He Who Came Among Us

He Who Came Among Us
The last gift was kept a secret from him

A tingle of resentment mixed with anger on Garreth's face as he entered the reading room. I had a glimpse of him sitting next to Eldred. A faint smile was flashed to me who was far from his place.

"Miss Ruby Celeste, you're ready to read your late father's will" said a lawyer named Pirus O'connell.

"Yes." Yeah." Nervous reply. Turquoise looked at Eldred and Garreth alternately, "Miss, you don't mind them knowing the contents?."

"No objection at all. They are both my family, so it doesn't matter. Is there a rule about it?" I asked.

"No. There's no such thing."

O'connell's turquoise grabbed his bag, pulled out a sealed document, inscribed on the name of my late father there. After showing it, Turquoise unsealed it and took out its contents.

"Alright, we begin," Turquoise stared one by one at the room. The dullness of his voice sounded before starting to read out the contents,

...ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ...

To my beloved daughter:

Celeste Ruby.

I left a farm with a house to you. And the factory is located in Rosendalle, the birthplace of your mother. Take good care, I'm sure this plantation and factory will help you. As for my debt to the Zephyr family, I let you sell the factory, I'm sure the debt will be paid off. Forgive dad.

Dear father Ruby,

Marked.

Fox Celeste's.

...ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ...

A factory? For me.

"That's what miss is." Turquoise breathed a sigh of relief after reading aloud.

Turquoise handed me the letter, I read the handwriting of the late father, the cry I could no longer bear.

Dad, I miss you, dad, mom.

Eldred stepped towards me, patting my shoulder to stop my crying, "miss must be strong."

The lawyer smiled, "I know your sadness, but I have to hand over the factory documents to you miss. And ask for signatures and stamps, so that the handover process is legitimate."

"I'm sorry." I wiped my tears, trying hard not to disturb the process. I signed all the necessary papers, Eldred and Garreth were testified.

"To go back to the name of the factory on behalf of the lady may take some time, but trust me I'm an acquaintance of your father and won't let you down" he explained.

Turquoise cleared the file, gave the originals to me, "there's more to ask" he said. I'm shaking.

"All right, I'm saying goodbye then. I'll call you if the name-back process is complete, and call my number if you have any other questions." Turquoise shook my hand. After the affair in his belief had settled, Eldred ushered in the departure of Pirus.

Garreth, who had been silent before, was now approaching me, "miss is fine?,"

I smiled in response to her question, "yes. Didn't expect me to leave the factory for me." I looked at the dakumen handed over by the clerk, an unnamed factory in Rosendalle. And someone called Opal whom I don't know to be his supervisor.

What factory did you make?.

"You want to look at him" he asked. I was a little worried to answer, "it's still daytime, Rosendalle is only an hour from here, won't take your time, '" he said.

I considered his invitation, when the figure of Eldred came in to hear his son's invitation, "go away," he suggested.

"You can meet a man named opal there, the young man who takes care of it" Eldred continued.

My eyes were wide when my uncle mentioned a name I didn't know. "Uncle knows about this."

"The late Mr. Fox told me that when his dealings with Zephyr were sorted out, about 5 years ago his late master and friend from Rosendalle offered me a factory that was almost bankrupt, several times this person named Opal came to see the master when the lady was in college. And at the funeral and wedding day this lady of the man attended, "her explanation was cut short to recover her memory.

Eldred looked for a business card in the drawer and gave it to me. "He once gave me this, miss had gone to Aquamarine when he came back. Maybe want to tell the lady about the factory, somehow the late master managed to buy it. Maybe the check was the result from there," Eldred closed the story.

"Why didn't uncle tell me?" I cried as I asked.

"I'm sorry uncle, uncle thought the late master had relinquished the rights to the factory. Because the late master never told me about the factory in Rosendalle again."

Dad, why are you keeping it a secret to me. What are you planning to do exactly?.

"Miss, may uncle suggest one thing," a look of doubt from his face before speaking. "What uncle? Say it!"

"Hide from your husband."

"Why?,"

"Your father covered his factory willingly in debt to the Zephyr family so let this factory be a secret."

Strange, it looks like uncle doesn't like Zephyr.

"Does uncle have any other thoughts?,"

"No. It's only Miss's, don't let anyone take it again. Miss has sacrificed for this plantation, so don't let the last relic of the late master be taken back by Zephyr."

"Again" said Garreth, who had been listening.

They're not gonna hit me, are they, Dad.

I considered uncle's suggestion, "I understand uncle. Thanks for the advice."

"So, do you want to go there? miss," Garreth invited me once more. The offer was tempting, I wanted to come see the last thing my father fought for. "All right, we're going."

Rosendale is a small town with beautiful natural scenery, its citizens mostly gardening, especially apples. The cool nature of the hills greeted me, I never felt this when in Aquamarine City full of buildings.

"Thank God you're happy" said Garreth, breaking my preoccupation with enjoying the journey.

I looked towards him. "Of course, it's been a long time since I've breathed fresh air."

"Then" there was a pause of hesitation when I was about to speak again, I waited for him to be patient. "Only at the club at the time, what did your husband say? You asked."

"Oh that, it's done. Just misunderstand me. Don't worry."

The look in his eyes sharpened as he immediately turned to look at me. "That's true!." Nada can't believe I obviously caught him.

I glanced at him, "there's something wrong. You don't seem to like it."

"Ah no. Only then, sure enough that it was your husband but overnight you forgave him. Whether the lady was exposed to magic," the tone of her innuendo was so thick or more aptly mocking.

Magic of love, answer my heart.

I laughed hearing that, "thank you Garth for your anxiety, believe me it's just a misunderstanding."

Garreth didn't respond anymore, nor did I mention him anymore. He seemed to think but was reluctant to pour it in the chat. His eyes could not be separated from the street in front of him, not once looking at me again.

A large building standing firmly there is no sign of name there is only a tall gate towering over the watch by 2 guards and a herder-type dog.

We were immediately shown the way to the room of a man named Opal. A friendly, stocky man greeted us, a sweet smile adorning his face.

"Miss Ruby," he said, "finally we can say hello, yes" he continued.

It seems I recognize his face somewhere I've seen him.

"Thank you for taking the time to accept me without an appointment first" I said politely.

"I knew you'd be here when the letter was read. Fox I mean your father was the one who helped me," he explained.

His secretary brought us a warm drink. I smiled to say thank you. The man named Opal took the documents and gave them to me.

"The company is progressing a little, it still needs an overhaul in terms of the engine. But we can still produce according to market orders." I was just dumbfounded by his explanation, I didn't understand anything.

"I'm sorry.this factory." I said stammered.

The stocky man laughed, his body moving all especially the slightly protruding part of his stomach. "You don't know what we're in." He stood up and grabbed his phone, spoke for a while and then closed it.

The secretary came back in with a sample of the factory.

"Fox and I were best friends when he went after your mother Bell. This was Bell's idea, until Fox was willing to owe Zephyr a debt to build this. All the wines that Zephyr refuses are brought here. Here's the product." he took the sample and asked me to try it.

I was surprised by the taste. The wine is frozen until the crisps are like chips. "Overseas markets really like it. The demand keeps coming. Not only grapes, apples from Rosendale are frozen, try."

I picked it up and smiled like the taste. The man laughed again.

"It's nice that you like it. The factory is kept secret from your mother and from you, Fox thinks he'll inaugurate it when all the problems are over. Unfortunately the accident took away all his dreams," sadness enveloped his voice as he spoke. I am also sad to hear the story.

Opal fell silent for a moment expelling her sadness. "You're his successor. I'm just a watchdog. Build this factory to get bigger."

"Thank you uncle has taken care of everything."

"It should have been, Fox helped me a lot, it was my turn to help her." A smile on his face.

"Is there anything else?" I asked. He got up, opened his safe, took out a large envelope, and gave it to me.

I was astonished to see a land certificate in my name in Rosendale. "Your father may be in debt, but he's a smart man who doesn't want his beloved daughter to be hard. He bought you this, now the land is filled with fruitful apples." It was clearly endlessly sharing information with me.

"Fox tells me you're having trouble selling everything or letting go of Rosewood. You can move here. Celeste is not a legacy but a steadfast soul wherever she stands."

I hugged the fat man, I never once told him this. It turns out that dad has left a lot for me. "Use it well, miss," he advised.

"I'm not going to sell anything, I'm going to learn to move the business forward."

"I like your style, miss."

"Will you teach me?,"

"Of course with pleasure. Miss wants a visit to the factory," he bargained.

Considering the day was getting late I had to turn it down."It's not possible next time."

"Can all these things be a secret" I asked.

"Of course whatever the lady wishes."

"Thank you Uncle Opal, I appreciate your hard work."

"How is your husband?" he asked for a moment. I looked at him.

"Good," I replied. Opal smiled, a look of doubt still hanging on her face, "you shouldn't have married her. You should have just sold Rosewood."

"I'm fine," I convinced him, "he treated me well. Uncle don't have to worry, yeah," I added.

Talking with Opal was fun, until it was not aware the day was getting late. When the sun was saying goodbye, it began to fall asleep on the western horizon.

"You're happy." I turned to Garreth who was driving, "your lips are back" I commented.

His laughter rang out, "i don't want to interrupt your conversation."

"Oh yeah," I said, "at the moment I thought I was carrying a robot. You've become more like Soka, "my second comment about her.

His laughter exploded, "then persuade your husband that I might work for you." I turned to him not expecting him to be looking at me, I immediately turned my gaze away.

"I'll try," the voice I'm making doesn't sound sure.

"I know the result is impossible, but try who knows it works. And I'll try to work in a factory" he said. The happy expression on my face I can't hide.

"Right, Garth I love you." Without hesitation I hugged his arm that was holding the steering wheel of the car, "thank you."

She was beating clumsily as I did so, I took off slowly and hesitantly looked into her eyes. "You can't do this, especially to other men. Except your husband," he criticized.

"I know, but we don't usually do that. You don't like Garth," I said sadly.

Garreth placed one hand on the top of my head, stroking gently gave his consolation. "Like it, but I don't want you in trouble for this. Understood!."

"It turns out you're still a kid even though you're married" he said. We both laughed at each other. Tell me things we didn't know, until the car stopped at Rosewood when it was dark.

"Thank you Garth" I said, "ah! Tell uncle I don't have dinner" I said.

"I'll tell you. Rest,"

get Garreth.

"One more thing, I need your help tomorrow to get me to Rosewood police station." A question expression was plastered on her face, but she only approved of my words.

"It doesn't matter" he answered.

"It's 8 in the morning." I said. Gerreth agreed with her thumb.

"Okay, get Garth down." He replied with a mutter "hmm."

I stepped out of her way to my room. I threw myself in the bed, I reached for my bag looking for my phone that had no message or phone from him.

"Hubby, I miss you, what are you doing?" I muttered.

With the rest of my energy I cleaned myself up before going to bed, the scent of her still lingered. I breathed the pillow she used hoping to heal my longing.

I returned my phone, I tried to call him no answer, how many times I tried the same result.

"What are you doing? Don't miss me?" I said sadly.

My sadness plus exhaustion lulled me into the warmth of my bed, the scent of Topaz still lingering behind lulled me.

Hubby, I miss you.
