Doctor Steven's Charm

Doctor Steven's Charm
17 - Stay at home Mother Part I

The morning sun shot out lightly, piercing through the thin curtains that protected the bedroom windows. The jungle shuffled small from its position on a very foreign bed in the middle of the room.

"Eheem", Rimba cleared her dry throat as her eyes slowly opened. His hand grabbed his face and rubbed it lightly, then he rubbed his eyes at a glance.

The girl was now sitting with a sweeping look at every corner in the room. "Which is I here?" his murmur was trying to dig out a seemingly faint memory. The memory of yesterday's sacred events makes the Jungle a little panicked. "Oh my God, am I really married now?" he said as if he still did not believe in his new status.

Soon Rimba immediately went down from his bed, hurried to the bathroom to wash his face and brush his teeth. After that he rushed out of the room towards the kitchen. The girl remembered the message of the Mother that the first task of a wife in the morning is to prepare breakfast for the husband. Rimba was forced to carry out the task because now it is his duty.

"Are you awake, Rim?" greet Steven when Rimba nongol just in front of him. Rimba felt bad even Steven who was busy in the kitchen making breakfast.

"What's Steve cooking?" Rimba asked back as his eyes looked at the small pot on the stove that lit up with a small blue flame.

Steven did not rush to answer. The man was still busy rummaging through the contents of the pot using a spoon. After it was ripe then he turned off the stove and took 2 bowls that have been prepared, then poured it

"Chematic chicken mushroom soup. Let's have breakfast!" steven said as he carried the two bowls of creamy soup onto the dining table.

Without hesitation Rimba immediately tasted her husband's cooking. "Lumayan, but-" he said not until the heart continues the sentence.

"It's not good, is it?" terka Steven loudly saw the expression of the Jungle.

"Filling salinity" Rimba shuddered, "But that's okay, I happen to be a laper. So food with any taste will taste good", said Rimba again sipping soup cream made by Steven which in fact is delicious. But Rimba refused to admit it.

"Then anyway? the feeling was I tried to fit the taste," said Steven immediately tried it from his own bowl. "Drink first! do not get dehydrated," he asked while thrusting a glass that had just filled mineral water.

"I just woke up Sir, not out of sport," protested Rimba but still sipped the glass given by her Husband.

"Your tongue tastes salty, right? Dehydration is one of the causes. When the body lacks fluids, the levels of salt and water in the body become unbalanced to cause saliva to taste saltier, so the food that tastes right you say salty," obviously Steven while back sipping his homemade cream soup from his spoon.

"But I'm not dehydrated,"

"Oh means you're malnourished. Severe malnutrition can result in a sudden salty tongue," Steven increasingly aggressively prank his wife. Salah himself Rimba who first look for problems.

"Hish, haphazardly!" Rimba snorted in annoyance.

"Udah chepet eat! it'll be a little bad we go to the mother's house."

"really? we're going to Mother's house?" rimba's reflexes were immediately jubilant after getting a nod of the head from Steven. Rimba's cute face was so bright, then for the first time gave a sweet smile to Steven who sat in front of him. The same smile that hasn't changed since 15 years ago.

"Before we stopped by my sister's house! today Grandpa wants to go home to Pangandaran."

"Oh, I think grandpa's coming home in a few days" said Rimba.

"Yes, I think so, too, but I don't know if Grandpa likes that impromptu guy."

"Oh, yes it's okay, later on our breakfast is ready," said Rimba spirit. "By the way we do nginep right at home mommy?" her door.

"Evening but yes. Tomorrow we have to get back to our usual routine. You started the exam Monday, right?" steven said, and got a nod of assent from Rimba. "Abisin used to be the soup!" the man's orders of attention.

They continued their breakfast again. Rimba who initially said the cream soup was salty, but he himself was the most greedy, even to increase twice.

Steven who saw it immediately frowned, "Some salinity, but doyan" he said.

The jungle doesn't immediately understand it. He finished off the rest of his soup that was only a few spoons away. "I'm laper sir, uh brother" Ralat Rimba after his soup bowl was completely exhausted.

***

They arrived at Vania's house in the afternoon, because before Rimba and Steven stopped at Mitha's house.

"Don't tell me Rimba is here" Vania said immediately suspicious. Remembering Rimba who yesterday insisted on asking to go home after his wedding.

"Neither Bun, I happened to have sent my grandfather to the airport" Steven said, protecting his wife.

"where is Grandpa Hermawan going?" ask Vania.

"Go back to Pangandaran" Steven said.

"Is there a direct flight from Jakarta to Pangandaran?"

"There is Bun, proof that grandfather can go home to Pangandaran using a plane," said Rimba.

"Ooh," Vania nodded. Then asked his son and daughter-in-law to enter when the Maghrib prayer was gathered at the Al hidayah mosque near his house.

.

"So this is your room?" steven said as he circulated his gaze to every corner of the room belonging to the jungle which was smaller than the room in Steven's house.

"Why? ugly huh?"

"I'm not the one who said yes," said Steven then his gaze diverted to a picture frame displayed on the study table. "Here you as a child?" he asked while lifting the 5R photo frame into the air.

"I can't possibly put up a photo of someone else here" said Rimba as usual ketus. "That's my picture when I was SD" he said.

"Mistake no mistake, you're the little girl," muttered Steven smiling faintly.

"Why?" asked Rimba who heard the murmur from her husband although it was not clear.

"You used to live in Tokyo, right?" ask Steven and then save the picture frame back to its original place.

"Huh?" Rimba was even widened. "your question is an insult to me," he said later, feeling offended. The jungle used to hate people who always compare financial problems. And Steven's question he just took as a subtle allusion to him and his family.

Steven frowned, not understanding the meaning of his wife's sentence just now. Really, I swear by anything Steven doesn't mean anything. He just wants to make sure of what he believes.

"I come from a mediocre family, let alone travel to Tokyo, outside the island of Java I never. Farthest to Jatim Park in Malang, even when studying tour after high school first" said Rimba honestly.

'Really?' Steven stunned. He did not believe the words of the jungle. Is that a short memory of his girl's childhood? or maybe something has happened to him that made him lose some of his childhood memories? I don't know, maybe it's good for Steven to ask Vania directly to make sure everything.
