Chapter 30 Birthday

One year has passed. Anggi and Joko are currently preparing a party for Yara. Joko earned a raise and a higher position within the company. His happy household and the support of his wife, make him more enthusiastic to work.

Suddenly the door was knocked on someone, Anggi who was decorating the living room and opened the door.

Siska and Joko's stepmother stand there. Their faces looked terrified. Suddenly, Siska knelt at Anggi's feet.

"Mom, help me. I was chased by people and would be killed if I didn't pay the debt I borrowed from them" Siska said in tears at Anggi's feet.

"Siska, wakeup. Don't be like this. Sit down and tell me what's going on?"

Anggi, Siska and Joko's stepmother sit on the sofa and they begin to tell them what made them come and borrow money from Anggi.

"Mom and I borrowed money from Mr. Bondan. He threatened both of us because we were late to pay for three months" Siska said and in a nod by her mother.

Anggi seemed to breathe deeply. Her husband has not long been in office, and Anggi has just raised money in recent months. The money his stepmother asked for was two hundred million.

"I'm going to call Mas Joko first" said Anggi because after all she couldn't let go of her husband's money without talking to him first.

"Don't. If you talk to Mas Joko. He will definitely reject her," said Siska blinking her eyes at her mother.

"But I still have to talk to him first" Anggi said.

Suddenly Siska stood up as well as her mother. Staring at Anggi with annoyance.

"It's just coming to you. I thought you could help us," said Siska staring intently at Anggi's eyes. Anggi just become confused with their attitude.

"Had it, let's just go home. It's free to talk to him. Just useless!"

"Siska, mom...wait....!" Anggi called them. And Siska and her mother were smiling. Think Anggi will give you the amount of money requested. But apparently, he called her because Siska's motor key was left on the sofa.

"This is the key to the bike. Didn't you wait for Joko? He'll be home soon" Anggi said.

They did not answer and left immediately. Was what they were doing just acting? Are they going to cheat Anggi?

An hour later, Joko returned home. Anggi welcomes her and tells her if Siska and her mother came to borrow money. Joko looked shocked and stunned.

"I said tell them to wait for you. But they were angry and left immediately" Anggi explained.

"Ahh, thank goodness.." said Joko. Joko then recounts if in fact, her stepmother and Siska asked her one month ago to give her a new car. Of course Joko rejected him because he already knew the nature of Siska and her stepmother. Even all of his father's money and possessions had been spent by the two of them.

"So, they're just pretending?" ask Anggi.

"Her...." Joko hugs his wife, and Anggi is grateful that he survived his brother-in-law's insolence.

Tonight Anggi and Joko invite friends, relatives and some neighbors for Yara's birthday party. Even former Anggi, Guntur and Anita were invited. Ms. Gina was also invited to the event.

"Happy birthday....."

Congratulations made Yara reply with a happy smile.

Anggi holds Yara and gives Joko her first cake. The most important man in their lives right now.

"Thank you honey....." Joko eats the cake and kisses Yara and her mother.

Applause adds to the party atmosphere. Two years passed. Happiness in the household really Anggi feel when with Joko. The love and attention Joko gives her fosters the love in Anggi's heart for her. It feels so perfect for her house right now.

Anggi's relationship with her ex-husband and Anita also turned into a brotherly bond. It seems they are always in every event held Anggi. Likewise if they have an event then Anggi and Joko are also invited.

It turns out that the firmness of the heart and the spaciousness of the chest to respect each other and forget the bitter past, has created a beautiful new bond, namely brotherhood. Without resentment and jealousy, the relationship becomes an everlasting bond.

Like Joko and Anggi's love bond. They failed in their first marriage and are now happy in their second. Forgiving the past that happens out of control is the first door to open a new page that will be lived.
