ETERNALLY

ETERNALLY
Chapter 4's

"Ahhhhh... Sarah is so old!"

The sun was beginning to sink and Sarah had not returned. Nanda kept asking, what did Sarah do this time?

"If my legs don't hurt, we can get out of here sooner. But... I was wondering, what's Sarah doing this time?"

Suddenly, a small stone hit Nanda's head. That made him look up. A person with a butterfly-shaped pendant just like himself was standing while smiling at him. Who else if not Sarah.

"Repid-k"

"Later to explain, welcome this rope."

A rope went down. Nanda seemed to be trying to understand what was happening. What happened while he was resting on the stone earlier? However, Nanda then held the rope and listened to Sarah's instructions. He then climbed the wall slowly assisted by a rope that Sarah gave him. Shortly thereafter, he got out.

"I'm sure your brain is full of questions."

I smiled at Nanda who was trying to figure out the exit I was using. He also seemed to see my body and also the two bikes that looked very clean.

"So so.. I only caught the incident after you came out. The rest is not."

"Hmm, appreciable. I'll explain it. You saw the plants and the garbage, right?"

"Yep, short but dense plants and piles of garbage that mostly contains plastic waste. Wait. don't tell me..."

"Yup."

Nanda looked back a few steps. Then he sat down on the side of the road and fell silent. Sometimes he looked at the gutter looking for what he was looking for. I smiled seeing him. Had his legs not hurt, Nanda would have run through this sewer. He looked at me seriously.

"That's impossible. I seem to know, but I need certainty. Explain it in detail, Sarah."

"Ok, as you know, I used those plants and garbage to get out."

"I know, but how can it be? Plastic is durable, it takes years to break down. That's why you wear plastic. But, the plastic you found is a type of Low Density Polyethylene. That plastic won't hold your body up."

"Yep, you're right. So I put some plastic together into one. Then I tied the plastic together to form a rope using the plant."

"It won't be strong. No matter how much plastic you use, it doesn't help. Did you use any other materials?"

"No. That's it."

"Impossible. At least you use other materials to get to the top. Strong material holds your body. I don't understand, it's not theoretical."

I smile. Nanda would not give up. He stays on his argument. Nanda is good at academics. Although still 5 years old, he has mastered various kinds of lessons until grade 6 Elementary School. This is because from a long time ago, Nanda always went to the Regional Library after school and spent time reading there.

Not only after school, during the holidays he still visited the library. In school, Nanda always ranked top for the whole class. He often won championships and was always ranked 1st or 2nd in a row.

Nanda is also known as a good and friendly murite. Therefore, he has many friends. Although as great as that, he sometimes lacks faith in the arguments of others. Sometimes he just thinks his argument is the most correct.

"You haven't explained in detail."

"Just be free I explained. You won't believe it either."

"Fines. I'll hear."

"Goodle. It does. The plastic won't hold my body. But, you can still do it another way. I threw the rope up until it was tied to a tree that happened to be on the edge of the gutter. I then tied my body tightly and walked backwards until the rope was stretched. After that I ran quickly and climbed the gutter for 2 seconds. Then.. I'm free."

"Hm... So you lose weight by running?"

"Yep."

"Why do you have to drag it, you just have to climb it. If you are worried about an injured hand, you can use plastic. For the bike, when you get to the top you look for a truss strap..."

"Hehe, you miss 1 thing. I can do that. But the rocks are too sharp. If I use you, I'm free. But bicycles? If I want the bike free too. I also have to make a rope out of the plastic, later I will carry it when I climb the wall. If I use all the plastic for the rope, what about my hand?"

"You're right. But why not go to my place? The rocks there you can climb, right? The rest is the way I use it."

"It can be done, but look at the basic condition of this sewer that is full of sharp rocks plus my sandals were damaged by the fall earlier. When I left you. I ran and my legs were hurt. I admit I was careless, I shouldn't have run. That's it."

We also fell silent. Soluble with each other's minds. It feels like an argument like this. But if they both get hurt...

"Sorry.."

"Ehh!?"

"I'm wrong, I keep bothering you to the point of getting hurt. You used to protect me from the people who bullied me. In the end, you are seriously injured. Excuse me... I'm just a burden. I should be grateful... Sorry..."

Tears began to wash his cheeks. Slowly, the tears came out. He kept apologizing to me. I smiled and pulled her body into my arms. I began to gently stroke her hair, trying to calm her troubled heart.

"It's okay, now you take a shower. I'm sorry I left you, too."

"Still sick?"

"Udah. I can walk."

We walked slowly because I knew that even though Nanda could walk, her legs still hurt. I know, he doesn't want to bother me anymore and tries to do something himself. I'm glad to hear it, because then my burden will decrease.

"You're really great, just like always, Sarah."

"No, you're the same. We are both considered magical children. But because of that, we are often taken advantage of."

"utilized?"

"Yep. Oh yeah, I didn't expect you to ask me about the drugs I bought. Logically, you know what it's for, right? This is one of your shortcomings. You know the function, but you don't dare to believe it until the moment it's used or you intentionally?"

"I don't understand what you're"

I went faster and stopped in front of him. Nanda seemed silent waiting for the answer he always listened to. The initially sad Nanda turned serious.

"You actually know, right? What's gonna happen. Am I wrong?"

Nanda speechless. He just lowered his head. I smiled at the plan he had devised that had failed miserably. I approached him and whispered in his ear.

"You planned it from the beginning, right?your acting is pretty good. I'm amazed... I want to see again, how irate you are with me."

"Since when do you know!"

I smile. I laughed a little at his incredulous reaction.

I admit, the plan to get rid of me was pretty good. But unfortunately, I knew it from the beginning.

"I knew it from the beginning. Even before the bike race that was just engineered this. You're so jealous of me, aren't you? Because you could say we are friends and rivals. I didn't think you'd do anything this close. But don't worry, I won't tell you this any luck. All your rotten plans I'll keep. We remain friends. No matter how envious even you hate me."

"Jleb" Nanda could only swallow. Everything he said was true. Now, he can no longer play. Because Sarah knows everything. Nanda's body let out cold sweat and his body also shook violently. All plans failed completely.

I then approached him, he seemed to bow his head again. I grabbed her chin and pulled her so she could look at me. I stared intently at both of his eyeballs.

"No matter what plan you make. I'm not gonna get in the way. I will not forbid you to envy or even hate me. I don't care about the plans you've made, even the dangerous ones. But remember one thing. No matter how perfect or how dangerous your plan may be, you won't succeed in hurting me let alone killing me."

I then let go. He still looks scared. I smiled at him.

I'm waiting for your next plan.

"Why didn't you stop me!? I'm trying to.."

"Kill me? I'm not gonna do that. It's delightful. It was like being in the Survival Game. Continue your role, this is only our secret." I turned around and continued my journey.

"But why don't you hate me!?"

I was silent, I was confused as to what to answer. I don't know why I can't hate him. Maybe because I think it's fun. Ja.. It's delightful.

"Because it's fun, somehow I'm your best friend."

Nanda was silent, tears were flowing. This time it wasn't the fake tears she let out. He kept wondering.

"I... evil and you. accept it? You still think I'm a friend?"

He said that while sobbing. He doesn't believe in this. I then hugged him. Nanda was crying. He seemed sorry to have done it. I try to keep entertaining him. But I realized, a single tear came out of my left eye.

Wh why? Because I love you

You are very precious to me

I don't care if you try to get rid of me or kill me
