CHAPTER 24
Dita opened her eyes slowly. She felt the bed next to her looking for her husband. He found the bed next to him empty. He rubbed his eyes and sat up from his sleep.
" Hooaaanmmmm" Dita yawned while circulating her gaze throughout the room.
He did not see Abian in his room. He also did not hear the sound of water in the bathroom. He saw the clock on the wall. The clock shows at 5 a.m.
" Where did he go this morning? isn't he coming home?" ask her in a soft voice over to herself.
Dita immediately stood up from her bed to the bathroom. He cleaned himself up and prepared for dawn prayers. After the dawn prayer, Dita walked out of the room. He had seen his father-in-law busy in the kitchen. He approached his busy father-in-law.
" Daddy's morning, what's Dita helping you with?" tanya Dita shocked her father-in-law.
"you just sit down, sweet lady" replied his father-in-law with a smile.
" Dad don't do it." replied Dita smiled shyly because it can't what, "well last night bang Abi didn't come home huh?" ask Dita again.
" Go home, but go again, Mungin's many duties in the office." replied his father casually.
" The office is more work anyway, well permission ahead yes" said Dita rose from his seat.
Her father-in-law was silent for a moment looking at Dita who was walking out. He knew his son still did not fully accept Dita. Her father also felt guilty by telling her a part of their past. Not long before the middle-aged old man smiled to see his son-in-law carrying a broom.
" It's ready - ready, why clean?" ask her in-laws to smile.
" It's okay dad, let's learn to be the right wife" said Dita with a smile.
" It's not the wife's job, it's the maid's job, the CEO's wife's time is not given a housekeeper by the CEO anyway" his father-in-law said with a smile.
" His CEO wants to be taken care of by his own wife well" Dita joked.
They laugh together and then finish their tasks. Abian's father was pleased with Dita's arrival. He felt the atmosphere of his home more alive with the presence of Dita. After finishing with their respective tasks, they immediately ate their breakfast in the morning. This morning on the table there's fried noodles, there's toast. After finishing breakfast, Dita helped her in-laws clean up the dirty dishes. Then he went to the room to get ready for the office. After 30 minutes he came out. He wears a long-sleeved white shirt with a blend of formal 7/9 span skirts. She pinched her long hair adding to her feminine impression. He said goodbye to his father-in-law before going to the office.
" Well pray that today goes well." said the woman greeting her father-in-law.
Dita's been picked up by Mr. Anton's driver from this morning. He got in the car and sat in the back. Along the way Dita just daydreaming. He was a bit scared, especially Abian's position was not next to him. He has reached the Arkarna Group office. Today the CEO election is based on a vote of shareholding. His father Dita has a 40% stake, 30% ownership of his cousin Pak Rama named Agus who is none other than Andi's father. The rest of the shareholders are split into ownership. " You sure can win against me" Agus Arkarna said coolly mockingly.
" Who is the owner of the stock who wants to choose you who can not do anything" said his wife Maria Agus.
" We'll see" said Dita trying to hide her worries.
Dita walked towards the chair that had been provided. He is getting worried because until now Abian also has not revealed the trunk of his nose. The CEO election has begun. Dita walked gracefully towards the podium. He tried to hide his nervousness.
" Assalamualaikum, good morning father/mom all, thank you to the owners who have trusted me, but I feel there is something more worthy than me, for that I will give my position to someone who is none other than my husband, Muhammad Abian Alfaiz." said Dita with a smile.
