Welcome to read πππ
"This is a letter to you, Fir!"
In a room filled with agricultural books neatly arranged in a glass cupboard, Firman sat facing the guidance counselor who had so far been the guide in completing his script.
While in the campus cafeteria, Firman was a little surprised, one of his friends came to give word if he was called to the lecturer room. Leisurely, he entered the lecturer room but instantly turned into such a great nervousness.
The letter was wrapped in a white envelope on the table. His forehead shriveled as his bead read the outside of the envelope that turned out to be from the campus rector. Open the white envelope. He took the contents in it and he read it slowly and carefully.
The two eyes of the Word are perfectly rounded when spelling out the words arranged in this letter. The series of letters by letters make a word arrangement that confirms that he has been in DO from campus.
"S-I'm in DO, sir?"
The lecturer can only nod slowly as a short answer to the question posed by the Word. "Yes, since your study period has exceeded the predetermined limit, then the faculty took you out of here Fir. Fourteen semesters of time were given, but until now your script has not been completed. Therefore, with a heavy heart, the campus issued this letter as a sign that you are in DO and from now on you are not this campus student anymore."
"But sir, are there no other considerations, sir? I'm sure next semester will be over and I can graduate."
The lecturer simply shook his head accompanied by a heavy breath. "Can't Fir, your chance is up. So, as of this date, you're not a college student anymore."
A firm answer from the lecturer, as if making the Word realize that there is no more opportunity left. Inevitably, disliking, he must accept what has been decided. He also squeezed the letter DO who was in his grasp and began to rise from his sitting position. He swings his footsteps to get out of this lecturer room of his supervisor.
With shaky steps and head down, he poked at the footprints. There was a sense of disappointment that enveloped his chest but what could he be if this had indeed happened to him? He stopped his steps, and chose to sit on a bench of concrete in one of the parks behind the campus.
Just now he wanted to unwind and unwind because he had officially carried the title of student drop out, the calmness of the Word disturbed by the presence of someone who suddenly patted his back from behind. The young man's body was slightly aghast and quickly looked back, with Stevi approaching him.
"Can't you, if you stop bothering me Stev? I want to be alone!"
There is no greeting with sweet and soft words that come when the lover comes. There was precisely a high tone that seemed to indicate the man was so uncomfortable and careless about Stevi's presence. He almost left, but was hurriedly prevented by Stevi.
"What's wrong with you, Fir? Why did you change like this?"
The word is only indifferent. Indeed, he himself also does not know, why at this time he felt boredom that struck when interacting with Stevi. Her mood was suddenly bad if she was close to this woman.
Stevi is increasingly made anxious by this indifferent attitude of the Word. It felt like he wanted to hit the head of the Word with a block of wood so that he could return to what he used to be. Stevi thinks Firman is losing his memory and forgets that he is his lover, who used to be treated as a queen.
"I ask you once again Fir, why have you changed like this? Why don't you treat me like you used to? Who has always treated me well, full of tenderness and full of love? Where's the old Word, huh?"
Stevi deliberately raised her tone by an octave. He hoped that the Word would soon be aware of his mistake, but it seems that it is only in vain because at this time the young man looked at the face of the woman in front of him with sharp eyes as if holding a rage.
"Lying what do you mean? I really don't understand."
"Lying to me that you're taking the contraceptive pill but the truth is not. That's what makes me hate you more. You have deceived me!"
The answer from the Word, a little to make Stevi understand. He can only throw a rough breath to dispel all the tightness in the heart.
"I didn't mean to lie to you Fir. This is how I get you whole. One day, you will be the father of our children, right? So what's different about now? Now that I have contained the fruit of your love, and you should have treated me well."
"But I don't want that kid right now Stev. I still want to finish my studies, I still want to achieve what is my dream and I still want to organize my future first. But now what's going on? All messy. You're pregnant, and I was dropped out of college. Destroyed all my dreams."
The previously high intonation of the Word is now slowly weakened often with his memory fixed on the letter DO he got. He felt in vain for what he had done so far and eventually foundered in the middle of the road. In fact, he could only finish his thesis and could hold a bachelor's degree.
Stevi seemed to not care about what the Word is experiencing at this time. He felt it was better the Word just stopped from his lecture so that the young man could focus on taking care of himself and also the growing fetus in his womb.
"I'm also planning on quitting college and focusing on being your wife."
Word flabbergasted. "What did you say? You want to quit college? Don't be crazy, Stev!"
Stevi only responded casually to this Word, because in fact he was not tasteful to continue his studies again. Instead of taking time off, he plans to stop in the middle of the road which also dissolves dreams as well as wishful thinking.
"I'm serious Fir. I'm gonna quit college and focus on being your life partner."
"How can we live our future if there is no ammunition we hold. My father no longer considered my existence. While your father went bankrupt, became an inmate and left no property at all. How can we live the future?"
Word ruffled his hair in frustration. He was very confused by Stevi's way of thinking. The woman seems so confident about the future that will be lived even though from here it seems only a future filled with gloom. But the woman seemed so confident.
"Haha hahaha calm down. I already have a solution." Stevi rubbed Firman's arm gently to make the young man look back at her. With a smile on his lips, Stevi continued. "We sell the pavilion we occupy, and after that we use as business capital to live in your hometown, how? You agree, don't you?"
