One day, Dude is looking for an address, but he has yet to memorize his route. Dude was confused who to ask. Until he saw a girl who had just gotten off public transport. It seems like he does live around that housing. Dude approached the girl, apparently the girl also seemed to know that Dude was looking for an address. The girl immediately walked up to the Dude without hesitation.
"Excuse me, may I ask you this address?"
The girl was wearing a white veil, when seen, she was young, her age must have been far below the Dude. The girl did not stare at the Dude's face, coincidentally the Dude also wore a mask, just like the girl who wore a mask. He just stared at the paper that read the address in the Dude's hand.
"Oh, this is a long way off, sir. Mr. straight on, turn left after that straight again, later meet the T-junction, well there is a white paint house, Mr. straight again, in his small alley, duh. Weaved, Sir."
The girl was confused as the Dude asked about the path that she also had not memorized too much of. "Well! Just a little, sir. There is my neighbor, you will take him, he knows the way," said the girl.
"Now, Sir. It's a little girl she knows the streets here" the girl explained after asking the little boy she said was her neighbor. Dude was very helpful at the time.
Dude nodded quickly while smiling. "good. Thank you so much for helping."
Only now did Dude realize, that the girl wearing the mask was Kinan Adelia, his wife. The incident was only realized at this time, Kinan invited Dude to his mother's house to visit.
"Mas, how come you're dumb?" asked Kinan while putting a cup of coffee in his mother's living room.
"Ki, this photo of you, you want not when it was taken?" tanya Dude pointed at the photo that was stuck on the wall of Kinan's house.
"Oh, this is how it is installed again yes same Mother. Though Kinan is still very cute, eh now is also still cute anyway," said Kinan. Dude shook his head as he rubbed the top of Kinan's head covered in a headscarf.
"It's just right Kinan just got home from college, Mas. At that time Kinan bought what it was in the shop, met the man on the road he wore a mask. Funny, the mask's the same as Kinan."
Dude chuckled while nodding his head. "Then?"
"Yes, keep this little kid Kinan's neighbor."
Kinan pointed at the photo of the girl beside him, about eight years old. "She's abis nganterin a man who doesn't know the way, doesn't know the hell it's a gab so take a photo. Why, Mom?" she wondered, why her husband asked about the photo, is it because he looks geeky in the photo? Kinan wore gray jeans and tunic, then only wore a regular pasmina, plus his plain face without makeup. It was fortunate that he was wearing a mask so his innocent face was imperceptible.
Dude just wanted to explain, Halimah came to bring her homemade cake.
"What are you guys standing there for, let's eat some cake first. This is deliberately you make, so Kinan said he wanted to eat dinner at home, mother gercep tuh make," said Halimah with enthusiasm.
Dude laughed lightly. "Well, Mom's amazing, you can make a cake like this. It's if it's not the wrong name, right?"
Halima chuckles, followed by Kinan. "Simple sponge cake, pandan sponge, surely Nak Dude has never eaten huh? What do rich people eat, Ki? Cheesecake or something?"
Kinan. "Kinan likes mother-made pandan sponge," between Kinan immediately sat cutting the green sponge made by his mother.
"Mom could have, I rarely eat cake, Mom. I was so busy that I forgot what I liked. I think the food is all good, as long as it's halal and good" Dude said.
"Dream ghost!" Halimah patted Dude on the shoulder, then they sat together to enjoy dinner, opened with pandan balls that were still warm because they just came out of the grill.
"O Allah, do I deserve to bow down to you with a dirty self?" Hana, the woman looks thin and pale because for years she was not aware of who she was, even realizing she was still breathing it was like Hana did not remember. Hana only inhaled oxygen just to stay alive, but her soul seemed to be in a prolonged coma.
Until one night, Hana heard the chanting of verses that sounded in her ear quite loudly. The voice of a faithful boy accompanies him in the room of a mental hospital, waiting for him until he falls asleep.
Oh, God healed Mama Rey. O Allah have mercy on Mama Reyhan, he has been unconscious for too long. Allow him to recover in order to worship You.
The prayer was so clearly heard in Hana's ears that it even went into the deepest recesses of the heart. "Who?"
Rey turned around, she ran towards Hana. "What's the talk? It's Rey, Ma."
Every time Rey came, the boy would recite the same verses and pray. Every now and then the boy told me about himself at school, and a lot of other things. Hana listen, she's starting to feel life again.
Rey peeked out from behind Hana's bedroom door. Yes, Hana is no longer in a mental hospital. After the doctor declared Hana's condition was much more stable, you could even say this is a miracle.
Gratitude unceasingly Rey saturates to Allah Subhanahu Wa ta'ala. For him this was the marvellous miracle that God gave to his mother, Raihana.
"O Allah, I long to embrace Your scriptures even though I cannot read them." Hana cried on the prayer mat while hugging the Quran in her hands.
Rey cried from behind the door. He even nodded and trembled at Hana.
"O Allah make me give up my dark past, I do not want it to haunt me anymore. Enough with Reyhan, my son who loves me the most. Don't make me feel the pain of blinding love again. Protect me, Aamiin."
That night Reyhan from behind the door witnesses Raihana's repentance, along with his determination to become a better woman.
In a different place, but both were sitting on a prayer mat, a man of about thirty-five years old, he was a childless widower named Bastian Rahardi Nata, none other than BK Reyhan's teacher. The man suddenly had a look on the face of Raihana, such an amazingly strong woman, who was secretly touching the curiosity within him.
"How can there be such a strong woman, and she is so great behind her weak condition."
Bastian has lived five years widowed after his wife died with his future baby due to an illness. Since then, Bastian has decided to live only as a widower, and not marry again. But, when she meets Hana, she feels something different about Hana.
...***...
Kinan and Dude came home from their mother's house at about 22:00. Kinan fell asleep on his way home. Dude still remembered the photo of Kinan that he had deliberately asked his in-laws to take home. Halimah wondered why the Dude wanted Kinan's photo, even though there are many photos of Kinan that look more graceful. Dude just smiled and asked Halimah to keep it a secret from Kinan that she asked for the photo.
"Udah until. O Allah, I overslept" he muttered in a rather hoarse voice.
Without waiting for Kinan to come out, Dude immediately carried Kinan, he also asked the waiter to bring Kinan's bag and his bag as well.
"Mas, descending Kinan, uh. Kinan was ashamed, where there was Auntie," said Kinan half-pleasingly, though he was still limp from falling asleep for about half an hour in the car.
"You're still lemesy just waking up, after all I like your carry," replied Dude with a light smile, very relaxed, that was the hallmark of Kinan's husband.
Kinan slid his face towards Dude's shoulder from feeling embarrassed to hear that. Aunty just a bit to hold back laughter, although finally look messem-mesem also watch the intimacy of the Dude against Kinan.
"Okay, I got in front of the room, Mom. Get me down." Kinan finally forced, only the Dude dropped off his wife.
"Mr Kinan and Mama want dinner?" tawal Aunty's.
"We've had dinner, Bi. Want to rest immediately," said Dude followed by a nod Kinan. "Auntie is also resting, yes," Kinan said.
"Good, Sir, Ma'am. Auntie, excuse me."
Kinan and Dude went into the room. Then they took a shower and changed clothes, continued to lie on the mattress after tired all day of activities.
"Alhamdulillah. Kinan is happy today to experience so many happy things." Kinan glanced at her smiling husband staring at the ceiling.
"Is there anything interesting?" sahut Dude's.
"Yes, this afternoon Diana came to the hospital. She was wearing a hijab, very different from the Diana she used to be. She also said she was married to, ah, Kinan did not want to mention her name," Kinan told her husband.
"Hmm, thank goodness they finally got married. Are you still hurt by that man?" ask Dude.
"No, Kinan thought it should not hold a grudge. It's just, it's hard for Kinan to forget that painful incident, Mas. Not because of her nullity, but being let down and lied to is painful."
Dude tilted his body looking at Kinan. "Hm, don't think about it, he's no longer something important for you to think about" he said, stroking Kinan's cheek.
Kinan slanted towards the Dude, now they were both looking at each other.
"Kinan continues to be happy because she meets Mom and sees she is happy too, Mas."
Dude nodded. "That also made me happy, Ki."
"If you are, is there anything special going on today?"
"There, Ki. Very special in fact," replied Dude then pulled Kinan's body, hugging tightly while inhaling the fragrant scent of Kinan's hair.
"What's that?" asked Kinan curiously, he held his hot cheek while smiling to himself, something that not too long ago often happened to his cheek when adjacent to the Dude.
"I met a girl I admired in the past, Ki."
Deg.
Kinan was slapped by her husband's answer. "Ga-girl?"
Kinan's smile faded slowly. "Who is that girl from the past?"
"My soul mate's grilles turned out, Ki." The Dude answered him without burden, not knowing that Kinan was cranky in his heart now.
"For a clear word." Kinan pushed slowly on Dude's body and turned his back. "Kinan doesn't understand. Who her? What do the grilles mean?"
Dude wanted to laugh, but he realized Kinan's behavior was even adorable. "Ki, I'm fine if I'm honest with you, I liked that girl first, Ki. But, I wonder, why I like, when the girl wears a mask. I didn't see her face, I just knew she was helping me find an address that I didn't memorize her route."
Deg.
Kinan's heart beat even faster. "Huh?"
Why did Kinan feel familiar with what the Dude was saying?
Dude chuckled, then he hugged Kinan from behind. "Honey, I'm a man in a hat who wears a black mask. Who asked the Street of Memories number five you know. Then you asked your neighbor to lead me to that address. Because you said the road was winding."
Kinan wanted to scream, he was ashamed at once in shock for not expecting that the man was the Dude.
"Darling, so you're my soul mate's grid."
