My body was rigidly sitting between two girls who were currently staring at each other trying to think hard in their minds about their position in my life. While me? All I can do is duck.
The accidental meeting, made me confused how to behave, and of course, my offer to invite Aluna to leave immediately, not necessarily go easily. Tania kept insisting on us to sit in the coffee together.
"Honey, why did I just find out that you have a cousin? We've been dating for more than five years?" asked Tania who still did not believe my explanation earlier. A gaze full of inquiry, still on me, as if preparing if I had a wrong answer and disappointed her, Tania would immediately beat me up.
I couldn't look at Aluna, but I guess I was looking at me. That I can feel. The girl's gaze was displeased, especially with the reaction of Tania's body that was struggling spoiled on me.
"I... I just found out, too, Tan. Suddenly Mother said that I have a cousin," I continued the story that Aluna had already written. "You don't believe it?"
I tried my luck to find out how far this lie could save us from the suspicion that was now lodged in Tania's heart.
"Oh so. I believe I, because your faces are similar." Tania tried to smile and once again she reached for my finger which I had just removed, grasping tightly.
"Sister, we're home, yeah. I want to do my job!" aluna replied snifflingly, her gaze was deadly towards me after glancing at our interlocked hands. There's no way I'd conclude that he's jealous right now, right?
"Yes, what, hurry, anyway? just a moment, Al," said Tania who remained friendly towards Aluna. Now he's more relaxed which indicates that he already believes that Aluna is my cousin's sister.
With a heavy heart Aluna nodded and again it made me stunned. Usually the girl is so selfish and does not want to listen to the requests of others, but now she wants to give up.
The two talked, discussed this and that. Thankfully, they had such an interesting discussion that they could last more than half an hour chatting.
However, every time Tania said spoiled to me, Aluna would waste her face, not being made a spectator of our intimacy.
I felt sorry for her who was so agitated that I decided to ask Tania to let us go home. However, there is certainly a price to pay for it. In front of Aluna, Tania asked me to kiss her.
"Don't dong, Tan's a lot of people. There's Aluna anyway" I whispered toward Tania's ear.
"Why should I be ashamed? He's your cousin's sister who's gonna be my sister-in-law soon too. We're gonna be good friends, too, aren't we, Al?"
Aluna did not say anything, not even smiling this time. Maybe his patience is over. He decided to get up from his seat, step away from us.
"We go home first, Tan. Not good with Alana. Tomorrow we meet again" I said, begging for his understanding.
"But promise, tomorrow pick me up at home. How many times have you promised to see Mom and Dad."
I hesitated to respond because Tania's request was very heavy. It's no secret between the two of us that Tania's parents don't like me very much. No need to ask why. It's very simple because I'm not from a family of people to be like them.
During the courtship, Tania once arranged my meeting with her parents. I remember, it was the first meeting and it was very horror. Stiffening because during lunch at the restaurant, Tania's father did not invite me to talk at all, the part turned to me just maybe just when shaking hands as a direct introduction.
As a result, after that incident, I became inferior. Honestly, I told Tania that our relationship would be tough. His parents will not approve. Even then, with a broken heart, I offered my farewell.
"But Tan...."
"No word but, you have to go home!"
"Yaudah, we're back" I replied, stopping the coachman's debate, because I knew I wouldn't win. Serial is hard.
"Bye, Al. I'm glad to see you. Next we go, yeah."
Without hesitation, Tania advanced forward before Aluna, kissing the girls cheeks, before turning to face me. "Greet my future-in-law, yes" he whispered with a smile, but could still be heard by Aluna, who again showed a displeased face.
My head just nodded the key to the answer to Tania's question.
I thought my problem was over because it was detached from Tania, but it turned out that the horror part had just started and it was right on the bike when we got home.
Aluna locked her lips. A word for him to get out.
"Aren't you hungry?" I asked him to communicate. It could be dangerous if he reaches the house he is still crashing.
"Al," I said as gently as possible. My question did not get a response from him not because I did not hear, but because I did not want to answer.
"Alana is beautiful, what do you want to eat? We ate and just got home, huh?" my question is to seduce. The flame that is currently lodged in Alana's heart must be extinguished immediately.
"No need! I'm going home!"
Well, right, true what I said. He's angry, but why? What makes him angry? After all, the meeting with Tania was only a short while, not disturbing his intention of wanting to hunt books, because it had gotten everything he wanted. So, what makes him angry?
"Aren't you hungry? Eat first, huh? I'm hungry."
"I said I didn't want to, I didn't want to!" His face with a trembling voice.
I pulled the motor over because not long after, I faintly heard the sobs of the girl.
"Don't turn around" he ordered as I was about to twist the body I wanted to see. "It is so!"
I gave up, following his wish. Do not get off the bike, stay in that position. Slowly I held my hand against his head, and then pulled it back against my shoulder.
Aluna did not resist, and in the end, the girl flooded my clothes with her tears. What the girl said, I don't know. Her cries were so heartbreaking, as if someone had already hurt her deepest heart.
"Come, we're home!" his command after being satisfied was crying and the crush in his heart was reduced.
