EVERNA Ring of Fire

EVERNA Ring of Fire
WULANTRA Part 3

Although the buildings in the palace complex of Griyanagari not as complicated as the towers, actually this place is a kind of labyrinth that will almost certainly mislead anyone who enters it first without a guide. Moreover, with very tight guard in every corner and corridor of the palace, it was impossible for ordinary people to be able to infiltrate, let alone get out of this labyrinth without incident.

However, there are people who willfully jump over the roofs of buildings for the sake of the palace building in the darkness of the night, with very light steps like walking on clouds. Whether he's crazy, super-superb or both.

Wearing an all-black hood and robe, this slim man-like figure landed perfectly in one of the buildings on the outer layer of the palace complex, breaking through the ceiling.

Then, the man “tengger” in the wooden frame that runs across the ceiling of the building, seeing the atmosphere below. The cells look like cages lined up along the interior of the building. That is the temporary detention room in the palace for the defendants who are in court proceedings, or are awaiting execution of the death penalty.

However, not many inhabit those cells now. This happens because almost all crime cases are tried by royal judges, not prabu. And it could also be because the combination of Prabu Narendra's assertive performance and the wise Patih Galahasin makes all the heavy cases handled by the palace almost always complete quickly.

Two guards passed right under the hooded man. At the right moment, the intruder plunged down from the roof's support wood, landing seamlessly right behind the two soldiers.

“Hey, who is...?” Reflexes, the two guards turned around while swinging their spears. But the intruder was faster, spitting a kind of smoke right into the faces of the two guards. The smoke worked instantly, causing the two men to collapse to pile up on the floor, then sleep snoring.

“Hoi, what's going on? No chaos?” A male inmate inhabiting one of the cells approached the bars, his face hopefully anxious. But the intruder's plume of smoke also hit him, vaporizing the hope of freedom so limited to a mere dream.

The man in the black hood then took a series of keys from the body of one of the guards on the floor, then released them on one of the cells. “Arumi, prepare! You're free!” The man's voice is hissing, but loud enough for his interlocutor-to-be to hear.

“M... Mpu Galahasin?” Arumi gasped, recognizing the voice.

“Sst!” Mpu Galahasin tried the second approximate key, the fifth key from the other end of the series. It turned out that the lock could be fully rotated to one side, the iron-tested door squeaked and opened.

“K-you... set me free?” Arumi did not come out immediately, still worried about Galahasin's actions.

“Let's talk! Let's go before another guard comes!” sis Galahasin again, showing a white beard and some of the look of his face that wrinkles on Arumi.

“No, I don't want to go without them.”

“They are who?”

Arumi points to her “ one sel” friends who just joined. “Nirya and Sthira, of course.”

“If I refuse to release them?”

“But they will bring disaster to Antapada! Don't you love the people of Wulantra?”

“I feel more sorry for all the people of Antapada who lived like they died from war, like in this Wulantra!” sergeant Arumi. “But you can still save the people. After we leave, please warn the Prabu and as many good people as possible to leave this city quietly. Because if we are Islamic, you will avoid disaster and rebuild this city for the better than before.”

Mpu Galahasin shook his head. “No. The city of Wulantra has been damaged for a long time, marred by corruption, squalor and the effects of prolonged war. We will find a place for a new capital better, so that Jayandra becomes a more advanced country in all fields.” He then opened the door of Sthira cell opposite Arumi cell.

“Now, let's go!” Galahasin began to hurry, followed by Nirya, Sthira and Arumi. Not to forget they crippled some other guards and took back the confiscated weapons in the prison cellar. Then they ran straight towards the outer back gate of the Griyanagari Keraton complex.

Mpu Galahasin's eyes were then fixed on the front gate guarded by at least six soldiers armed with spears and machetes. He then said to the three young people, “Well, it's time for me to play as a distraction and part with you. One message for you, Arumi, and for all of you. The mission of popping these mountains is the craziest plan I've ever heard of. Nirya, Sthira, you have committed the greatest sin anyone has ever committed. And if you fail now, Jayandra and Swarnara will be destroyed in countries that are still strong, and it will be a much bigger sin.”

Nirya and Sthira were stunned. They may be listening to a repetition of something they already know. But the way Galahasin conveys it actually publishes a new understanding of the mission they are living.

Nirya, Sthira and now Arumi must not die, let alone give up halfway. Giving up or dying does not mean their mission is a failure, but it will also invite disasters that are more severe than volcanic eruptions and war. Precisely, it was a disaster called oppression and colonization of neighboring countries or foreign countries.

“Yeah, because now I've been considered a traitor Jayandra, inevitably I have to watch over, even help these fellow sinners. At least it's better than being put to death. Thank you very much, Mpu Galahasin.” Arumi smiled bitterly.

“Thank you to the Prabu who cares about you. Well, it's time for action.” While saying so, Mpu Galahasin took off his long black robe, wearing his daily work clothes as a patih aka prime minister.

Without waiting for Arumi's response, Galahasin ran towards the outer gatekeeper of the palace while exclaiming, “Gawat! The emergency! There are prisoners escaping from the palace prison! Follow me! We intercept and catch them!”

“Ready, train!” exclaim commander guard.

Perhaps because of overconfidence in Galahasin's words, all the soldiers who guarded the gate ran to follow Galahasin to the prison, of course passing through the path of the escapees.

At a glance Galahasin turned to one side, finding Arumi and his two colleagues had gone into hiding. Smart girl, her inner. Even the Mahesa was willing to open the way for the bearers of the disaster. Or is it possible that the Angkara is now at work and we have been used? The answer to all this is impossible in the near future. So the end result of my actions depends on the very heavy struggle that we will do later.

While continuing to run and set his eyes straight ahead, Galahasin back inward. Well, maybe this is the best. The young man might lose his charisma, his authority and his life, fall into a prolonged mourning if Arumi is not. And that would be a double disaster for Jayandra.

Even though you really deserve the death penalty tomorrow morning, I say this one more time. Good luck on this mission, Sthira, Nirya and Arumi. The fate of all Antapada is in your hands.

Description: Reference to Arumi's long-large dagger: Keris Nagaraja/Daga Sasra, with blades and handles that are 2-3 times longer.
