The man chose to leave and did not continue his words again.after Gavin was not seen then Shila and Jovan could both pencephas relieved and laugh at each other. The table he ordered was indeed not too far from Shila's place. So he can guess what happened even though Kai can't hear their talk.

Jovan returns to the hospital where she works on foot, while Shila returns to the college where she teaches in her car. He had to return to college if he could not be sure he would be late. Remember lunch is about to end.
