Excuse me, I'm Stopping!

POV Elena

I don't understand Evan at all. First, he smashed my glasses and then he bought me new glasses. Is he bipolar? I don't understand.

Maybe he felt sorry for me. Yeah, that's all. He thinks I'm his pet.

I shouldn't have let him treat me like this forever. I have to fight him! I went to the class I had with Brent. He was the only one who cared about being nice to me or even talking to me. His simple kindness in acknowledging me means a lot!

"Hi Elena," Brent looked up and smiled.

"Hey, thanks for helping me out the other day. And I'm sorry Evan scares you," I frowned.

"Oh, that guy? Don'worry. He scares everyone, believe me," Brent chuckled. "I'm glad you're okay. He didn't try anything, did he?" he seemed worried all of a sudden.

"T..no.he's actually my neighbor, so he just drove me home" I said slowly.

"I'm curious. You always hang out with her so I thought you two were friends, but you seemed to be afraid of her?" ask Brent.

"We're not friends!" I said too excited. "He bullied me into doing something for him!" i exclaimed.

"Elena, you can't let her push you. You have to defend yourself. Just try it and maybe he'll leave you alone" she smiled and touched my hand.

I feel my heart beating. Do I like Brent?

After class, I went to find Evan. I know what you're thinking. Why did I go find my bullies? Well, you know .. otherwise, he still found me and threatened me even further. In addition, I want to thank you properly for the new glasses. They were spacious but he took out his wallet as if it was nothing. It must be nice to be that rich guy.

He was leaning against the wall beside the fountain. His eyes sparkled when he saw me approaching. Who knows what he saved for me this morning?

"There's my little hamster! Long time," he said cheerfully.

I let out a breath. He never called me by my name.

"Thank you for buying me new glasses, no need" I said shyly.

"I'm the one who broke them, weird," he said and flicked my forehead.

"Yes, but still..." I looked down, rubbed my forehead.

"So, this means you owe me. Therefore, you can't stop being my personal servant," she grinned. "It wasn't my original plan to frame you by helping you, but it worked perfectly. Don't forget to bring my English PR tomorrow. Then you'll come after school and clean my room."

I breathed in defeat. There is no victory with this man. I could protest against everything I wanted, but in the end, I always did her request.

"By the way, are you hungry?" he asked me suddenly.

"Um .. no. .. I have to go to class now, can I go?" ask shy.

"good. Get out of here then. And don't forget to come after school. I'm not kidding about you cleaning my room. You want to pay me back, don't you? Or are you some sort of freeloader? " Evan looked at me sharply.

"I'll pay you back" I whispered.

"Good girl" he said and ruffled my hair.

Damn it. Now I have to fix my hair again.

Evan POV

Like for example, sometimes I bring extra food for lunch and make him eat it. Yes, for him, because otherwise he would just try to make up excuses and starve himself.

I don't think he has an eating disorder or anything, but there was one time he slipped and told me that his mother controlled the portion of his food. He's not allowed to have more than one chicken wing or anything like that. I think that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

The girl has lived skin and bones, why should she control her diet? So, I took it myself to fatten it up. She protested at first but eventually gave up because she was too afraid to say no to me.

Today, I brought him some chicken salad sandwiches and fries, his favorite.

My phone rang so I saw it.

I can't have lunch with you today, Annie sent me a message.

Who said you could make that decision? Bring your ass here, I replied angrily.

No. gabe. I won't let you control me! she said.

Ah does that little hamster grow some balls? I grinned. He was really against me and trying to quit so I guess he ended up getting tired of my bullshit. But I won't let him go that easy.

Little Hamster, if you don't bring your little self here now, I'll come looking for you and drag you out of school in front of everyone.

I'm waiting for a reply. I looked up when I heard footsteps, thinking it was him. It was just Portia. Portia and I were dating in 9th grade but we broke up because she thought I was a jerk. He's not wrong.

"Evan, hi" he said and smiled.

"What's up, Portia?" I asked casually and looked at my phone. There was still no answer from Elena.

"I just want to talk to you. You're hardly alone. The little girl in glasses is always with you" Portia complained.

"Elena? He's not dweeb. He was wearing those glasses because he couldn't see without those glasses" I said dismissively. Portia's already starting to bother me.

"Give up, I came here to tell you that I miss you. We have to get back together" Portia said sweetly.

"Huh? Butwhy? I thought you said I was too mean" I raised my eyebrows. "Otherwise, aren't you dating James?"

"No, I broke up with him. You're mean to me sometimes, but you also have moments. Like how you take care of me and sometimes you pay attention to what I want and get it for me" he said and gave me googly eyes.

Oh, I saw what happened. Portia missed all the expensive stuff I used to buy for her. I guess James didn't do it for him.******materialistic.

"Sorry Portia, but Evan's charity service is closed. You don't interest me anymore" I said.

"You don't have to say it like that!" he whines.

"Excuse me" I said and left. I need to find Elena.

I saw him sitting at a table outside the cafeteria with the face of a Brent squirrel. Since when did they get so close.

Brent was talking to her about something while she timidly twisted one of her braids. His cheeks were pink as he was blushing.

Oh, I understand what happened, the little hamster was in love. How dare he ignore me!

I thought about interrupting their little date but decided not to. He would come to my house after school to clean my room, so I would give him a third degree.
