CHAPTRE 17

Tonight feels very different. It was as if a great change had occurred under the witness of the stars. Alex, now turned into a man who hugged her warmly, having always looked at Reina without feeling bound.

His embrace in that place became the first time in Reina's life he got a sincere hug from a man other than his father, ah no, precisely his stepfather. The woman still half-could not believe that the one who had hugged her was Alex.

Now they are both in Alex's car that Reina was carrying. Both of them were silent, Reina even set her eyes out of the car, staring at the hustle of the city at night.

Reina yawned feeling sleepy, moreover she had been crying for a very long time. Alex who saw that suddenly smiled slightly, her lips lifted next to her, and Reina looked at her. Inwardly he was eager to smile, seeing this was the first smile Alex Reina saw when she was alone. However, Reina immediately turned her face back towards the road.

As if staring at the lights in the dark of the night, Reina felt Alex's palm land on the back of her hand. Reina turned her head, but only found Alex's hand holding her hand, while Alex's face was still focused towards the road ahead.

With a puzzled face, Reina just let the burly hand hold it. Until Alex finally opened his voice. “I'm afraid of losing you.”

Reina choked up, she glanced at Alex in disbelief, but, the man kept his eyes fixed forward. Reina replied, “A-ah, yes? What did you say just now?”

“I just realized it, I'm afraid of losing you.”

Reina was misbehaved, she did not know what to respond to. His mouth was now silent, not a word flashed across his head to simply answer.

“I'm sorry.”

Back in shock, Reina looked at Alex for all her time. But, the difference was, the man immediately marginalized the car and stared back at Reina intently.

“I realize, you awakened me.”

“I'm too selfish in my life.”

“I ... I never think about what others feel.”

“The proof, I didn't realize, that I not only felt I needed you for the kids, but, also for myself.”

Let's think logically, since when can an Alexander Leonel Bieber speak this deep? Reina was stunned in her heart. He was touched, he didn't know what to feel. Whether he was happy, or he was confused, or even he was disappointed, Reina did not know.

Alex's burly hand turned to grip both hands of Reina. The man took off his seat belt, and pointed his body towards Reina perfectly. In his heart Alex said he was very nervous, he even felt foreign.
