Not a soul mate

Jovan stopped by Rayden's apartment. Now Shila had moved to the Emperor's residence. He could no longer stop by Shila's house when he returned home from work as usual. Not can not but if he stopped by the old house Shila would only meet with Mama Alya. And if he stopped by the current Shila residence that was none other than the Emperor's house, of course he felt awkward. Moreover, he had not known the Emperor so deeply.

“Why is your face lethargic so? You're sick Ray?” Jovan asked as soon as he saw Rayden sitting pensively at the dinner table. Jovan was already told the Rayden apartment password by his best friend. So he was free to go in and out.

“No.” Rayden replied uninspired.

Jovan approached Rayden then touched the back of his hand to the handsome man's forehead. “Slightly hot, let me get you medicine first.” Said Jovan about to open his briefcase but was arrested by Rayden.

“Did you forget I was a doctor too?” Rayden stared at Jovan. “My heart hurts Jo, why is Shila marrying another man?” He looked at Jovan with nanar.

Heartache cheated on Lily first and it was decided that Lily some time ago did not hurt as much when she learned that Shila was now the wife of the Emperor. He just realized, true the saying if someone will mean if the person is gone from our lives.

When he left Shila just to study in Jakarta and they never even communicated for seven years for Rayden it did not make him sad.

But he doesn't realize that time can change everything. Shila still accepts her presence, remains kind to her, but she forgets that Shila is also an ordinary human being who has his own destiny. And fate didn't write Rayden down to be Shila's life partner.

Jovan looked at Rayden with pity. Yes, that's how humans are, the name regret will always be behind. “He's not your soul mate Ray.” Jovan said trying to cheer Rayden up.

“You know for sure that Shila did not do as Andra and Mama Alya accuse. Then why don't you defend him? Why don't you prevent her from marrying the Emperor? I can replace the Emperor if Shila really has to get married right then.” Rayden scoffs at Jovan, he regrets everything. Just now he was willing to fight but why did things have to make him hit back and turn around?

Jovan breathed out violently. He knew it was heartbroken, and maybe Rayden's heartbreak this time was really painful. “I don't have any rights over Shila, she's just my best friend Ray. Mama Alya was very fond of the Emperor, long before the incident happened Mama Alya was very excited to match the two. I can also see if Mama Emperor loves Shila very much. The two women both wanted Shila and the Emperor to unite. And it seems like God granted it with the accident.” Jovan began to tell a serious story, there is no Jovan who likes to play Spanish as usual.

Rayden's tears just shed. There was no sobbing but the tears kept coming down without being prevented. His heart ached and it was hard to accept this reality. But what Jovan said was the truth. He could not force everything to go his way.
