I Am Among Them

For a moment Reyhan listened to someone who was talking on the other end of the phone. Reyhan blinked his eyes at the words of the person across the street.

"Well, I'll be there soon" Reyhan said before closing the call.

"What's up, Be?" ask Hanna.

"She's back to critical." Reyhan while taking a glass of drinking water in front of him.

Everyone was silent, examining the words Reyhan had just said. A few seconds passed and Hanna opened her voice.

"I'm coming to the hospital, Be," Hanna said.

"We went to the hospital together!" vishnu's Proposition.

They all finished the lunch in a bit of a hurry. After a while, they all went to the hospital.

Almost an hour to two cars belonging to the Vishnu family were down the streets of the capital. It was time for them to arrive at the hospital. They walk towards the ICU room where Ria is being treated.

Hanna's legs immediately limp without bones to see the condition of Ria from behind the door with some of the glass. In his left hand there are two infusions, on his chest also attached several respiratory devices. It was very concerning for Ria's current state.

"Sir, why does it have to be like this?" hanna asked in her tears.

Rita the in-law immediately invited Hanna to sit down. The small body was embraced, invited to sit in a long chair in front of the ICU. Hanna could only cry looking at Ria's state.

"Darling, yes. Don't cry anymore. Poor our future son." Reyhan rubbed the still flat stomach.

"Hanna, pregnant?" ask Rita.

"Yes, I'll have another grandchild." Reyhan turned to look at his mother.

"Alhamdulillah." Rita rubbed two palms onto her face.

The doctor who treated Ria just came out of the ICU room. React to everyone who was waiting for news of Ria's condition immediately stood up and approached her.

"How is Ria, Doctor!" exclaim Reyhan.

"We'll just pray, sir. Ms. Ria's condition is still critical. Cancer in his body has also spread to some other vital organs. May God still give miracles to Ria ma'am" explained the Doctor.

"What's there to see, Doc?" ask Hanna.

"It can, but only one to two people can enter" said the doctor.

After the doctor's departure, Reyhan and Hanna enter Ria's room to be treated. However, they had previously used special, sterile clothing.

The one called did not respond. His face was pale, eyes closed, and lips were always lined with lipstick that was now pale and dry. There's an oxygen hose in his nose. Hanna approached Ria, sitting on the chair that had been provided beside the gurney.

"Sir," Hanna called out again softly. But this time by holding Ria's hand which attached an infusion hose on it.

Reyhan patted Hanna's shoulder slowly, seeing that Ria was actually her heart as well. But what can he do. All is the destiny and will of the Creator.

"We pray that the doctor will be able to deal with all this soon" Reyhan said.

Hanna nodded slowly, unwittingly her tears escaped just past her smooth cheeks.

"Sorry Hanna, Ma'am. Hanna promised, will look after and guide the children well." Hanna while continuing to stroke her hands with that infusion hose.

Medical devices used to monitor Ria's condition suddenly sounded. Sontak makes Hanna and Reyhan look at each other. Sometime later Reyhan immediately pressed the emergency button on the side of Ria's gurney.

"Be, why Ria. She's okay, isn't she?" asked Hanna while sobbing.

"Calm down, everything's gonna be fine. The doctor is coming soon" Reyhan said.

A few minutes later, the doctor came with two sisters behind him. Now it's Reyhan and Hanna's turn to come out of the room full of the smell of drugs.

"What's going on?" rita asked as soon as she saw Hanna and Reyhan come out.

"Ria's back in a seizure," Reyhan replied.

Aqila who had calmed down since then suddenly cried hearing the news of the mother who returned to convulsions. Hanna immediately came to him and hugged the little girl.

"Well Mama Ria, she needs do'a from all of us." Hanna hugged Aqila.

Aqila nodded. While from behind the door of the ICU room came a nurse who had been checking on Ria. Sontak makes Hanna and Reyhan immediately approach him.

"Family ma'am Ria," call the nun.

"Yes, we, Sus," said Reyhan.

"Bu Ria is looking for Hanna's sister and Mr. Reyhan" she said.
