Help out! I Want Skinny

Help out! I Want Skinny
Part 15's. Theatricals

That afternoon the sun was shining and the weather was hot without wind. Marisa was driven to a very crowded cake shop when she got out of the car. The shop yard was full of vehicles until he was forced to drive his car far enough across the street.

He lifted one palm to cover his eyes and face from the sun and did not notice the arrival of a man in front of him who was walking while watching the mobile phone screen. Both then collide. The phone in the man's hand crashed into the street, while the cake box he was holding fell down on the tip by Marisa's feet.

"Goodbye, Ma'am! Look around donk, if the road. Got no eyes, huh?" protest the man while picking up his cell phone.

"You also walk while playing handpone, use blame everyone!" marisa won't lose.

The man checked his phone and exhaled a sigh of relief. "Thank God the screen didn't break. Just the scratch-resistant one is cracked."

Marisa picked up the box of fallen cakes and gave it to the man.

The man grumbled annoyed at the condition of the cake that had been messed up. "If it had been this way it would no longer be possible to give it to someone else."

Marisa observes the man before her and soon realizes that it is Brandon, Samuel's friend and girlfriend. "You're Brandon, right?" he asked.

The man raised his face and looked towards Marisa. "You ...."

"Marisa´s. Samuel's friend," cut Marisa down before she finishes her sentence.

"Yes, I know. It also succeeded Samuel turned Mbak into skinny. Oh, look what you did to the cake I bought for Samuel's birthday" Brandon lamented.

"That's a cake for Samuel?" reset Marisa.

"It was."

"sorry. I will replace. I also bought a birthday cake for her."

"No need. It's my fault."

"Don't do that. I am also guilty of not looking at the road. I'll also fix your phone's damage."

"That's it. It's okay," Brandon refused.

"Then the cake?"

"This is what you mean?" brandon asked as he lifted the box of fallen cakes. "It's hard not to eat" he said as he walked toward a nearby dumpster and threw it there. Then walk towards his car.

Marisa intercepts the man before he gets into the car. "Wait, Brandon."

"What's wrong?"

"I'd like to talk to you for a minute. Important."

Brandon glanced at the black watch on his right wrist. "A little while, huh? I don't have much time," he said.

"alright. We'd better sit in the cafe there. It's very hot outside" Marisa points to a cafe next to the cake shop.

"What's wrong?" brandon asked when they were inside.

Marisa sipped the unsweetened ice lemon tea on the table before speaking. "May I know the extent of your relationship with Samuel?"

"We're good friends" Brandon answered briefly.

"Please be honest with me."

"What do you mean, Ma'am? I'm telling the truth" Brandon said without understanding.

"You guys are dating, right? You're a same-sex couple, right?"

Brandon was silent for a moment, but immediately laughed out loud.

"Haha ... Marisa's mom is really funny. What kind of joke is this?" brandon.

"Samuel said you were dating and when you first saw you coming to the cafe where Samuel and I met, you were like a date" Marisa said with a serious face. "I want you to stay away from Samuel. Be like other men who like women" he continued.

"There's nothing abnormal about us, ma'am."

"The lie! I saw you guys holding hands and kissing each other on the cheeks. It's very uncomfortable to see that, and I'm sure other people are watching you both."

"It doesn't mean we're not normal, does it? Don't discriminate like that, Ma'am," Brandon said.

"No matter what I want, Ma'am," said Brandon.

"It's not you guys ...." Marisa was confused to continue her words.

"What Mbak saw at that time was just part of the play. Some time before there was a man who liked me and tried to have a relationship with me. While I myself am engaged to a woman who currently lives in Australia. In three months we will be married.

"This man who approached me was very aggressive and quite disturbing. I was a little overwhelmed by it, because she also asked her same-sex friend for help to intimidate me. Fortunately Samuel managed to help me out of a situation that also threatened my life at that time.

"The bully even though he never harassed me again, but still often watched. To really get her out of the way then me and Samuel pretended to be a couple, and the way it ended up getting her away. Samuel is a real man, ma'am. He's a good fighter too." Brandon told me calmly.

Marisa surprised. "really? So why in front of me sometimes he behaves like a woo?"

Brandon smile. "That's also a charade, Ma'am."

"Why is he playing so in front of me?"

"Former always called her Muelita."

"It's just a close call since we were in school, yeah because she's the culprit of gossip like a mother-mom." Marisa.

"It was then, but now it has changed."

"Yes, I was wrong. Someone else has changed it's me who has a hard time changing my habit of calling someone."

"What kind of friend Marisa's sister is. Not knowing his own friends," Brandon sambik sipped a drink in front of him.

"You're right. I don't even know anything about her" said Marisa softly and sadly. "Brandon, did Samuel ever tell you about the woman he liked?"

Brandon nodded.

"May I know who that woman is?" ask Marisa full of questions.

"According to Mama, who?"

"I don't know."

"Absolutely don't know?" Brandon asked making sure with both eyes narrowed.

Marisa shook her head weakly.

"Come on, I heard you guys have been familiar for a long time. Can't you imagine who the woman he's been fond of for years?" urged Brandon.

"He's close to a lot of women, Brandon. Either the woman was insensitive or Samuel was too shrewd to cover up his feelings. Please, tell me who he is?"

"For what? Didn't Samuel tell you that she was married?"

"Yes. She did tell me, but I wanted to .. be able to understand my best friend ... or maybe there was something I could do .. or..., ah. please," Marisa said.

"Samuel will beat me up if he finds out I told you, Ma'am," Brandon replied uneasily.

"I'll defend you later."

Brandon took a deep breath. "May what I'm doing be right."

"Don't be afraid. Just tell me I whine like a child, even publicly humiliate you to be told the secret, so you have no choice but to be quiet and calm" Marisa said.

"Oh my goodness, Ma'am. Do you think Samuel would believe that lie?"

"That's it. Tell me who he is?" todong Marisa was impatient.

"Who else would it be if it wasn't you, Mother."

"Who-who?"

"Yes, you're the woman Samuel loved so much over the years" Brandon said.
