DRAGON EMPEROR

DRAGON EMPEROR
CHAPTER 50 Gift Giving

In the Vermillion Bird Hall, all the newly accepted apprentices gathered on the training field.

Other than Xie Kuang, the guiding elder, there were several Vermillion Bird Hall elders and Silver-robed elders on the stage.

A wide smile was engraved on the faces of each elder.

“We will not present you with your identity jade piece. Your personal information and your sect contribution points will be on your identity jade piece. You can use jade pieces for your transaction if you need to use your sect contribution points.”

There was a piece of jade in the hands of the Silver-robed Elder. He continued, “Although our overall results were not good, Lu Ming managed to emerge as an Apprentice Champion for the first time after eight long years. He brought glory to the Vermillion Bird Hall, so this time, we at the Vermillion Bird Hall will award him 2,000 sect contribution points in addition to his original reward of 5,000 sect contribution points and Spirit Condensing Fruit. Come claim your reward, Lu Ming.”

As soon as the elder was done, all eyes were on Lu Ming. Some gazes were envious, some were jealous, some were full of admiration.

Among them, Yin Kai's eyes were filled with hatred. Only he knew what he was doing as his eyes continued to look around.

Lu Ming walked over to receive his identity jade piece and another jade box.

As his consciousness sank into the piece of jade, a line of words appeared before him.

Lu Ming: 15, citizens of Fire Wind City. The bronze apprentice of the Vermillion Bird Hall, Mystical Sword Sect.

Where to Stay: Room 1, Page 29.

Sect Contribution Points: 7,000

The information was very complete and their residences were clearly marked. Inside that jade box was a Spirit Condensing Fruit.

“Thank you, Elder!” Lu Ming cupped his fists while saluting, then he got off the stage.

The other apprentices gathered their identity jade pieces.

After everyone was done, they parted ways and Lu Ming walked to the Vermillion Bird Peak.

The majestic Vermillion Bird Peak stood upright behind the clouds.

Forests and wilderness covered the peak. With all the beauty of flora and fauna found in this forest, it feels like a paradise of the world.

In the middle of the peak, there was a space filled with countless beautiful courtyards. This was the dormitory for the Vermillion Bird Hall's apprentices.

'The spiritual energy here is very rich and dense! At least several times thicker than the general internship area. No wonder everyone was struggling to become a bronze disciple.

'I heard that the silver apprentice disciples, some elders and hall masters lived closer to the mountain peak and the spiritual energy there was even thicker than it is now.'

Lu Ming pondered as he walked towards his residence.

His page was numbered on the door, so he found page 29 very quickly. It had a fairly spacious courtyard with a terrace for martial arts cultivation in the middle. There are also three rooms.

The room in the middle is numbered “1” while the other rooms are numbered 2 and 3 respectively.

Lu Ming walked to room 1 where a simple bed scene and a table greeted him. It was a very simple arrangement. There was a booklet on the table explaining the basic guidelines and happenings of the Mystic Sword Sect and the Blazing Sun Empire.

After flipping through it, Lu Ming put away the booklet. He walked out the door when he heard footsteps approaching.

He gawked towards Lu Ming and quickly became overjoyed. “Senior brother Lu Ming, you are also assigned on page 29. Haha, that's good. We will be housemates now!” The fat young man chuckled.

Lu Ming smiled faintly and said, “You are too kind, Brother. How do I call you?”

“My name is Pang Shi. I am a hunter from SeaFront City, ”the fat young man introduced himself enthusiastically.

From his brief introduction, Lu Ming understood that Pang Shi was the son of a hunting family in SeaFront City and he was supernaturally powerful. Ever since he awakened his blood meridians when he was 14 years old, his family sent him to the Mystic Sword Sect to be tested and registered. Pang Shi was successfully accepted, and he had passed the test to become a bronze disciple.

Looking at this hunter child, Lu Ming thought that Pang Shi was more than what it looked like because it was not easy for a normal hunter's child to register and pass a new apprenticeship test at once.

“I'm a bit stupid, so please take me around, Senior Brother Lu Ming,” Pang Shi said as he scratched the back of his head.

“Did you ask him to take you around? I think it would be better if you got along with me.”

A green-robed and handsome-looking young man walked in from the terrace. This skinny young man was white with long, narrow eyes. He had an aura of wild wildness surrounding him.

The green-robed youth entered and mocked Lu Ming without warning, “Remember this, Lu Ming. My name is Hua Chi. You being the Apprentice Champion means nothing here. Since we are both new to the Mystical Sword Sect, I will surpass you in a year.”

“Stupid starry-eyed? What a strange name,” Pang Shi replied in surprise, ignoring whatever Hua Chi said.

The green-robed youth became stiff. “What are you talking about, you stupid clown? My name is Hua Chi, Hua Chi! Not a star-eyed fool.”

“That's still stupid, isn't it, Senior Brother Lu Ming?” Confused, Pang Shi scratched the back of his head in confusion.

Lu Ming could not help but laugh, “You were right, Pang Shi. I've also heard of starry-eyed fools.”

“You... you are a villager! Just wait and see! My name, Hua Chi, will shake the entire Mystic Sword Sect and even the entire Empire of the Scorching Sun in no time!”

Confidence radiated in Hua Chi's eyes as she walked into room 2 panting heavily, ignoring Lu Ming and Pang Shi.

Lu Ming smiled and excused himself from Pang Shi to return to his room as well.

Since reaching the Master Realm, Lu Ming's cultivation had increased as he constantly devoured essences. However, it caused his foundation to slightly falter and his Essential Qi to be stained and impure.

He had to stop and take the time to establish his base and cultivate his Essential Qi.

A shaky foundation is a big problem that will affect the progress of its cultivation in the future. This would prevent Lu Ming from breaking through to the next level, and his cultivation journey would come to a halt.

Even having Word Blood Meridians devouring Spirits to devour more essences would be futile.

Lu Ming trained the True War Dragon Technique and the Typhoon Qi in his dantian revolved steadily, creating a small stream of dragon-shaped Essential Qi, which flowed through his meridians, repeatedly purifying the impurities in his Essential Qi.

After six hours, Lu Ming opened his eyes.

'My cultivation will be stronger and consolidated within ten days if this continues. Then, I will proceed to the Second Stage True War Dragon Technique. My advantage in the Master Realm is reduced. I can only gain higher combat strength if I reach the Second Stage in my cultivation of the True War Dragon Technique.

'Aside from the Blood Mist Stone, I have two of the three essential ingredients required in the Second Stage True War Dragon Technique. I will go to the Contribution Hall in two days and see if they have the Blood Mist Stone,’ Lu Ming mused.

He pondered what happened in the test. Then, he came to a conclusion about his flaws and determined the direction of his cultivation going forward.
