Chapter 44

Keynand's body stared at the simple house that became the hiding place of Viona, his wife. Without further ado, he approached the house. But his steps stopped when one of his men approached him.

"Sorry sir, Miss Viona is gone!"

Keynand's heart stops beating when he finds out that Viona is gone.

"Quick find him! why is it like this you are all not so good!." snapped Keynand to his men.

"We've been trying to find him, sir. But, we haven't found him" said one of his men.

Without further ado Keynand beat up his men, then told him to leave before him. They should have been looking for Viona.

"Ohhhhh!!!" he said he was guilty of stupidity.

Keynand looked around and approached the modest house that was the home of Lando's grandmother, which was converted into a flower shop.

Keynand took a deep breath and exhaled violently. He reached out his hand to knock on Grandma Lando's door.

Silence, there was no telling from inside the house making Keynand glance towards the right and left. But still the atmosphere around the house looks quiet.

Not long after, there was a sound of the door opening until the figure of a middle-aged man with a tired face and still looks drowsy, as if he had just woken up.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to bother you. I came to find my wife" Keynand explained of her arrival.

"Wife?" said the middle-aged man while rubbing his eyes.

"Yes, my wife's name is Viona. He could stay in this house. Please tell me where my wife is going, don't hide it anymore. I will do nothing to him or to your family" Keynand said with a pleading gaze.

The middle-aged man was none other than Uncle Scrooge (Uncle Lando). Uncle Scrooge looked pensive at Keynand's words, then looked up at the man's face.

'Uncle, don't say anything if a man comes looking for Viona. Tell him that uncle does not know him.'

Instantly his speech the other day flashed in his mind to keep his mouth shut.

"Sorry sir, I don't know the woman you're referring to, I don't even know your wife. Maybe you're at the wrong house, sir. If you don't believe you can search this house" said Uncle Scrooge nervous and did not dare to meet the man.

Keynand instantly pulled the middle-aged man's shirt collar.

"I just want to know where my wife went! why would I search your house if the person I'm looking for is gone. I know everything sir. So. please cooperate and tell me where the destination is." said Keynand coldly, because it looks like the middle-aged man can not be invited to cooperate.

While Uncle Scrooge was surprised to hear Keynand's words, suddenly his heart continued to pump faster which was suddenly overwhelmed with fear. Even his hands were shaking.

"Tell me where my wife went!" keynand said in a high tone.

"I-I don't know anything, sir." said Uncle Scrooge honestly as he raised both hands to convince the powerful man before him, that he does not know anything about where the direction of the destination of the woman who had been with his father.

By forced Keynand to release his hand from the collar of Uncle Scrooge's shirt. He was able to clearly see the look on the face of the middle-aged man who did not know anything about the departure of his wife.

Keynand breathed a heavy sigh, he should not be ignited emotions and must be clever to soak up his emotions from now on.

"I think I'm just interrupting your break, excuse me." said Keynand and walked away.

"Let's go, don't waste time." cried Keynand to his men.

One of his men ran around opening the car door for him. Then Keynand rushed into the car ready to take him away.

Helicopters that had brought him to the area had flown far before leaving the area.

Alex chooses to open the iron chain that binds Laurent's hands together. It was so wrong to see the woman crying so much.

Though Alex planned to torture the cunning woman until morning. But, he did not have the heart to do it. Really, he was not used to torturing let alone hurting his female name.

Because as a child he had promised his late mother would never torture let alone hurt a woman. Not without cause until he had to promise his mother. There's a reason behind all that.

Alex and her mother always get physical abuse from her father. Almost every day he saw clearly the physical violence experienced by his late mother. Every time he protected his mother, the edges of his body were affected by the cruel actions of his father. So he was determined to look after and protect his mother at that time and promised not to hurt women.

I don't know what problems are being experienced by his parents until every day he saw the quarrels made by his parents. Eventually, both of his parents decided to separate.

Alex sighed, really he did not want to recall the childhood that became a dark time throughout his life. That time became a nightmare for him, because always get physical violence from people who should give love to him, but even inversely proportional.

"You've ruined my future, babu man!. I was so looking forward to Keynand becoming my husband. But, you thwarted everything.. hiks...hiks.." said Laurent sobbing.

"Have your drama and think about your life right now. Because I will never set you free!. You will no longer meet your parents" said Keynand, turning around.

Laurent who heard Alex's words immediately clenched his hands together. And secretly the woman reached out her hand to pick up the ashtray on her easy-to-reach table.

Before the ashtray landed perfectly on Alex's back, Alex quickly thwarted Laurent's action because he was able to read Laurent's movements. Alex's left hand immediately repelled Laurent's hand holding the ashtray, until the ashtray he held fell on the table.

"Keep your strength for now, because in the future you may not be able to fight me, Miss Laurent is insular." said Keynand.

Laurent does not accept Alex's words, he wants to beat Alex, but Alex hunted down Laurent's waist, making Laurent rebel and immediately slap on Alex's cheek.

"Stop biting me because it could be your fingers I cut and make it as a meal for you." threatened Alex. Sontak made Laurent immediately silenced immediately to see his fingers and hide them.

After saying so, Alex rushed out of his room. He locked the door of the room. He wanted to contact Lando. Again Alex growled annoyed, this is the third time for him to call Lando and Viona numbers but everything is not active.

"Why can't they be contacted? what the hell is going on?" ask Alex to himself.

"Don't-don't they.I have to catch up with him" Alex said and walked away.
