"Natural Gharib? What'sthat?" I spell that word.
"I don't know, but we'll know soon."
Grandfather turned the page once more, and on the second page was a very good painting, but not with the contents.
Seen in the painting is a group of strange creatures that I have never seen before. I've read many books about the creatures that live in this world and from what I know, there were no creatures like this before.
The bodies of the creatures might be like those of a demon that looked huge and terrifying, but they all had no face at all. There was one person who looked like a human, but his body was pitch-black and also did not have a face like the other creatures
All the creatures in the painting were attacking the human village and one of them was throwing a human head at another human. The painting is full of cruel murders.
Under the painting was a piece of writing I did not recognize and it was a circle that left the middle of the page empty.
"What is this writing? It can't be read and there's a blank page in the middle."
"Let me see the cake." I asked for the book from my grandfather.
My grandfather gave me the book voluntarily.
"Hmmm...." I looked at the book closely. Then I remembered the letter in Uncle Tapoc's room.
"Oh yes, maybe the letter had a clue." I looked at Rika. The others are too.
"Why are you staring at me like that!?"
We were still staring at her, so Rika would pick up the letter left in the previous room.
"Argh..all right, I'll get it." Rika immediately went to get her letter. It did not take long, Rika also returned with her letter which was then given to me.
"Thank you, Rika." I received the letter.
Then I read the letter more thoroughly. But even though I had read the letter many times, I still did not find any clues at all. The letter was just an ordinary letter.
"Huh.percuma. It's just a regular letter." I threw away the letter.
"What is this book for. You know in vain that I will not keep your orders."
"It's weird, I'm sure there's something Rick wants to say in this book." Grandpa held his chin.
Then shortly after that there was the sound of water gurgling that was getting longer, getting louder. It turned out that the sound was the sound of heavy rain that wanted to flutter this house.
"Rain is it?" My toot.
"Rain! Whoa, Rica! Quickly find as many buckets." Grandpa immediately stood up and then went to look for the bucket.
"Hadeh..be this again." Rika also stood up, wanting to find a bucket.
"What's the cake?" My toot.
"Ouch.sorry yes. Grandpa's roof is a lot of leaking, so if it rains like this. We need to get the bucket ready so this house doesn't flood." Grandfather said while carrying an awful lot of buckets in his hands.
"Oh yeah, then let me help the cake." I tried to stand on my own and I still couldn't.
"Be careful sir, let me help." Vivi helped me stand up.
"Thank you Vivi, sorry to bother you."
"It's okay, sir."
"Hey..." Rika called us. So we looked at him. When I was just looking, suddenly a wooden stick was thrown towards my face.
"Ups.sorry.that's a wooden stick to help you walk. It used to be mine when my leg was broken, but now it's useless. So I give it to you." Rika apologized with a flat face and to me it was like she was not apologizing.
"Thank you, I guess." I picked up the wooden stick while holding my still-sick head.
The wooden stick was half my body long, so it was good enough to walk. Although my walking is still teetering, but at least I can walk alone, without Vivi's help.
After being able to walk on his own, Vivi and I helped Grandpa to spread the Bucket at every leaking point. It turned out that the leak was very much, so we had a bit of trouble putting the bucket at the leaking point because there were so many buckets blocking the way.
15 minutes later, we finally finished putting the bucket at each leaking point. We could not sit there, because there were so many buckets there.
"OK wow. How much can a gini cake leak? Did Grandpa never have the intention to fix it."
"How to fix it? Money doesn't have it?"
"Of course Uncle Tapoc never sent money here. My grandfather used to look after him, when he never sent a dime."
"Yes he did send, but...." Grandfather shifted his gaze as if he wanted to avoid this question.
"He used the money to play gambling." Rika continued speaking to Grandpa.
At first I felt sorry for her because she was poor in this place and maybe it was because Uncle Tapoc didn't send her money, but since Rika said that I didn't feel sorry for her and stared cynically at her.
"Double, double. Money is gone, yes."
"But I'm sure one day I can win, Rika."
"There is no one day, the money-giver is dead and we are poor because of Grandpa."
Grandpa and Rika argue with each other. Because Vivi didn't care about it she looked around this house and she saw the letter that had been crushed by a bucket full of water.
He came to the letter and took it. When he picked it up and flipped the letter. He was surprised and called out loud.
"Master, sir. Look at this." Vivi came up to me and gave me the letter.
"What's up, Vivi?" I received the letter and there appeared the letter L which appeared behind the letter.
"So the letter was crushed by that bucket over there."
I looked at the bucket full of water and realized something.
"Water.we need water."
I put the letter on the floor, though narrow, but I didn't care. The important thing is that I can put the letter on the floor and wet it with water.
When I had placed the letter on the floor, I dipped my hand in the bucket near me and then pressed my wet hand against the letter.
Shortly after that, it appeared letter by letter on the paper. The letters then form a word and a sentence.
"That's great, is this magic?" Said grandpa.
"No, this is science."
All the letters are visible and form a short sentence. It's written....
I am the light in the midst of darkness, reach out to me and say, Gavaita.
"What does this phrase mean?" Ask Grandpa.
"Hm....Light." I held onto my chin and remembered about the long writing with a circle in the middle of the writing in the black book earlier.
"Where's the book, cake?"
"Tell it there."
The book was placed on a table where it was safe from water droplets.
"All right, I'll get it." Not only did we stare at her, but Rika had already volunteered herself to pick up the book that was on the table.
He passed through the buckets blocking the way, picked up the book and returned while carrying the black book. After he gave the black book to me.
"Thank you." I accepted it and immediately opened the page with the strange painting and writing earlier.
"Alright, darkness means this strange writing and light means an empty circle in the middle of this writing. Then reach for the light means touching the hand to the circle in this book." I wiped my wet hand and then placed my hand in the middle of the circle.
"After that say, Gavaita." After I said that, suddenly the book flew and it made the entire room also fly as if there was no gravity inside the house.
"What's this?" Said Grandpa who looked panicked.
The book was like turning its own page and at that time it was a bright light that made the place bright. We couldn't see what was happening because the book was shining so brightly.
Then after a few seconds the book fell and closed itself which then the flying items also fell, but even though they had fallen they were still in their original condition. There is no change, everything is in the same position. Even the bucket still holds the water that leaked earlier.
"What's going on? Doesn't seem like there's any change?" Said Rica.
I looked at the black book on the floor. Which then I took the book to check if anything had changed in the book. But when I opened it, it was still the same.
"Nothing has changed."
"Then for what?" Rika looks irritated
Then when we were disappointed, suddenly someone spoke behind us.
"Hello."
"Waa...!
We were surprised and reflexively fell and made buckets around us fall and spill the water inside
We looked back at who was speaking earlier, it turned out that that person was a middle-aged man, who was very thin and also had a beard. I don't know who it is, but it looks like grandpa knows because he looks gaping a little bit.
"Rick."
