Xavier watched Cassidy silently. When the girl introduced herself earlier, Xavier inwardly smiled sadly. How much did Cassidy hate herself until she pretended she didn't recognize him?

The first thing Xavier noticed from the change of his best friend was his short shoulder-length hair. Her long straight hair was now short.

As far as he was concerned, nothing had changed from his best friend. Cassidy's body that was once thin is now more contained. He now also had body curves that were where they should be.

"Yeah, Xav. What was the name of Elo's girlfriend? Well, what's his name, I didn't get a chance. She came here too? If yes, know dong with elo's favorite cousin. I'd like to see you, Xav. I want to see what it looks like, the guy who—"

"He's not here, Ad." sidelines Xavier quickly.

"Not here? She didn't come?"

Adrian's question made Xavier feel doused in cold water. He glanced his eyes at his ex-girlfriend. Xavier sees Cassidy ringing his lower lip and pretends to observe the people around him. Xavier knew that when Cassidy bit her lip, she was either nervous or thinking about something.

Cassidy was uncomfortable with Adrian's question just now.

'Xavier's girlfriends? Who?' Inner guessed.

"Hm. He can't come. Suddenly there was some business he had to take care of. I'm alone, Ad. Who is the same elo?" Reply Xavier gave an excuse, also half want to ensure Adrian's relationship with the woman who is in front of him now.

The first person Xavier told Adrian was Cassidy. Before Cassidy approached them, Adrian asked her.  Does Xavier want Adrian to know Adrian's girlfriend? However, Xavier replies that he also has a female friend. So Adrian didn't have to introduce his girlfriend to him. When Adrian wants to ask her what her name is and where the woman is, Cass' appearance makes them both stop their chat.

"Gue came with Cassidy, my date. You're an acquaintance, right?" Adrian replied smiling while embracing Cassidy's shoulder.

From the way Adrian looked at Cassidy, Xavier was able to catch something. And that made him dislike it.

He knows very well that Cassidy is not Adrian's 'flavor of the week. He knew the meaning of his cousin's gaze. Oh hell, he knew the meaning of Adrian's gaze because honestly until now, Xavier was also unbeknownst to others still staring at Cassidy with the same gaze as the fist Adrian gave the woman.

"You guys dating?" Without Xavier noticing, He had already said what he wanted to ask out loud.

"former."

"A little while."

Cassidy and Adrian answer Xavier simultaneously. The first was Cassidy's answer and the next was Adrian's half-wishing answer. 

Hearing Adrian's answer, Cassidy subconsciously hit Adrian's arm. Xavier didn't know which one surprised him more. Adrian's answer or Cassidy's answer. To be sure the answers of the two people managed to make Alex's feelings become unwarranted. While Cassidy and Adrian were joking around, Xavier instead watched them with an unpredictable look.

"Gue lived a long time ago, Xav. Nyokap call me tuh." explained Adrian to Xavier then he beat Cassidy. "And you, Cass. You're here with Xavier. Nemenin he ngborol. I'll just come back here." Adrian said Cass was awakened from his mind who was planning how to kill the man.

As soon as Adrian left Cassidy alone with Xavier, suddenly the atmosphere and atmosphere between them both became awkward.

Cassidy chose to look at what was around her rather than have to stare and look at Xavier. Xavier did not know what to say to the woman in front of him. Everything he wanted to say for 9 years they didn't meet, for some reason, he couldn't say.

Xavier occasionally glanced at Cass without saying anything. Seeing the girl continue to bite her lips, Xavier's heart felt uneasy. Finally, a weak sigh escaped his lips. He caught the girl and opened his mouth.

"Don't bite your lips."

"Huh?"

"Don't bite your lips."

"Ah.." immediately, Cassidy immediately released her bite from her lips.

"Aren't you comfortable with me?" xavier asked, frowning his forehead.

"Huh? No, no." replied Cassidy quickly while using body language with his hands.

"How long have you known Adrian?" Xavier's question shifted their conversation.

"Three years." Answer Cassidy briefly.

After that, the two of them did not spit out any words. The silence was repeated between them.

To be honest, Xavier hated their situation. Their topics and talking materials used to be, never ending. There are only those who suspect them. From little things like their childhood to their dreams, all of them are talked about. But now, 50 words might not be enough to count on all the talk they've just had.

Cass finally ventured to ask Xavier the question he had been wanting to ask.

"Xavier's.."

"Call me Xavi. Just like you used to call before, Di." Not done yet Cass finished his words, Xavier had already cut it first.

"Xavi's? In?"

Xavier's words made Cass laugh in his heart. A regular? Ever before? Something that is ordinary, if over time it is not often used anymore, whether it is an item or something, over time it will also feel strange and become unfamiliar.

"Before? What did you mean before, Xavier? Before we split up? Before you left me? Or before you hurt me and dumped me without any explanation? " Reply Cass while looking at Xavier in tears.

Xavier was speechless. He did not expect his words would open the wound that Cassidy had long closed.
