Chpts. 13 - Honesty

"L-Leona". Irsyad stammered as he had not expected to meet Leona at Ara's boarding house.

"What are you doing here?". Leona asked unceremoniously with a face that looked annoyed.

"I-i....". Irsyad replied suddenly Ara came out and greeted the two of them.

"Sister Irsyad is here, let's go in". Take him with Irsyad and Leona's hands. Then they sit together.

"I don't know this, this is the friend I told you about". He said while introducing Irsyad to Leona.

"You know Ra". His words were brief as he crossed his hands in front of his chest and looked at Irsyad with a sharp gaze.

"Oh yeah, big sister's college friend huh. Or a workmate?". Ara was enthusiastic to hear Leona's reply.

"Worker to be more precise, he's big brother's boss. His company is the one that no invests his papa". Leona explained.

After Irsyad left, Leona continued her lunch with Ara. Then he went home, for fear of getting home too late.

"L-yes, I was just about to leave". Irsyad began to walk away from Leona, then he stopped and turned back to where Leona was standing. "Aren't you angry?".

"Why angry?".

"Yes, maybe it's angry why I can be friends with Ara".

"Why I'm angry, I'm nobody to you". Leona said as she turned her face away.

"Who is a nobody, you are my best friend". Irsyad.

"Oh yeah, I'm your best friend. And one more fact that I have known from this friend of mine. That the other day I said it was true".

"You mean?".

"Yes, the person you like is Ara right!". Leona's words made Irsyad's eyes widen in shock. "Not to be surprised so, just by seeing once I already know that you like Ara". Connect Leona.

"It doesn't matter if you like Ara. I have no right to ban you. And one thing, I'm a brother to Ara, but our mother is different". Shut up for a moment, "All right, I'll go home". Said Leona without hearing the answer from Irsyad he immediately passed leaving her.

Irsyad was still shocked by Leona's statement.

"Different mother, what does she mean. Mr. Gunawan has two wives. Hhaahhh is too complicated, the more curious I am about things that concern Ara the more I do not find a bright spot. And again Ara's answer should have been enough to make me back off, because there could not have been a chance to melt Ara's heart". Irsyad.

Meanwhile Leona was in her car, crying as she pleased. Because it is not expected that the person he likes only considers him a friend and more painful still there is no denying that Irsyad really likes Ara. After a few minutes, Leona tried to rearrange her heart so that she could concentrate on driving her car home.

Arriving at home he went straight to the room and spread his body, continuing his cry that had been delayed. His mother who had been waiting for his return was looking for him in the room.

"Mama's son is home". He said as he stroked Leona's long hair.

"Ma already". Briefly Leona, while staying with her position while lying down and covering her face with a pillow.

"What's Leo?". Ask her mother because she started seeing strange things about her son.

"There's nothing ma, Leo's just tired". He said, his mother who did not believe immediately pulled the pillow she used to cover her face. There Leona's tears began to flow profusely and she spilled them while tightly hugging her mother.

"What's your son, let's tell you". Hugging his daughter.

"Leo no papa ma, just sad". He now rests his head on his mother's shoulder.

"Even if you say no to papa a thousand times, you won't believe it. Who knows his son better than his own mother. Let's tell me about mama now". Said Sandra while holding Leona's face with both hands.

"Leo wanted to apologize ma before". Said while bowing.

"Sorry why?".

"I'm sorry that a few years ago, Leona was a little closer to Ara, and that was unbeknownst to her. And when Leo had a meeting in the city of B, Leo tried to contact Ara and stopped by his hostel to just rest and ask him how he was doing. But Leo met Irsyad there". Leo's tears broke again.

At that time Sandra was very angry, knowing that her daughter who she trusted so much did not listen to her words. However, seeing Leona who was sad he tried to forgive her.

"You know Leona, mom was so upset to hear your statement just now. The reason mom forbids you to get close to the kid is because mom doesn't want you to be hurt with her. Now look what happened to you, you cry. And what's Irsyad doing at the kid's boarding house?". Sandra said while controlling her emotions and still stroking Leona's hair.

"Sorry Leona Ma, now Leo knows how Mom felt at that time". Shut up for a moment "Irsyad, he turns out to be friends with Ara. And the person she likes is Ara".

"The child, just like his mother. He wasn't satisfied that he ruined my life. And now he wants to destroy my son's future, too. I won't let it!". Sandra's emotions began to burn after hearing Leona's statement.

"No ma, Ara is not wrong in this. He just found out that I and Irsyad know each other. And I don't think Ara knows about Irsyad's feelings".

"You've been hurt but you're still defending him, you can't. What belongs to your child must remain the property of your child. Even if she doesn't have the same feelings as Irsyad, you won't let her get close to Irsyad even if it's just being friends". Sandra's words ended the conversation between mother and son that day.

At night, Leona fell asleep in her room. There's Sandra checking Leona's phone.

"It is not difficult to get the location where the illegitimate child lives. Look, what I'm gonna do to you for hurting Leona". Sandra Mumbles.
