A loud slap resuscitated me. It was a bang and suddenly it was in front of me. When my consciousness began
recovering, I found myself sitting with my hands over my face. My other friends are all around me
My lips were shaking, and so was my whole body. My eyes are looking for the existence of this creature. Then Bang and held my face with his two hands and forced me to look straight at the
his eye.
"Dec, wake up deck." I heard her soft voice.
But I was still screaming in fear, until the second slap landed on my cheek and I was fully conscious. With trembling lips I tried to explain to Bang and about the sighting, but what came out of my lips was only vague murmurs.
"Istighfar deck." Say Bang ldan again.
I comply. I began to stand up without a sound. Slowly I calmed down. My breath is no longer racing. Beside me, Bang Amran squatted down while rubbing my back to calm me down.
"Back a minute and, uh, this jackass must be tired." I heard Bang Amran talking to Bang Idan.
My stomach that was still nauseous from smelling the stench contracted and I finally vomited. Bang Amran massaged my back neck as I continued to vomit. Seeing my situation and maybe also the state of friends who
else, finally Bang Idan agreed we rest for a while. Then Bang Idan spoke to me.
"Sister said deck, don't look, just focus on the front." Said.
"I don't get a bang," My Bela, "My head is muttering itself."
I saw that Bang Idan was a bit surprised by my answer.
"Yes already. Istighfar aja, call the deck." Said Bang and again, "What is seen do not mention the deck."
I nodded in understanding. Because other than Bang and Bang Amran, I saw a frightened look on the faces of Yuni, Ale and Anes.
Not yet completely lost my fear, Bang and gave me cues so that we began to move again. I'm still limp, swept by Ale aided by Anes. Bang and re-position yourself at the back.
"Remember ya. A straight look ahead. If you see something, just be quiet. Don't tell me." Bang's voice spoke to all of us.
Not one of us answered, I saw something flying in front of us. Curiosity is bigger than my fear. A trait that makes me regret. I saw above us some Kuntilanak figures flying from tree to tree. Kuntilanak grinned, his laughter was enough to make my feathers. I hurriedly forced my face to stare at the ground, hoping that they would not see me.
Then I felt Ale's hand that was holding me jerked. I followed Ale's side-looking eyes.
Behind the trees I saw a large red-eyed figure. His whole body seemed to be covered in fur. But Ale remained silent, though his face was deathly pale and sweat flooded on his face.
Apparitions after apparitions keep popping up here and there. Above, on the branches of the tree, behind the bush. Every now and then we collide with each other because the very front of Bang Amran suddenly
stop over. Once because of Kuntilanak who suddenly passed. Another time there's a pocong blocking the path. The smell goes on and disappears. The smell of carrion is replaced by the smell of jasmine flowers are very concentrated, also fragrant frangipani flowers. Heart rumbles. Prayers do not break I whisper until my mouth feels dry no matter. I don't want to be one of the victims of Mount Dempo.
Then my ears caught the strange sounds. At first it was just a whisper from behind the fog. The longer the other voices
"Alpine.. The alpin... Alpin..." I tried not to listen, but the voice calling out my name was constantly echoing, as if it was stuck in my ear.
Seeing the others cover their ears with both hands, I'm sure they heard the same thing. I looked back trying to see you. It seemed that only he was unaffected, as it still continued to walk expressionlessly on his face.
"Focus ahead of the Deck," he said to me, "Don't tell me anything, don't beat anything."
I nodded in agreement. But it's hard to focus when you're exhausted and gripped with this kind of fear. To my right is the forest. All the apparitions are in every tree there. To my left is the abyss. Terrorizing voices
we're from the bottom of that ravine. In front of me I heard a thud. Apparently Yuni fell, maybe her leg accidentally got stuck in the root. Then I heard him screaming hysterically. I screamed when I saw that
to make him fall is not a root, but a piece of hand. Bang Amran quickly pulled Yuni's hand, forcing her to move. Next I heard Ale and Anes screaming
scared behind me. I dare not look back. As I was focusing on looking down at my own walking feet, suddenly there was a head that rolled and accidentally kicked. This time I screamed loudly.
Every time I hear my friends screaming. I don't know what they're going through, I don't want to know. The residents of Mount Dempo seemed to gather and take turns to disturb us. Seems
we will not be allowed to calm down for a moment. Not far away, it was my turn to shout again because a hand caught me from behind a tree branch that dangled into the path. I quickly let go while shouting and beristighfar. I saw that the other friends did not react to hearing me shout, they must have been terrorized by each of them.
Then a pair of big, black hands grabbed my feet. I screamed hysterically while trying to escape like I did. But the more I tried, the stronger the grip was, the more hysterical I became.
Bang Idan again Bang Idan became my helper god, he ran and immediately embraced and calmed me.
"Silent Deck, quiet. Istighfars." Said.
But the grip on my feet still did not disappear, it was getting stronger pressing on me.
"There's Bang's hand on my leg. My leg's holding Bang." I groaned pain and fear.
Then Bang and two other friends crouched down trying to take off my legs. I could hardly believe what I saw, which a second ago was a pair of black hands, now it turned out to be the roots of the tree that were twisting my feet.
"Where does the story go your feet can get into roots like this.. " I heard Anes ask. He was astonished that my feet were clamped by two roots that were hooked together.
After a long time of effort, three people
it managed to free my feet from that black root.
After my feet were free, giggling laughter echoed everywhere. We looked, panicked eyes clear
it was in our eyes. I am so grateful to my travel companions. Honestly, I'm afraid they're desperate if they fail to take my foot off the root
and left me alone. We pat each other on the shoulder and nod, trying to strengthen each other without words. But not far away we walked, suddenly Yuni shouted loudly telling us to get down.
"Vpppp....!" Shouted Yuni hysterically.
