There is noise and noise at London Gatwick International Airport. The airport is the 2nd largest and busiest airport in London City, after Heathrow Airport. Ridho had disembarked from Turkish Airlines which had driven him from Jakarta the day before. He was in transit in Istanbul for two hours before the plane that delivered him arrived in the British capital.
This was the first time he had set foot in the country of Queen Elizabeth. Autumn air is so cold, even though the sky is so beautiful with the sparkle of sunlight that emanates in the morning. After passing through the immigration office checkpoint and retrieving his belongings, Ridho walked along the corridor towards the arrival terminal. Patricia picked him up there. Honestly, all the way to London, his heart was not lost. His mind raged on. But his determination is already unanimous to be able to successfully challenge Patricia, who may be his first love.
Ridho has agreed to the deal offered by Damian, the President Director of the company where he works. He is confident he will be able to get Patricia as well as the heart of Sir Antonio. Since his training in America, the way he communicates has changed, although occasionally the language of his region still appears. It's just that he feels more reliable and confident. Moreover, he had served as a manager for the marketing team, several times he could hook clients to work together in Winata company. This time he had to prove that he could convince his future father-in-law.
While pulling his suitcase, his eyes shimmered to look for a figure who had always been struggling in his mind. A woman in red hijab waved her hand. Therehewas. Patricia smiled widely, as she continued to wave her hands into the air. Ridho smiled seeing it.
“Hai, how are you?” tanyanya friendly. He did not make any physical contact with Ridho, because he still felt disinclined. Especially now that he has become a Muslim.
“My news is good, amazing. How about you?” asked Ridho while fixing the position of his backpack.
“I too. I'm so glad to see you. Looks like papa is too,” answered optimistically.
“Ah is that so? Glad to hear it.”
“Yes! Let's go!” take Patricia to the car park.
The two rode in a silver sedan and sailed straight towards the road. Ridho seemed to see the scene presented before his eyes. London is a city full of buildings. But it was different from what he saw at the moment. Green meadows and leafless trees greeted him at every Patricia swerved his wheel. The straight and sloping road was quiet and quiet. They were still passing through small streets before finally the car arrived on the freeway so wide.
“How long have you been living in London?” ask Ridho to the woman who is behind his wheel.
“About 4 years ago,” he said as he glanced at the tense-faced man.
The cars were speeding up, splitting the London Orbital Motorway.. Again the view of green meadows with leafless trees, there are only stems and twigs there. Autumn had dropped them to the ground and was blown by the wind. If there is a building on the side of the road, then the distance is very far. Unlike Chicago, the city he visited a year ago, has a dense landscape of tall buildings, racing to touch the sky.
“Where do you live?” ask Ridho curious.
“Barnet.”
“I think you live in the city center,” said Ridho.
“No. My dad did not like the frenetic city, so he bought a mansion in Barnet, an area that is quite quiet even though not far from the city center,” explained the woman.
Ridho nodded his head, although he had only heard the name of the region for the first time, he only knew some areas in London, such as Islington, Watford, Westminster, West Ham, Wembley, and Tottenham, respectively, all he knows is of course from various football clubs in the English League.
“We'll have breakfast first, you must be hungry!” guess Patricia smiled.
Ridho chuckled. Indeed cold weather like this makes his stomach feel hungry faster. Patricia stopped her car at a fast food restaurant, with the brand often found also in Indonesia.
They sat down in a chair after ordering breakfast.
“Ya?”
“What is your papa response related to our wedding plans? I heard your papa is one of the richest people in the world,” said Ridho hesitated.
Patricia smiled faintly, then gulped down her water.
“We should be able to convince papa. He is not an easy person to make decisions, especially I have done a lot of work. Perhaps this is my last request for her,” Patricia replied, Ridho looked at her deeply, then sighed.
“About what will happen when I talk to him?” ask Ridho again.
“I'm not sure. You have to prepare your best answer and I will help you.”
Ridho looks as if he is gulping spit into his throat.
“Are you sure you want to live with me? I mean, look at me! I am just a driver's son, working as an employee, and my life is ordinary,” said Ridho.
Patricia turned her face to the ceiling.
“I... I mean, haven't we promised in front of Namira's tomb? Are you still in doubt about this?” sergeant Patricia.
“Sorry isn't what I mean. You're the son of a world-class businessman. I'm sure your papa won't just accept a man to be her son's future husband.”
“Yes, it's true. Therefore, you must convince him. I love you, Ridho!” patricia replied firmly.
Ridho exhaled. Her heart trembled as Patricia said those words, as her feelings were the same. He bowed.
“Good. I'll try!”
Patricia smiled broadly. The two return to spend the rest of their breakfast, then continue the journey to Barnet, which will spend approximately one hour more.
