Shahnaz returned to the room. His chest was tight listening to the curse that was not actually addressed to him, but Elisha.
As a fellow woman, she felt that Rania's words were very painful. He who had initially been envious of the existence of Elisha, now felt sorry for the fate of the woman. She did not expect Elisha to live his bad days despite getting love from her husband.
The sound of Rania's scolding was still faintly heard from Syahnaz's slightly open room. Since then the woman continued to nag because Elisha had menstruation and his feces hit the bed. Though the nurses seem patient to serve Elisha, but it seems Rania still does not like it.
He remembered Jendra's words at that time. His existence there was actually to keep Elisha there. Jendra seems to have known that his mother does not like his wife.
A few moments later, the atmosphere was quiet again. Shahnaz was convinced that Rania and the nurses had left Elisha's room. He quietly went back out of his room and headed to Elisha's room.
Sure enough, Elisha was still lying there. He ventured to get closer to the woman. Elisha seemed to be asleep quietly, his beautiful face was radiant.
Shahnaz could not hold back her falling tears, feeling moved to see the woman and remembering Rania's rude speech just now. He wiped his tears. He sat next to the care bed.
The atmosphere inside was extremely silent, only the sound of the monitor being heard filled the room. Shahnaz grabbed Elisha's hand which was soft but very weak.
“Hai, Elisa. Finally we meet,” Syahnaz said with a smile.
He knew that Elisha would not be able to respond to his words, but he still wanted to talk to him.
“Include, my name is Syahnaz. It has been one week Mas Jendra invited me to stay here and I just dared to meet you.” Syahnaz's eyes look back in tears.
“I'm sure you already know why I'm here. It feels embarrassing to tell, but I still want to be honest with you.”
Syahnaz sighed. “Mas Jendra paid me to give birth to a child for her, Elisa.”
“At first I wonder why he wants to pay a woman who is willing to carry her child even though she already has a wife. But, seeing you like this, I can understand her will.”
Shahnaz wiped her falling tears. Although he was not strong at talking, he wanted to keep telling stories. “Mas Jendra loves you very much, Elisa. She sacrificed looking for another woman to get pregnant so you could stay here. I heard Mama's words to you. Just hearing it, I felt hurt. Why does he have so much heart to say that to you.”
Syahnaz could no longer hold back her tears. He wept in front of Elisha. Suddenly he felt the movement of his hands. He immediately gasped. He clearly saw Elisha's fingers moving. Syahnaz was both surprised and pleased.
“Elisa, can you hear me?” ask her with such a cheerful tone.
Unfortunately, the hand movement slowly disappeared. Elisha was still silent in his place, there was no sign of recovering consciousness. Syahnaz was a little disappointed. He was sure that Elisha's fingers were really moving.
“Elisa, don't give up, yes! Quickly get up, Mas Jendra loves you very much,” Syahnaz said encouragingly.
“You don't get jealous of me being here, yeah. Actually I had to. My husband has a lot of debt and my mother needs a big operating fee. I had to sell myself to Mas Jendra to solve my family's economic problems. Mas Jendra was forced to do it for you. We are both in a difficult position. I also want the agreement between us to end soon so that I can go home to my family. So get up quickly, Elisha! There are still people who want your recovery,” said Syahnaz.
“Syahnaz ... Syahnaz ...”
There was a voice calling from the direction of his room. He believes it was Rania's voice. The woman must have checked it in the room.
“Elisa, looks like I have to go now. Later, I'll see you again,” said.
“Mama, what's up?” tanyakanya.
Rania smiled to see the whereabouts of Shahnaz.
“Where are you from? Jendra said you were dancing but not down for breakfast.”
Syahnaz smiled clumsyly. “Sorry, Mom. I was sitting for a while on the balcony terrace,” kilahnya.
“Mama thought you were missing. Come on, come down and have breakfast,” take Rania.
The lower half woman was holding a friendly hand of Shahnaz like treating a favorite son-in-law. They walked down the stairs to the dining table. Terry was there enjoying his breakfast.
“Again, Terry,” say hello Syahnaz.
“Again, Syahnaz,” replied Terry with a chat.
Rania hits Terry's arm. “If you call a polite older person! Who taught you that!” his nag. He glared at his youngest son.
“Ow, Ma! The distance between our ages is also not far, I just want to be familiar with him,” tepis Terry while stroking his arm. Ever since Shahnaz was there, she seemed to have always been the target of her mother's anger.
“That's not polite! Call him Brother Syahnaz or Mbak Syahnaz!” rania Pinta.
“But why do we call Mamita with Mamita? Shouldn't we call her Aunt Mamita? Mamita is much older than Mama, you know!” terry protest.
Rania became dizzy with her son who was very critical and liked the protest. “That's different, Terry! Anyway you should call Syahnaz politely!” axed it.
Terry could only sigh in annoyance. “Terupon Mama, deh! I'll call him Brother Syahnaz to let Mama be satisfied!” terry said as he continued his breakfast. He wants to quickly spend it so that he can immediately go to campus. He didn't care about the two people's existence.
“Syahnaz, you have been living with Jendra for about a month. Does he want to do that with you?” rania asked in an awkward tone.
Terry coughed at hearing it. His mother seemed not to consider him to exist until she dared to discuss such a thing in front of an innocent child like him. Syahnaz also became awkward, especially there was Jendra's sister.
“Ah, Mom! Can you please wait for me to go to college? So no taste!” terry protest. “I'm leaving now!”
Terry finished his breakfast. He grabbed his backpack and said goodbye to his mother. “I'm leaving, Ma!” pampered.
“So, how? You guys did it, right? You know, I mean Mama's husband-and-wife relationship, you guys really do it, right?” asked Rania in a soft tone.
After Terry left, Rania was more adventurous with the topic. Syahnaz was so embarrassed, it felt like he wanted to disappear from there. He was asked about such a relationship by Jendra's own mother.
“Iya, Ma, we do it,” replied Syahnaz in a soft tone while continuing his breakfast even though it was not so tasteful.
