Chapter 14

In the evening, James was lying on the bed reading a novel he had borrowed from the library.

"Lately, Charles has been contacted frequently by Edward like him? Is that right, tonight I'll be changed just like Alex?" muttered James.

Suddenly the door opened, "Yo! You still up, James?" greet Charles who had just entered their room both.

"Hm, yes! What exactly are you doing with Edward?" asked James in curiosity.

Charles didn't answer James' question, "You know? Looks like something is really wrong with this institute! For example they were all like robots and only received orders from—" James said, cut off by an injection just stuck in James's back neck.

"Why Charles?" asked James who was starting to blur his eyes.

"Come in! I want to sleep!" charles shouted, the door was opened and faintly visible from James's eyes.

"Who is he? I've never seen him before?" james was curious.

"I've done my job, Dad! Give me a gift for this!" charles exclaimed the word 'Father' to one of the men who entered Charles and James's room.

"All right, I understand my son!"

"Dad? The kid? Who exactly is Char—" muttered James who stopped because James had already lost control of his consciousness.

James was taken away by Edward the overseer with their guards.

After a quiet state, "What future has really been made smooth?" ask The Father.

"In the future, Dad will be killed by Alex and the friend who helped Alex carry out his plan is James! They are both now robots! That means the future has changed!" charles was proud of himself.

"You are a proud child!"

NB \= The future that Charles is referring to is different from the future that Alex is experiencing.

In fact, Alex not only experienced time travel but they have entered another parallel world that turns out Alex met Charles who came from a different parallel world with him.

In the dark room, the operating light had just been turned on.

The operating room was suddenly very bright. James was lying on a bed with several doctors crying over him.

One of the doctors picked up a chip with the number thirteen and immediately approached her with James.

James's neck was split using a scalpel and as before, the chip was connected to the nerves connected to James' brain just like Alex.

Three hours later, James felt pain in his back neck.

"What'sthis? I feel like my neck hurts a lot and my brain feels dizzy!" thought James.

"Oh yes! Right, what did Alex say? Act like a robot so that my life is not threatened?" thought James who was reminded of the words of the message written by Alex.

James opened his eyes, enduring the dizziness and pain in the back of his neck.

"Already! Already conscious!" shouted one of the doctors.

Edward immediately stood up and approached himself with James, "Hm, get off that bed!" edward's orders.

James accepted the order and got off his bed even though he had to push himself and endure the pain.

Not answering, James just stared at Edward flatly exactly as Alex did.

"Good! Now you go back to your room and rest!" edward's orders.

A week has passed, Alex, James and Tasya have got his first mission which turned out to be led by Edward.

All the participants are getting less and less because after they master their abilities and talents and are stamped as experts then they are immediately transformed into a robot like Tasya kayaknya.

They were armed by the agency, each man carrying a gun and heavy weapons stored in the trunk of the car of course.

Alex gives James a hand sign using his finger, "Destroy the enemy!"

James raised his hand and pointed the gun at Edward.

When Edward sees James pointing a gun at him from the rearview mirror of the car, Edward is confused, "James! Lower gun!" exclaim Edward.

Suddenly Alex's handgun was also pointed at Edward, "Give up! We're tired of being controlled by you!" alex shouted threateningly at gunpoint while shaking his head in fatigue.

Instead of giving up, Edward plugged in the gas and the car drove fast.

"Whatever! If we want to die, then we die together!" threaten Edward's.

"Basic g*la!" alex shouted in surprise.

The car brakes are stepped on, shaking Alex and James from his gun that is pointing at Edward.

"Kill Alex and James!" edward's orders.

Tasya immediately moved by himself, he pulled out his gun. Just as Tasya was about to point his gun at James, James immediately seized it by force.

The fight goes on, Edward hits Alex and of course Alex puts up a fight with him.

A brutal fight ensues, Alex and Edward fight each other while James and Tasya also fight in the back seat.

The car gas was trampled back by Edward by force so that the car immediately speeded up while the fight became shaky until in the end, Edward was shot by Alex.

Because of the gunfire, the steering wheel was attracted by Edward so that the car grazed the sidewalk of the road that is higher than the road itself.

Until after the car hit the power pole, Alex felt dizzy while Edward was already struggling to get out of the car and escape.

Alex shoots Edward, but whatever the power because of his dizzy self. He could not shoot Edward on target.

Edward has disappeared while Tasya has fainted made by James.

"Huf! How's next?" ask James.

"Now we have to find a safe place first and I already have it!"

Since this was midnight, things were quiet unlike morning or noon. Alex and James carry Tasya out and leave the car there because the car has already crashed, if they keep driving it.

Maybe the police on duty will sing it.

Shortly after, there was a police car siren approaching. It's just that after the police arrived, only the car was destroyed there.

Alex and James are already in an unused building there, having rested Tasya despite having to tie him up because it was a request from James, Alex accepts it even though Alex can't bear to see the figure he loves is tied up like a prisoner about to be killed.

Just looking at that bond alone, Alex even cried. But, it was done because the order to kill Alex and James was still obeyed by Tasya, Tasya after passing the operation, himself became a tool of the institution.

Just taking orders from his superiors, neither having feelings nor being able to feel anything.
