Leila, the Ghost of the Underground Room

"Where do I know? I was in this school for half a day. So it has not been memorized by the invisible population here," exclaimed Rey shrugged while ordering her lunch as well as Yumna.

"If candy ghost aka the Poci, tuh who often collect in the banana tree behind the canteen is indeed common. Noh, hole lady aka the mbak whose back has a hole and a lot of maggot exit, also often nangkring on top of the mango tree. But if it's him, I just saw it."

"We just sit here, try to concentrate to invite him to talk from the heart. Can you?"

"Okey, I'll try."

Yumna tried to focus on thinking about that blood-soaked ghost, while closing her eyes. While Rey was just watching him while enjoying his rest.

"You who? Why follow Ms Reni?" yumna said in her heart.

"Can you see me? I'm Leila, please.please tell my mother that I love her very much."

"Your mother? You mean Miss Reni?"

"Yes, my mother hasn't found my whereabouts. I was held captive by my stepfather in the basement of our house. But, my father was out of town after torturing me because I was always against him. Until he forgot that I wasn't fed by him, with the basement door shut."

Leila looked down miserably, she hoped her mother would soon realize the cruel behavior of her stepfather who was only making use of her family's possessions. Slide after slide of events flashed through Yumna's mind.

It appears that her stepfather was dragging Leila into the basement, as well as her father's workroom, when her mother went shopping. No one knows that besides the workspace there is a secret room that can only be opened by the owner.

Later Leila is forced to write a letter, stating that she accidentally left home to get the peace of her life. He who always fought after his mother's new marriage, made everyone trust the contents of the letter.

His stepfather shut him up, tortured him, until left out of town to take care of his father's legacy. Leila was still covered in blood, plus hunger, until she ran out of energy to continue living her life.

"Cruel!!!" yumna's screams began to open her eyes, while accidentally crashing against the table.

"What the hell? Don't worry, thankfully no one's hanging!" suhut Rey looked around the canteen, with all eyes towards them.

"Sorry, yeah. Sorry, please continue!"

Yumna stood up, and took Rey by the hand to leave their seats.

"Still laper, we'll eat first!"

"Okay, let's just wrap it up so we can get out of here. Come on!" bring Yumna.

Yumna asked the canteen maid to wrap her order, then asked Ms. Reni's permission to wait for her after school.

"But, Son. Sorry, I don't want to. But there is business that you must do immediately" said Ms Reni refused.

"I'm sorry again, Mom. I just want to convey Leila's message," replied Yumna who made Ms. Reni's face start to look sad.

"Leila? You familiar? Where is he now?"

"Later after school I will explain, so that more time is loose. Excuse me, Mom!" pamit Yumna after receiving food orders from Reni's ma'am employee.

"What was the outcome of your communication with that blood-soaked woman?" rey asked as they were enjoying their afternoon break at the school park.

Yumna told me everything. He also told me about his confusion to say it directly to Ms. Reni after school.

"All right, I'll go. Now eat, hunt thinner later!" rey was trying to joke.

"I have no appetite at all. It was sad to feel Leila's suffering. Let's eat Handi."

"The body is like a scarecrow, it's still hard to eat. Anyway, why think of Meyta. Just go ahead if that is it! Haaaa....," Rey feeds Yumna forcefully, but unexpectedly there are dislikeful eyes that see their closeness.

"Aawws!" martha shouted as she felt something hit her head.

Yumna immediately turned her head and realized Meyta was there.

"Mr Meyta, pliss don't fad if you want to be here!" yumna said in her heart that no one should be suspicious.

"So he kept watching you Rey, I don't like it!"

"The part why is here anyway, instead of helping mbak Shema settle down and take care of the restaurant!"

"Beres, I just want to see my brother for a second. But instead look at him too, from earlier nagging yourself after seeing you the same Rey friendly use bribes in the school park," teased Meyta.

"Here you go!" rey exclaimed inwardly before Meyta slipped even further.

"Ready, Boss. Jagain Handi yes," said Meyta twitching one eye.

"Son, the boss's time is told to take care of people's children. Lagin also he's been gedhe, why must be guarded!" gerutu Rey herself after Meyta's departure.

"Patience, Rey. Patience!" yumna said while unconsciously stroking Rey's back which made Martha hot.

After school, Yumna waited while helping Reni who was cleaning up the rest of her merchandise. He also asked permission to follow Reni's mother back home after everything was finished.

Arriving home, Reni invites Yumna to tell her what she means.

"Is mom's husband still out of town?" ask Yumna before.

"Yes, I'm just at home with her sister Leila. Why is it?"

"May her sister Leila come here?" ask Yumna to calm her mother later.

Reina soon comes out, after a call for her from Leila's mother.

"Yes, Mom?" ask women who may have just returned from work because they still use the typical uniform of a famous company.

"Sit here, son!"

Not much to say, Reina immediately sat down next to her mother. It seemed like he was a child who always obeyed without a fight, at all his mother's orders.

Yumna started telling me everything. He said that he dreamed about Leila, so that Ms. Reni and the other family did not spread about her skills while listening to her speech.

"Maybe it was just your dream. There is no way that Leila is still in this house, with such conditions," Reni replied in disbelief.

Yumna continued to convince him to check the truth while her husband was not home.

"We'll try, Mom. May the dream not be true. But, why would she know all of Leila's stories if she had never known them before?" reina started talking.

"All right, let's just try to break it down. If there is a secret room there!"

The four of them went down to the basement, trying to temporarily believe Yumna's story. The room was filled with utensils, and the tool cabinets were lined in a row.

"Now, look! Where's the secret room?" tanya Reni started to look cynical towards Yumna.

"But, Mum. How's there a stench like a carcass?" reina Sahut.

"There might be a dead rat here! Come on, let's just get on before your dad gets home. He'll be angry if he finds out we're here! Yumna, you should also leave my house before I forcefully drive out!"
