Chapter 13 The Death of Life 1

"What are you, Ndra. I remember you from a long time ago. Mom's leaving tomorrow."

Marisda's anger returned when what she wanted could not be fulfilled by Andra.

Andra looked down sluggishly, "Patience, Mom. Another week Andra's payday."

"Tok another week! I'm leaving the day after tomorrow, Ndra! Emang your salary on where to run out so do not be too wasteful if shopping" said Marisda angry.

"Mother wonder since you got married you become stingy and calculation like this Mother. Just married your ATM directly in change, but all this time your salary is safe-safe aja Mother who holds even your savings quite a lot. Now a penny you have no savings." And then again with emotion.

Marisda said angrily without giving Andra a chance to speak. Marisda then went home without saying hello.

Regina wept hearing the conversation of her mother-in-law and husband from inside the room while breastfeeding Algi, hearing Andra's footsteps heading to Regina's room hurriedly wipe away her tears.

Andra sat on the edge of the bed against Regina, her hands massaging her heavy head. After Algi falls asleep, Regina hugs Andra from behind.

Regina covered Andra's mouth with her hands. "That's not papa."

Andra pulled Regina's hand and twisted her body before her and hugged Regina tightly.

"Enough, Mom. Ndra, you better be home by night. Poor Regina and Algi alone, you must be tired all day working" said Marlon, Mr. Andra.

"Yes be careful, son." said Marlon again.

"Mom, Andra go home first." Andra said to her mother.

"Hem." said his mother briefly.

"Mom. I should remember, don't over-exert Mom's will to Andra. Andra already has a family that must be financed and in his living, Andra can not fulfill all the wishes of Mother as before. Moreover, Algi just got out of the hospital, of course they do not have money." Marlon's advice to his wife.

Andra Baldy and Adrina are married. Baldy's son is the same age as Algi only two days apart while Adrina's third sister Andra despite his young age but already has two children who are first four years old and the second is older a month by Algi. Adrina graduated from Junior High when she got married.

Andra's fourth sister is in the first grade of Junior High and her youngest sister is still in the sixth grade of elementary school. Andra still had an old Grandma, only her Grandmother and Father-in-law were good to Regina.

His grandmother was very good, Regina actually wanted to chat with Grandma Andra but unfortunately, Regina did not understand what was said by Grandma Andra because she could not use Indonesian. Regina does not speak the Andra language.

So when he chatted with Grandma Andra, Andra was the one who faithfully accompanied to be the translator for Regina and Grandma.

Marlon, his father-in-law is also kind. But a little quiet and more succumbing to his wife. Marisda was back from the market, Regina immediately came out to help carry the groceries and put them in the kitchen.

"You don't go to bed, let's help others cook in the kitchen don't be guests in this house" Marisda told Regina.

Regina cries silently while putting Algi to sleep, her heart is sad that Algi must be hated by her in-laws.

Regina stroked the crowns of Algi. "Patience, Son. Hopefully someday Grandma can love Algi."

After Algi sleeps Regina is busy helping her in-laws cook in the kitchen alone, while Adrina and Mely fall asleep while putting their child to sleep.

"Don't wake up, pity Mely's tiredness." - Marisda scolded when Baldy was about to wake Mely up.

In the evening Regina and Mely are busy preparing everything for Andra's family who come home. While Adrina accompanied her mother to chat and distribute souvenirs for the family who came.

After all the family came home, Regina and Mely cleaned up the trash and dirt that was scattered everywhere. Regina collected the dirty dishes and put them in the laundry.

"Tomorrow in the wash, it's night." said Marisda.

"Well, Mom." nodded Regina.

The next morning Regina woke up early to clean up the remaining dirt after finishing she continued by washing dishes in the kitchen.

"So no." said Marla Andra's sister.

"No more washing dishes, Deck." said Regina.

"May I help." asked Marla.

"May, come here." Call Regina.

Shortly after the sound of plates breaking on the floor, Marisda ran into the kitchen and rounded her eyes full of anger.
