The Second Layer of the Sage Realm

“This strength is equivalent to Zou Di! I did not expect that there were still demons this strong in the Second Layer of the Sage Realm in Death City!” Ren Yuu muttered as he sensed the qi and laws exploding and tried to suppress it.

“In addition to that, I have guessed who the other aura really is because I am sure that it must be him.” Inner Ren Yuu and looked towards Shen Wu and Qin Yang had grim faces at the moment.

“You two, wait here. Zi Ling and I will go there now. I know one of them.” said Ren Yuu.

“Are you sure? I sensed that one more figure who was there was stronger than Zou Di, perhaps as strong as Zou Jiang, the Patriarch of the Zou Clan!” Reply Shen Wu with a slightly grim face.

“Quiet, nothing will happen. Zi Ling, let's go.” said Ren Yuu then walked slowly inwardly ignoring all the qi and laws that were trying to suppress him.

Zi Ling only looked pondering at the thought of who it was. He had been second-guessing but was still a little hesitant so he just nodded then followed Ren Yuu from behind.

“Is this okay? Both are very strong.” Qin Yang said with a serious face looking at the backs of Ren Yuu and Zi Ling who were getting further and further away.

Shen Wu glanced at Qin Yang and understood how that person felt because if anything happened to Ren Yuu and Zi Ling, their chances of exiting the Sage Realm would decrease drastically. This signified Qin Yang had recognized Ren Yuu's strength better than her.

“No need to worry. If he was sure, it would be okay. I understand a little about Ren Yuu's nature. He is someone who knows when to move and retreat and will not be careless even though on the surface he looks impulsive.” Shen Wu said.

Qin Yang seemed to think then nodded because he knew that Ren Yuu was a very intelligent person. Such a thought must have come from someone who had gone through thousands of life-and-death fights.

And it was true that the intelligence and attitude of Ren Yuu he had gained from his experience all along from the first time he entered the realm of cultivators then reached the current stage.

Right now, Ren Yuu and Zi Ling continued to move into the building. But the qi and laws that tried to suppress them seemed to be abating and not trying to suppress the two anymore.

Not too long later, Ren Yuu and Zi Ling arrived at one of the rooms that looked quite old, with two figures inside sitting as if waiting for their arrival.

The other one immediately made Ren Yuu sigh because the figure was indeed as he thought.

“I did not expect that you would come to Death City, Nie Xi Wu.” Ren Yuu said as he looked at the beautiful woman who had the features of a half-demon and human body.

Zi Ling on the other hand was simply silent. He knew how powerful Nie Xi Wu was and with him, clearing Zou Jiang was only a matter of time.

“Do you know the two, miss?” Asked the demon next to Nie Xi Wu whose name was Nie Dou. The information about him that he was a member of the Nie Clan was unrecorded, he was someone who ran to the Second Layer of the Sage Realm then joined a certain power under a certain Clan. The former Clan's place was simply a hiding place for him to avoid being tracked by a certain someone.

“Of course I know him.” Nie Xi Wu replied with a slight tone of hatred as he still remembered about the heir of the Demon Prince of the Nie Clan, Nie Ao. What made him angry was of course because Xu Han placed Ren Yuu very much in his heart. This was something that made Nie Xi Wu feel a headache.

“Where is Xu Han?” Ren Yuu asked as he would not forget the most devoted disciple he had ever brought under his wing. Due to Xu Han's over-stimulation, he had always wanted to beat him into porridge.

“Did you finally remember your student?” Nie Xi Wu snorted then continued, “I threw him into the Soul Emperor Resurrection Tower in the Second Layer of the Sage Realm to practice!”

“Oh? You guys even got there?” Ren Yuu was slightly astonished by the speed of Nie Xi Wu's movements.

“What brings you to this place?” Nie Xi Wu. Although he was desperate to destroy Ren Yuu, he would never do so because if Ren Yuu were not around, he would not know what happened to his beloved Xu Han.

“This is very coincidental. I originally wanted to recruit him to fight Zou Jiang. But, since you are here, then I will ask you for help.” Ren Yuu said without hiding his intentions at all.

“Zou Jiang? Who's that?” Nie Xi Wu asked in astonishment and looked towards Nie Dou who was next to him.

“Nona, Zou Jiang is the leader of the Zou Clan, the ruler of the Zou Clan in the City of Death who destroyed the Clan where I hid before.” Nie Dou said in a respectful tone.

Seeing the attitude of Nie Dou who was very respectful to Nie Xi Wu, Ren Yuu immediately made a speculation that Nie Dou was very clear about the identity of Nie Xi Wu. Although Nie Xi Wu was half Devil and human, it did not diminish Nie Dou's respect which meant that he was deeply related to the Demon Prince of the Nie Clan, Nie Ao.

“Oh? Is it because of that little character that you came to ask me for help? Go awayl. I won't help you at all!” Nie Xi Wu immediately refused firmly as he was still a little irritated by Ren Yuu.

“Hm? It seems that I should say something to Xu Han later.” Ren Yuu muttered as he held his chin like a sly old fox who thought.

Hearing Ren Yuu's murmur, Nie Xi Wu's face darkened instantly. He perfectly understood Xu Han's temperament after dragging him along with him then dumped him into the Second Layer Soul Emperor Resurrection Tower of the Sage Realm.

Even the extremely stubborn Xu Han always threatened him and one last sentence he clearly remembered was, Xu Han said that his life was for the old man. Whoever touches it will be my eternal enemy. After recalling Xu Han's words, Nie Xi Wu grew even more resentful towards Ren Yuu.

Zi Ling on the other hand could not help but roll her eyeballs towards Ren Yuu as the cunning fox nature of Ren Yuu had come out once again. And this time Ren Yuu was very seen utilizing the name of his disciple in order to use others, and of course to use someone as strong as Nie Xi Wu.

“Bocah no shame!” Inner Nie Xi Wu was currently staring at Ren Yuu with an intense killing gaze. If the gaze could kill, then it was certain that Ren Yuu would die by a thousand times.
