Chapter 17: Samuel and Laura

After driving Gerald home, Samuel returned to the club that night. He wanted to calm the frustration that had been overflowing because of Gerald's problem.

Samuel was surprised how there was a stone man like his best friend, from the age of 10 years they were together, only the insensitive nature of Gerald alone made him dizzy.

"Why? you said you didn't care about him anymore." now Samuel feels something bad.He's jealous because Laura says it.

"I never said I didn't care about her anymore, I just didn't care who she married, but I seemed to be eating my own words." Laura's face turned grim.

"You mean?"

"Last week I met him at a cafe, Gerald told me everything about him being forcibly married by his father, he said he still loves me very much and will marry me after six months, he said, when the deal with her grandmother ended."

"Gerald told you that?"

Laura nodded. Samuel doesn't believe all this. If Gerald is in love with Isvara why would he promise Laura a marriage?

Laura's eyes had been closed but the woman was still often delirious to say the name Gerald.
