating.

A nurse takes a new patient to a used room where Kala is being cared for. The room has gone through a thorough cleaning of course.

"Well, your room is here" said the nurse, moving the patient and placing the infusion into a pre-existing holder.

"My family hasn't come yet?" ask the patient.

"Mmm, it doesn't seem like it yet. I will try to find the info and can contact you. Or if you want to ask for help me who can contact, just give me the number."

The patient was silent, there was a look of sadness on his face.

"Where's mbak?" ask the nurse again.

"Later, sus." she replied.

"Well, just rest first. If there's anything call me.

"Thank you" replied the patient.

"Together."

The nurse was quiet, and everything was normal. Until nightfall, the patient was heard screaming hysterically from inside the room. The nurse who had changed guard shifts was now running over.

"What's wrong, mbak?" ask the patients.

"There's a female ghost and she goes into the bathroom."

The patient screamed with a face full of fear. The nurses then opened the bathroom door, and there was nothing there.
