May I be Happy

Berti hesitated to speak, but he wanted to meet Banyu at this time. The man called many times as well sending messages without a single reply. Berti also felt uncomfortable because of the incident the other day. He had not visited the man at all after Cakra beat him up.

"Never go abroad again?" ask Berti.

Cakra. Actually he really wanted to go abroad to see the newly opened branch restaurant in Hong Kong. Then to Surabaya review the location of the new supermarket building. However, not wanting the incident to happen again, forced to have to tell people to trust.

"Why?" The chakras asked.

"Kirain Mas wants to go abroad again."

"Wait for you to give birth. We can go together" said Cakra.

"Mas, I can work again, right?"

"Just take care of one boutique. Focus on the child and me."

"okay! Mas has agreed. I will give time to the family" said Berti.

Cakra gulps down Berti's apple juice, then feeds the fried rice into the mouth. Berti wanted to talk again, but his lips suddenly became twisted.

"If I go abroad, you stay with my mother" said Cakra.

"Why?" ask Berti.

"Let your feet not be naughty. Really want to be with Banyu?"

Berti. "Mas, can I talk to Banyu, can't I?"

Choking chakra on the fried rice he ate. Berti quickly gave water, then rubbed the back of her husband.

"What's? You still want to meet him?" tanya Cakra doesn't believe.

"Just talk. I want to have an important talk with Banyu."

"Speak what?" ask Cakra. "Really, Bert. If you want to be with her, never mind, I'll be willing to let you go." Cakra wiped his lips with a rag, then got up from his seat.

"Mas, you haven't heard my explanation" Berti said.

"Looks like I'm not exactly your best friend. I've been trying, Bert. Be the husband you want. But I'm just a normal human being who can't do anything. I have many shortcomings even though I try to make them my strengths" said Cakra.

"Why do you talk like that? He said love is with me. He said he can't live without me?"

"Keep me what? When I let you meet another guy, keep laughing with that Banyu." Cakra was confused to tell his wife. It feels like what he's been doing all this time.

"Makanya Mas listen to me first talk," said Berti.

"Talk. I'm listening."

"Banyu keeps calling me. I could've blocked the number, but I wanted to be on good terms with him as a friend."

"No man and woman can be friends" Cakra said.

"I knew. But I do need to talk to Banyu so he doesn't misunderstand. My permission to meet him."

Cakra looked at his wife fixedly, then he nodded. "Okay, I give you permission. But, I have to come."

Berti smiled. "Lunch time."

"Okay, I'll pick you up at home. Don't leave before I come" said Cakra.

"Yes, I'll wait for you to come."

Cakra switched from his chair, then walked towards the living room sofa followed by his wife. Berti helps Cakra wear a suit, giving her husband a briefcase that only contains important company files.

"I go first" said Cakra as he extended his hand.

Berti welcomed by peeping the back of her husband's hand. "But be careful on the road."

Cakra glanced at the kitchen, ensuring a safe state from Minah who might have peeked. Quickly, he kissed Berti's forehead.

"I went to the office" he said, then quickly walked out of the house.

"Mas Cakra" Berti muttered by touching his cheek.

Cakra had already practiced what Ariel had suggested. Starting today, he will give a kiss on Berti's face while going and coming home from the office. He was also determined to give flowers or gifts to his wife. Not as complicated as imagined. Just a small touch can make a wife flowery.

...****************...

At lunchtime, Cakra picked up his wife at home. Why is Berti getting so beautiful today? Wear a knee-length dress with short sleeves. Her hair was curly, then clamped with ribbons on the left and right sides. His makeup was thin, but the lips were given a red hue that made his wife look fresh.

"Make Banyu meet just have to dance," chirped Cakra.

"Is it wrong to look beautiful?"

"Not wrong" replied Cakra.

"Keep, why did Mas Cakra protest?"

"Not protest is just regret."

"What do you mean, anyway?" ask Berti.

"That's okay," replied Cakra finally, so as not to debate the beloved wife anymore.

The car arrives at the park park, where Cakra finds Berti with Banyu. Here too the location of the Cakra gives lessons for men who blatantly want his wife.

The two get out of the car, Berti calls the ex, informing him that he has arrived. Apparently Banyu was at the seating location that time.

"Banyu has arrived. Mas Cakra keep our distance from us. Just look at it from afar," Pinta Berti.

"If he's messing around?" ask Cakra.

"Not going. Just take it easy."

Can only breed. Berti walked first with Cakra tailing from behind. From a distance, we see Banyu. Cakra admitted that the man was handsome enough to compete with him. But, Berti already belongs to him, of course as an owner, will not give a chance to a third person.

"Banyu," said Berti.

"Berti," replied Banyu. "I'm glad you came."

"You're okay, right? Sorry Cakra hit you yesterday."

Banyu. "I don't care about him. What matters is you."

"Thank you, Banyu. Thank you for the past few days filling this emptiness of the heart."

"I'm happy to do it" replied Banyu.

"We're friends, right, Banyu?" ask Berti.

Banyu looked at the woman he liked, then saw Cakra who was standing watching them. "I want more than just friends. I can make you happy."

"I know, but I just want us to stay friends. I'm sorry, Banyu. Maybe I'm impressed to give you hope. I do like you, but I like my husband more."

"You still want to be with the statue walking like him? Bert, you will be treated again as before if you return to the bland marriage," said Banyu.

Berti. "I'm wrong, Banyu. I'm not grateful to have a husband like Cakra. He's not the romantic guy I wanted, but he's the guy I've been hoping for in my life. The best chakra for me."

"Bert, I always expected you" Banyu said.

"I'm not the best for you, Banyu. Out there, there's someone waiting for you."

Banyu nodded. "Yes, you're right. But this heart still hurts."

"May over time the pain decrease. Forgive me, Banyu," said Berti, then stepped away toward Cakra.

Banyu just stared at the woman leaving with the rightful man to have her. He breathed a long breath. Sick, but he shouldn't try to have another man's woman. Besides, Berti didn't promise her anything. Saying feelings is not.

"May you be happy, Berti" said Banyu.
