Divine Protection: The Pride System

Divine Protection: The Pride System
Episode 43: Fatal Error

Somewhere dark and shabby.

“Sister, you want to go again?” Ask a little girl who has slightly dirty waist-brown hair.

The man who was the older brother of the little girl turned his body towards his sister who was pulling her clothes.

He looked like a man who was already in his twenties, had bright brown hair with dark brown irises. He was currently wearing a sullied robe that covered his appearance.

He was a man by the name of Sudrim Tolekas

“You don't have to worry. I'll be back here again.” Sudrim said as he patted his sister's head, his face smiling faintly.

He smiled thinly, so thin that it looked like a fake smile he made just to fool his sister.

However, it seemed that his sister was unaware of that. She lowered her head sadly, and resignedly listened to her brother's words, “Alright, I understand.”

“Good, you're a good boy.” Said Sudrim stroking his sister's head. To be honest, he also feels guilty, but he has to go, “Alright, then I go first.”

Her sister nodded slowly, “Be careful, sister, dadah.” Said the sister while waving her hand gloomily.

Sudrim did not reply to her, he just walked over without turning his head in the slightest towards his little sister.

He had a job he had to do, all for the sake of supporting his sister. All to support both of them.

Because they were only alone, so he had to do it alone.

He had to be alone to support his family, so, even though he fell into a perverse path. Sudrim Tolekas doesn't care!

With a different look on his face from the one he had previously shown by his sister, Sudrim carefully walked into the forest. It was late afternoon, but the forest was still as dark as it was at night.

But, since Sudrim already knew which way he should go. He doesn't need any lighting at all.

As he continued walking and walking, he finally saw the light. It was a light from a night lantern.

There Sudrim could see some silhouettes of someone, they were about eight people, no, maybe nine.

Without any hesitation, Sudrim approached the place, but he remained cautious of the surroundings. Since he was inside the forest, he was afraid of demonic beasts attacking him.

“Oi, Sudrim, you're late!” Shouted one who was near the light of the lantern, or rather, he was the one holding the lantern.

Hearing the voice of his friend's cry, Sudrim quickened his footsteps, “Yes well, I'm sorry. There was an important affair earlier.” Sudrim said, making a fake smile.

“Hah! All right, but, no one's following you, right?” Ask his other friend with a sharp look.

“Take it easy. I'm not followed by anyone, Joe.” Sudrim replied, he mentioned the name of his friend.

Joe has orange hair, he has wrinkles on his face, maybe he's about thirty.

By the way, they were all a bandit group. Sudrim was one of them, he made money by robbing others of their wealth.

Of course this job he hid from his little sister. He didn't want his family to know that he was a bandit.

“So, what today we will do?” Sudrim asked, he asked Joe who was beside him.

Joe glanced slightly at Sudrim, he snorted in annoyance, and replied, “Well, we'll do it. This time it looks like our prey is quite large.”

Hearing that, Sudrim frowned, “Wait, then, why are there only ten people here?”

“I don't know either, it looks like the boss is thinking about something. He broke our group into parts.” Joe replied, almost looking upset.

“That means this time we will do a siege yes.” Sudrim nodded after muttering that, continuing to stare at Joe again, “What about our prey this time?”

Hearing Sudrim ask continuously, it made Joe click his tongue, “Tch! Well, it looks like on the enemy side there are only three people.”

“Hah?!” Sudrim was surprised, his eyes widened, “Are they traders? Did they hire guards? Satupun?”

“Hah! Where do I know! You better look at it yourself!” Shouted Joe who could not hold back his anger anymore.

It jolts Sudrim, but, he soon recovers himself and wins the already angry Joe.

After that they went to their respective groups and chatted with each other about the treasures they would get if successful and what kind of entertainment they would find.

However, since his opponent's times were only three people they were not very hopeful with his entertainment.

Well, entertainment, I mean a woman, they want to entertain their lust. Sudrim is uncomfortable when they have reached to the discussion about it.

But, he pretended not to look too suspicious.

Because after all, he himself could not comment on his friend, if he himself was also one of them.

As they continued to chat, the night had already come. The moon hangs above the night sky along with a sea of stars.

When, in the forest with no illumination at all, Sudrim and his companions quietly walked towards their target.

There they clearly saw a light, it was a light from a blazing bonfire.

And he could clearly see the three silhouettes sitting around the bonfire, but, because they were wearing robes, Sudrim could not see clearly the look of their faces.

But he's not interested in that. His eyes, or rather, the eyes of all the bandits were fixed towards the carriage that looked extremely luxurious with a golden flower pattern.

—{Maybe they are nobles, but, it feels like something is awkward.}, thought Sudrim carefully.

While his other friends have been filled with greed and burning lust.

They all looked like ferocious beasts that were already impatiently eating his prey that was now before him.

Everyone was hiding behind a bush encircling their group of prey.

This was the siege plan to carry out the impromptu attack their boss had thought of.

In the corner of Sudrim's eyes, he could see his boss who had a terrifying face that was secretly giving away cues for them to start attacking.

In that instant, Sudrim's heart skipped a beat, he was terrified, because they were about to do something bad.

Not strange, if in their group later there will be casualties and maybe the victim is himself.

He was afraid of death. He still had a family waiting for him to come home, he didn't want to die here.

—{Stranquilize, this time the opponent is only three people. Must be fine.} Sudrim's thought calmed his heart and mind.

After that all of a sudden, their boss gave them all the signals to attack, “SERANGGG—!!!”

“RAAARRGGGHHHH—!!” Everyone shouted very loudly and ran towards the three people they were targeting.

However, since Sudrim was too focused on himself, he could not keep up with the wave of momentum of his friends.

He was late to react, but, he was lucky.

Because in any case—

“Yeah, you guys are really rough. Can you wait a minute.”

—They have chosen the wrong opponent.

As the bandits lunged into the three groups with a loud shouting sound. At the same time, two voices appeared.

It was the voice of a woman. Of course, it had made the bandits even more excited and excited.

However, it was not for Sudrim. He just watched and kept quiet. He couldn't believe what he saw.

He even forgot to breathe, his eyes did not blink even as he started watching his friends one by one die being slashed by the darkness .

“AAAARRRRGGGGGHHHH—!!!”

The death scream of his friend made his body unable to tremble in fear.

“AARRRGGGHHHH—!!! W-WHAT HAPPENED?!”

Everything went awry, something black and dark emerged from one of the three groups, he had a small body, maybe his sister was taller than him.

The darkness fell on his friends and mutilated their bodies one by one, their legs cut into three pieces.

Their bodies are cut vertically making internal organs from the intestines until their brains are scattered everywhere.

Their hands were cut to pieces from finger to shoulder, the darkness seemed to be enjoying it as he cut the human body into pieces.

“SIAL SHIT!! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?! WHO EXACTLY ARE YOU GUYS?!”

“I have no answer for a rude man like you.” Said one of the three groups, his voice so warm and smooth as if he was caressing your ears.

You can also see a nice arch of the body from under her black cloak, it's obvious she must be a woman.

But, a moment later something came out from under his cloak that made everyone scream in fear.

“E-EEEEEKKKK?!! W-WHAT IS IT?!” Shouted one of the bandits with trembling.

“Can't you see the beauty of these nine tails? Haha, you ugly pig.”

Although Sudrim could not see the expression of the woman. He was sure that now he must be smiling mocking our stupidity.

Because the nine tails that dance behind him it looks as if insulting the entire existence of the lowly that is around the place—Para Bandit.

That one tail poked the heads of the bandits and slammed them into the ground violently. Such violence continues.

They were sometimes hit and knocked into trees to make them vomit blood and scream in pain.

It did not end there, sometimes the bright blue glowing nine tail wrapped around the bodies of the bandits and fattened them to death.

Their eyelids came out round and round as they slammed into the ground viciously.

Red blood, human innards, their bodies were all destroyed, cut, slammed, crushed, punched, mutilated, and toyed with.

There was absolutely no mercy there, the place in an instant had become a hell with corpses buried everywhere in a form that could no longer be called human.

Sudrim who saw that from beginning to end behind the bushes trembled in fear like a child.

His breath was sobbing as if he was choking in his throat. His heart skipped a beat making him unable to control himself.

Tears of pain began to come out from his reddened eyes continuously glaring, he had not blinked once.

It gave him unbearable pain. His internal organs continued to thrash as he continued to watch the sadistic show before his own eyes.

In the past, he was very sure that what he was doing was very bad and despicable. He also felt guilty about it, he had even been tormented with his guilt.

But what about the present? What about those people who kill their friends like they're enjoying it?

... Can they be called evil?

I don't think so, 'cause anyway what they killed was a bandit, a scum, a criminal.

They deserve this death—

“Uukh...?! Uooeeekkkk!!”

—Sudrim, who could not help but feel disgusted at the sight before her, finally vomited.

He spat out all the food in his stomach with pain and sobbing cries.

“What is this?! What'sthis?! Uooeekk...!! Impossible! Impossible! Impossible! There is no way we can win against them!! Uooeeekk...!!”

Sudrim continued to vomit and vomit as he spat out his scream of despair.

In front of him he could only see red blood and human innards alone. He did not want to see that, but, his eyes could not turn away from that hell.

His body trembled and cried like a little child who saw his parents in torment before his own eyes, but, he could do nothing to help them escape the torment.

He was really pitiful with his helplessness. He wanted to run away from it immediately, but, his legs were fixated and difficult to move as if wrapped around by an invisible rope.

“AAAARRRRGGGHHHH—!!!”

“PLEASE AKUU—!!!”

“PLEASE!! SORRY I—!!!”,

“AAARRRGGGHHH!! I DON'T WANT TO DIE!!”

“ANYTHING!! PLEASE ME—!!!”

“HAH?! WHY THIS?!! WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON HERE?!”

“AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHH—!!!”

Although he constantly heard death screams from their friends. Sudrim can only shut up and watch them as he mourns the death of his sadistic friend.

He's not even seen Joe anymore, maybe he's been cut into pieces of meat and scattered on the ground.

The sight really did not look like reality, it felt like a nightmare.

But, unfortunately, the pain and mixed feelings he felt at this moment were a cruel reality.

His eyes could not turn away from the scene at all, he just froze and watched his friends die one by one.

His heart was beating all the way to his brain, his sweat was continuously pouring down his entire body, his breathing was panting as hot air came out of his mouth, and his eyes kept on letting out tears of sadness and despair.

With such a deplorable form, Sudrim Tolekas saw the end of his friend who was sadistically slaughtered.

If this was all the fate God had given them, then, that God must be a Vile Devil.
