Doctor Steven's Charm
59 - Mother's Hugs

"Mother sure they're staying at this hotel?" tanya Rimba hesitated, when both of them were in front of one of the five-star hotels in South Jakarta.

"Yes sure" said Vania. "We go in and ask the receptionist," he asked as he pulled Rimba's hand.

Vania finally asked the receptionist. Sure enough, the name Akiyo Farayaka was recorded as one of the guests at the hotel. The receptionist's mother also told Akiyo's room number, after she contacted him via the intercom that there were people who wanted to meet her.

"Room 1025, right?" said Vania after stopping right in front of the door of the hotel room that has the number.

Rimba just nodded in response. Without hesitation, Vania knocked on the door. Before long the door opened, Akiyo greeted the two with a smile.

"Did our arrival bother you?" said Vania. Yesterday Akiyo asked him to come.

"Of course not, please come in!" said the woman who still looks beautiful even though she is not young anymore.

"Where's Rimiko?" vania asked as she spread her gaze across the room.

"Ah, Rimiko's in the other room. We don't live together" Akiyo said.

"You sleep in a room this big?" vania asked idly and immediately got a blink of an eye from the Jungle, hinting that the bunda was too kepo.

Akiyo laughed softly. "No, I'm with my husband of course" he said.

Vania immediately gasped, she felt so proud and unkind. 'What if her husband is inside? or maybe in the bathroom?' inner guessing.

"Calm down, my husband is no more. He flew to Tokyo first last night" Akiyo said as if he could read Vania's mind. Both of his eyes had been watching Rimba who looked so cold. Was he not happy to meet the mother who had brought him into this world?

"Oh that's it," muttered Vania relieved.

Meanwhile, Rimba's eyes caught two suitcases of clothes and a handbag in the corner of the room. 'Did he check out?' inner asked.

The look on Rimba's face suddenly became grim. He was not aware, there was sadness that perched in the bottom of his heart. Sad because he doesn't understand anything.

Akiyo approached Rimba, he sat down next to her and gave Rimba something from her palm.

"What's this?" rimba asked slowly, he was forced to make eye contact with Akiyo.

"Get it, it's for you."

Without saying anything Rimba then took the small object from Akiyo's hand. The beautiful white butterfly-shaped thing looks very beautiful. "Hairpairs?" rimba muttered while observing the back of it which turned out to be a hairpin.

"This hairpins that you often use when you were a child first" said Akiyo.

"Really?" Rimba began to respond to Akiyo with the twinkle of her eyes that were initially cold so warm.

"Yes, I keep it for one day I can give to you," replied Akiyo lirih, then took back the hairpin from the hands of Rimba and wore it in the hair of the daughter she had long missed. "Beautiful" he murmured and smiled.

Rimba was silent, he was only able to smile without being able to express all his heart to the figure of the biological mother in front of him.

"May I hug you?" akiyo said that successfully made Rimba blink shocked and confused.

Rimba finally hugged Akiyo, so tightly. Their hugs can be a powerful way to communicate their feelings to each other. There are no words that Rimba wants to express anymore than gratitude because he was given the opportunity to get close and embrace the woman who had given him to the world. Rimba has given everything, he no longer feels disappointed because of their dishonesty to him so far. He also no longer felt discouraged because he felt he considered himself an unlucky child and was abandoned by his biological mother.

"Mother," said Rimba to call Akiyo. "Thank you" he said again.

Akiyo rubbed Rimba's face gently, "It should be the mother who is grateful," he said.

They miss each other through hugs. This time the jungle could not hold back her tears. He was crying in the arms of his biological mother.

Vania who witnessed it was also moved while shedding tears. He felt relieved, the burden of his heart was now released, even with his fear of losing the jungle finally not proven. Rimba has now become a mature woman who is wise enough to face every challenge of life.

Before long someone knocked on the door, Akiyo immediately opened the door of her room. The man turns out to be the rental driver who will take Akiyo to the airport.

"I have to leave now" said Akiyo.

"Will you go back to Tokyo?" ask Rimba.

"Yes, I'm sorry son. There is a lot of work waiting for you there," said Akiyo, once again he hugged the Jungle as a farewell hug. Then alternately hugging Vania, he did not forget to tell Vania that Rimiko wanted to stay with him for a few days before she returned to Paris.

Vania looks so happy, she always opens the door to Rimiko whenever she wants.

"Where is Rimiko now? is he going to take you to the airport?" ask Vania.

Akiyo laughed. "Rimiko is not the type of person who is too attentive like that" he said.

Rimba and Vania looked at each other for a while. Not understanding what Akiyo meant just now.

"You'd better go home, don't take me to the airport. This is not a farewell, we will definitely meet often" said Akiyo.

"But I just want to take you to the airport."

"No need for the jungle. Later, if the holidays come to Tokyo. There are many stories that I want to share with you" Pinta Akiyo.

Rimba finally nodded and smiled, "Okay, sometime I and Brother Steven will visit to see mom."

"Mother wait, yes" said Akiyo happily, then her gaze turned to Vania. "I'm putting kids on you, Vania."

Vania smile. "You don't worry, they are also my children" he said sincerely.

Shortly after, Akiyo left. Likewise with Rimba and Vania who decided to go home after Akiyo insisted that they do not take her to the airport.

When we hug a child, always be the last one to let go. We never know how long they need it.
