A clap of hands sounded. It was Tok Gakgak who stood up from his seat. The other soldiers who witnessed the event clapped their hands.
“Ha ... ha .. ha .. good, great ... ha .. ha .. ha .. ha. .. you are now a Hulubalang Pay” Tok Gakgak said while patting Pay's shoulder.
“Thank you Mr.” Reply Pay while squatting down.
“you rest this week. Afterwards you meet me for your new assignment.” Tok Gakgak said as he passed.
“Good Mr.” Reply Pay who has now been promoted to a hulubalang.
They all then disbanded.
Pay left the arena while staring at the nanar when three soldiers came to lift the corpse of Jom Maidi who had just been cut off by Pay's sword. He feels sad.

“We will be loyal to the Master and to the King. Our lives belong to Mr.” Pay said along with the soldiers simultaneously.
Tok Gakgak smiled.

Pay had been a royal Hulubalang for seven months. His main task was to command a hundred soldiers to secure the palace complex.
He also knew the other Hulubalangs and their armies. Each of them carries out their assigned tasks.
Sometimes Pay feels like something is wrong now. Sometimes his heart feels uncomfortable. Many he heard stories of injustice from the people when once upon a time he went out undercover. There was a lot of violence done by the palace soldiers.
Through other hulubalang stories, Pay has also known about the power coup that has occurred. How cruel the King who now rules. How Tok Gakgak power in controlling everything.
Some of them also feel uncomfortable, but also feel afraid to fight or just talk.
Because the stakes are not only their lives, but also the lives of their families. Pay has felt the same way.

Dozens of bodies were seen scattered on the edge of the forest. They are the thieves who often act to rob traders who will cross the southern route to trade to the capital or who will return home after trading.
Hulubalang Pay devised a scheme to lure the robbers out. He and his soldiers disguised themselves as passing merchants.
Using four horse-drawn carriages they made their way across the notoriously vulnerable southern track. On the path that has been described, it is true that they were then stopped by the thieves.

A soldier disguised as a chariot coachman stopped his horse when it was near to his head.
The motorcade stopped. Hulubalang Pay who rode a horse behind the group then advanced forward to meet the obstacles.

“How dare you guys pass here, huh?” Snapped one of the obstructors.
“Sorry Sir, we just want to cross to continue trading to the capital.” Hulubalang Pay.
“You go back to your place. Leave all your stuff here.” Another obstructionist said.
“Don't Master, we can't.” Hulubalang Pay said again.
“We are thieves, you see? Leave all your luggage, or you will die in vain, ha .. ha .. ha...” Another said with a laugh and pointed to the left and right sides of the forest.
Simultaneously, dozens of men with swords unsheathed out from behind the trees. They walked closer.
Hulubalang Pay looked around before then giving a cue.
“Now!!!” Shouted Hulubalang Pay.

The soldiers who had previously been hiding inside the horse carriage immediately scattered out from within. They hit the thieves.

Hulubalang Pay also hit the people who confronted him. He jumped off the horse and immediately unsheathed his sword.
With two quick movements, his two obstructors were immediately killed with their necks slashed.

Eight of his friends who seemed unprepared for what happened for a moment were shocked. But Hulubalang Pay did not give them a chance.

Three of his men were directly scattered to the ground. One more person started to retreat. Suddenly he turned around and then spurred his horse to try to escape.
Hulubalang Pay will not be silent. He then pulled out a spear that was on the side of the horse-drawn carriage and threw it towards the fleeing person.

His throw hit the person's back right through his body. He collapsed before falling off a running horse.
Hulubalang Pay looks around. His soldiers also seemed to have finished exterminating all those rogues.
All died in ruins. As for the soldiers, no casualties were taken. Everything was still complete and upright standing, except for five people who got less severe injuries.
“Gather all the bodies.” Hulubalang Pay Order.
The soldiers immediately carried out the order.
“We plant them on the forest side. You guys make a deep and big hole there.” Hulubalang Pay gave his order again.
When finished, they put the bodies of the thieves into the hole that has been made and then hoard it back with the ground.
They then proceeded to return to the capital, leaving an unmarked grave containing the bodies of the always unsettling bandits.
Hulubalang Pay and his army again successfully carried out the order.
