The little time given to make the family Ilham Hartawan busy preparing for the engagement. The event will be held at the women's residence.
They are not focused on work either. His heart has been beating faster lately. Every time Cakra tells or asks about his activities, Berti is always nervous to answer.
They did not meet after that night. Cakra is busy, and Berti is ashamed to invite her future husband first. She is a woman and should have waited for the man who invited her first.
"If you miss, just invite to meet," said Sari.
"No, ah. I'm ashamed."
"He's your future husband. What's the shame for?"
"Either that! I'm a woman. Supposedly, Cakra was the one who asked me to meet" Berti replied.
"Women should also be aggressive. Men tend to dislike passive women who are just waiting to be invited."
"I know about it, but it's like an itchy woman." Berti turned his face away after saying a word that he himself was too embarrassed to take out earlier.
Sari exhaled a rough breath. "You're a city girl. Naturally, really, a woman invites a man first, let alone it is her own future husband."
"I know, but I'm still ashamed."
"Why would you meet Cakra?" ask Sari.
"I want to ask you to buy clothes for our engagement."
Liberti did sell clothes, but he sold casual clothes of men, women and children. The company also sells shoes and sandals for all ages.
Berti needs formal clothing, such as a kebaya that is only found in certain boutiques. At least an expensive type of fabric that suits his ability to buy.
"Cie, cie, apparently want to ask the same opinion of the prospective husband," said Sari with a joke.
Berti's face blushed. "If I were beautiful, she would fall in love with me."
"Well! You like her?"
Berti nodded. "It looks so."
"Law, anyway. Cakra is so handsome," said Sari. "Try to send a message. Ask what he's doing today."
Berti recited his best friend's advice, then sent a message to Cakra. The five minutes he sent were unread. Berti did not take his eyes off the phone screen, and ten minutes later, the gray tick turned blue. From above is seen typing reading which means Cakra reply to the message.
One word. That's all it is. Berti read it emphatically, "Meeting!" He dropped his head on the table. "He's busy. I shouldn't have sent a message."
Sari laughs. "That's it, you'll see each other on Saturday."
"You're the same mom, you're the one I shop for."
"It should be. Our choice will not be wrong. You'll be beautiful on engagement night."
Coincidentally Sari got a day off, and it was used to visit her best friend at the office. The cut is not in vain because he will accompany Berti to choose new clothes.
"I called Mom first to meet us at Avanie's boutique. So, we just go there," said Berti.
"OKAY. Put on my car or your car?" ask Sari.
"Each of them."
Sari and Berti got out of the chair and grabbed the bags and went out of the room to the elevator that took them to the ground floor. The two walked to the car park, then entered their respective vehicles.
"I go first!" sari Exclamation.
"Meet there," Berti replied.
The red car drove first followed by the white vehicle that Berti boarded. On the way, the phone rang. He pulled over the car, raising a call from the man he wanted to hear his voice.
"Wait a minute" Berti said, "I put the headset on." Berti grabbed the listening device from inside a place near the gear lever, and immediately installed it. "Yes, Cakra."
"Where are you?" ask Cakra.
Berti returned to running his car and said, "I'm on the road to Avanie's boutique."
"You ordered a wedding dress?"
"Be careful on the road then. I still have another meeting. We'll see you on Saturday."
"Oh, okay."
Connection interrupted. Cakra was like a rush to stop their chatter. Maybe because he was so busy he couldn't say much. However, Berti was happy because Cakra still took the time to contact him.
Arriving at the boutique, Sari and Berti waited for Santi's mother who soon followed. Both choose kebaya for the bride and groom, namely berti.
"Actually I wanted to make clothes, but the time was not enough. Cakra will go abroad for the sake of his business" Berti said.
"It's okay. This engagement is only attended by close relatives" said Santi.
"Where do you want to choose? Light blue or green?" sari asked with a second kebaya in hand.
"Young blue looks beautiful. Let me take a photo to ask for Cakra's opinion." Berti photographed the two dresses, then sent them to his future fiancee.
Deringan messages go into Cakra's cell phone. The man grabbed a device located at the table, opened the message while listening to his employees' presentations.
"He told me to choose the kebaya" muttered Cakra.
"What's up, Mister?" ask Ariel.
"Pick the kebaya you like. Light blue or green" Cakra said, handing his phone to the assistant.
"I like the color blue, sir."
"Reply to Berti" Cakra said without looking at Ariel.
"Good, Sir."
Ariel replies to the message by typing the blue color that became her choice after it put the phone back on the table.
Berti smiled happily when he got a reply to a message from Cakra. "It's the same as me. He likes the color blue. Then, I take the light blue one."
"Blue is good" said Santi.
"I like it too" Sari continued.
Each one got the desired kebaya. Berti paid for all the clothes with the card given by Cakra. Her husband-to-be said she could use the money on the card to buy necessities, and Berti was not at all reluctant to use it.

The day we were waiting for finally arrived. In the afternoon, Berti's house was attended by close relatives of his parents. The engagement will be held at seven p.m.
Since noon, Berti did not leave the room at all. Only Mum and Sari often went in and out of her room.
"A little while my best friend will belong to someone else" Sari said.
"I'm just engaged. Not married yet" said Berti.
"Either that. You'll be busy with your married life."
"You're married too, dong," Berti said.
"Married same good marriage. The difficult ones run it," said Sari.
"Don't talk like that! Just scare me."
"Yes, yes" said Sari.
"Miss shut up first. I want to apply a blotch of lips" makeup artist told Berti.
"Yes, Mother. I was quiet, really. Just my best friend who from earlier made a storm."
"Who's riding a storm?" sari Protest.
Berti did not return his best friend's words even though his lips wanted to say something. She let the makeup artist apply lipstick on her lips.
Simple makeup became the theme this time. Berti does want to look sweet and graceful for a special night. He wanted to impress Cakra when he saw her.
